*UPDATED* | MALM 6 Drawer Dresser IKEA Tutorial

In this tutorial, I'll be showing you step by step on how to assemble the Malm 6 drawer dresser from IKEA. Check that you placed the railings in the right direction.. it happened to me.. I had placed one that should have been on the left on the right side

Followed all the steps and made sureall the CR and CL, and DR and DL rails were in the right places but when I try placing drawers on the other side they hit up against the other drawers already placed in the middle. Unable to fully close one drawer. Any help is appreciated 😵‍💫

Did anyone else assemble their MALM 6 drawer dresser and some of the drawers are super hard to open? Any tips? We have a Koppang dresser from IKEA that slides open so easily, so we don’t know why the MALM doesn’t. We’ve tried tightening everything but it’s still super hard to open some if not all of the drawers.

It locks to prevent the dresser tipping over.. so it’ll only allow 1 drawer open at a time

If you look closely on the white part DL/DR is engraved in it… and the black pieces on them will be labeled L for left and R for right

You slide the cardboard along the back panel first and insert the cardboard back into the sides by opening them a little bit. I'm doing it now and it's no issue
