I forgot to unlock the top drawer and slide it in, now its stuck. I can't seem to get it open. Any ideas?

I can't help, but I'm wondering if there is a way to disassemble that lock thing? There are no kids in the household and this small cabinet is not a hazard to the adults here. Mostly want to get rid of it, so that the drawer opens like the older versions do. Would that help?
