The feds made it very difficult to lose your home a few years ago as long as you were cooperating with the bank and not ignoring them. I have gone a few months when I lost my job years ago...not two years though, it's better to pay it all at once to avoid fees, they end up getting waived if you pay all at once. It was a terrible time, and I had over 100k in equity I was damn well not gonna give up.

@@missa1goins There could be several factors influencing it. First, it looks like this is an older episode. During and after the Great Recession, both lenders and courts had backlogs for foreclosures which slowed down the process. Then, it could have been a federally backed loan which could slow down the process. Finally, she could have a temporary forbearance. Oh, also, she could even prolonged litigation by challenging the foreclosure's validity in order to buy time on the refinancing. But, yeah, two years is a crazy long time. Even with all of these things happening.

I did and she said "When YOU borrow money from a friend no matter how small or large the amount..you should be paying
    back that friend!"
She was quite firm with me as well as demanding!!
She definitely got her money back from me. I had grumbled about not having that much money on me,and she replied "Well, is that MY problem?!? You should have brought more money!"
That's how you turn the tables on a person and "MAKE THEM PAY!"
My feelings were hurt, but I was not correct by being about to use the money that I had.... when I SHOULD have paid her back immediately, when I saw her and I should have thanked her for the loan.

The defendant doesn't know how to prioritise her finances and I think she is not trying hard enough.

Why do people treat other people's money like its free for the taking?! Every time someone tries to rip someone off like the defendant in this case or comes on this show sueing for way more than they have a right to, it drives me nuts! Its not free money, it has to comes from somewhere. We're all working class, we all have to work hard to earn our own money; why the hell do some people feel okay demanding the dimes others worked hard for?!?! AGGGGH the world is filled with so many selfish and stupid people 😭
