@@not_thedroids871She had to have been since she responded to the email a year after the money was lent to her. So when she asked about Disney she would have been a year behind.
Exactly. Even with her defense that the plaintiff said if she can't pay her back don't worry about it, that was based on the idea that she was going to Disney. If she didn't end up going she should have just returned it.
Me either, I thought the bank will remove you just like a landlord. Defendant must have lied about that. She's very emotional for a reason, that's how she get what she wants and she feels bad after making up a lie so she cries
If she had a federally backed loan it is very likely she could have. The feds made it very difficult to lose your home a few years ago as long as you were cooperating with the bank and not ignoring them. I have gone a few months when I lost my job years ago...not two years though, it's better to pay it all at once to avoid fees, they end up getting waived if you pay all at once. It was a terrible time, and I had over 100k in equity I was damn well not gonna give up.
Wolf in sheep’s clothing written all over her face. I would avoid her like the plague and move on and forget that “friendship”. You have to be very careful with people and protect yourself.
This defendant had my blood boiling. Taking advantage of taxpayers while this woman was trying to get her a job, borrowing money with no intention of returning it. She is of the greediest, most manupulative people ever on this show. I was dissapointed that the judge didn't rip her a new one.
Sometimes, applying for a job is not enough. You need someone already working there to give you a referral or put your resume/application in front of the recruiters and hiring managers.
What a bum. Hasn't paid her mortgage in over 24 months, going into foreclosure, can't keep a job to save her life, and yet asked for $1,500 to take her daughter to "Disneyland"... Make it make sense?. I'm curious how she even came up with 500 bucks to give the plaintiff.
@@missa1goins There could be several factors influencing it. First, it looks like this is an older episode. During and after the Great Recession, both lenders and courts had backlogs for foreclosures which slowed down the process. Then, it could have been a federally backed loan which could slow down the process. Finally, she could have a temporary forbearance. Oh, also, she could even prolonged litigation by challenging the foreclosure's validity in order to buy time on the refinancing. But, yeah, two years is a crazy long time. Even with all of these things happening.
Don’t lend someone money to go on vacation. If they can’t afford the vacation, they can’t afford the vacation. If you think the person deserves a vacation and you can afford to fund it, the whole relationship would be better off if you just gifted the money.
She waited a YEAR to ask for the money back? Both seem like liars... their stories don't make sense, asking for money for Disneyland and then don't go, and not give the money back. Defendant didn't use the money as intended. FAIL! Plaintiff made the mistake of saying she fell on tough times after a year before asking for the money back. Judge is the worst.
The lady outside made me chuckle when she said, "it's a loan since it was written in writing. "... because if it's written.... isn't it already in writing? Don't they go hand in hand?
Defendant - too bad, so sad, call your pops for the money, or don't be so smug and snotty when you do beg but refuse to pay the loan back. Pay the lady. Good call, Judge. ❤
Defendant is probably mad at the plaintiff for asking for the money back, bc she said the plaintiff came into some money and it’s no lost to her to give up $1500. But it doesn’t matter if a person has more money than u, if u borrow money than u need to pay it back!
She's not a bum . I am sure she needed the money for other immediate bills and didn't want to say it . We don't know her situation it's not nice to judge based off of a 15 minute snippet into someone's life. And she did pay back $500 so she isn't as bad as most litigants we see .
So now she screwed over a friend who was kind and caring enough to lend her money to go to Disney with her daughter. She showed the world on National TV what kind of person she is and she still has to pay back the money. Way to go.... lost a friend and made a fool of herself. 👏👏👏🤦🏼♀️🙄
Disney World is so expensive. If you need to borrow money to go, you shouldn't be going in the first place. What a jerk. That's the nicest thing i could say without the RUclips police coming for me
I once borrowed like just 25 bucks for something and the next time I saw my friend I started to buy some stuff and my friend screamed at me in public and told me to hand over ",her money!" I did and she said "When YOU borrow money from a friend no matter how small or large the amount..you should be paying back that friend!" She was quite firm with me as well as demanding!! She definitely got her money back from me. I had grumbled about not having that much money on me,and she replied "Well, is that MY problem?!? You should have brought more money!" That's how you turn the tables on a person and "MAKE THEM PAY!" My feelings were hurt, but I was not correct by being about to use the money that I had.... when I SHOULD have paid her back immediately, when I saw her and I should have thanked her for the loan.
The Defendant is far from starving. 🐷 I don't think she ever intended to go on any trip. It was just a scam to get that money and try to turn it into a gift. She should down-size in more ways than 1. 😉
Rule of thumb: if a person gives you money for something and that something is no longer happening, always offer it back. If they don’t want it back then you can keep it, but just have the integrity to offer it back
At the time the defendant got the money she was already behind with her mortgage payments. Since she did not go to Disney then she should have returned the money. Instead she kept it. It is obvious she does not want to pay the money back. How is it possible to not pay a mortgage for two years and still live in the house?
Absolutely. I watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with my 3 year old grandson last night and there were 3 or 4 ads every couple of minutes. He loves that show but he lost interest very quickly because there was practically more ad time than show time 😑
Two indicators of the defendant’s character. She should never have even considered a trip to Disney when she was in foreclosure, and the moment she realized she financially couldn’t go, the $1,500 should have immediately been returned to the defendant.
Why do people treat other people's money like its free for the taking?! Defendants like this are the worst. Whole world revolves around them. She could have offered $10 a week. Something instead of contempt.
One of the worst defendants ever on this show.
What a BUM.
I still haven’t recovered from yesterday’s breastpump case 😅

She knows that and was happy staying on unemployment.
not really.....
Since when does the Plaintiff's money become the Defendant's money? Ridiculous! !
That's exactly what I thought. What makes people think that if someone comes into some money, that they're entitled to it?
Why is it so hard for people to just say they’re sorry and that you’ve messed up?

Is it even possible for someone to be in foreclose that long?
On top of it all, the tv show pays the winner in the court cases. I guess that's part of airing out litigation on national tv
