the judge should not have ordered the defendant to give back the money they earned and were entitled to . why should people work for free for these bridezillas like this plaintiff ! the bridezilla got over on the judge and the defendant and won a free 200 bucks for a dress that was NOT damaged and still looked white when she put it on .
My main concern with the defendant is that he has so much knowledge and so much to say. If that's the case, why didn't he initially have her design something acknowledging that the fabric may change colors? The fabric behaves differently once it is chemically altered in any way.
No way that's not crazy she not only spent $8,200 on a fake designer label she then bought another dress and paid for it to get altered just to take pictures she's got money to blow let her blow it
@cookiekirkland8689 😂😂 cheap, Im a woman and marriage is about love not about money. I don't need to be monetarily "wealthy" to love and live happy every day. Happily married for the last 20 years and monetarily comfortable. My wedding dress cost. $30 at most.😂 Some people need to know the real values in life.
As someone who used to work at a dry cleaner, this man did exactly what any dry cleaner would do. Dry cleaning washes with chemicals, not water. It still would’ve gone in a machine. The shrinkage has to do with the original material. Sounds like this dress was cheaply made.
I’m not buying the shrinkage of the dress. She likely (like many brides do) ate very little and tried to lose weight before the wedding, so she could squeeze into the dress. Then, after the wedding, things slowly returned to the norm.
My wedding dress was the last one on the rack, discontinued, 4 sizes too big and 80% off. Had it altered to fit me. It was PERFECT. I kept the rest of the money allocated for our wedding for our honeymoon and down payment for a house.
@quianawilliams2914 it's like come on!!! Lol MAJOR RED FLAGS AND GIRL play. Your wedding better you damb sure know mid summer outside wedding gonna be sweaty!!!
She didn't look different in court vs her wedding photos. The dress changed colors after dry cleaning, so it's possible it was made up of materials that shrank after being treated with chemicals too... The "designer" is over hyped
I’m glad the judge ruled in his favor. Like she said, she doesn’t know where the plaintiff went after the reception. Anything could’ve happened to the dress from the moment she left the wedding to the moment she took it to the dry cleaners.
@@ginaa284 If I recall correctly, I think said she told him that it was loose in the top area. He definitely should’ve had her sign something stating the dress was damaged before he rendered the service. I know I would’ve done that since the dress was so expensive.
A lot of people think that a designer gown and a big price tag is well-made. Unfortunately, that’s always true. A lot of designers have their pieces outsourced to China and charge a premium for the designer name.
If you spend 8k on a wedding dress, there has to be a specialty cleaner with designer experience to take it to. If this is the case, I'm sure they will charge more than $193. She was being cheap and the ruling is fair.
Anyone who spends $8k on a wedding dress is showing their high maintenance selves on how the rest of the marriage is going to be. Hope he's got deep pockets 😂🤣
I honestly believe that dry cleaner I cannot believe you're wearing is charging $8,200 for a wedding dress and making you sign a contract saying they're not responsible
They do make you sign a contract. You can imagine how many people will try to return an expensive dress for any little reason. You inspect the dress, insure it fits, no returns, no refunds.
As someone who used to work at a dry cleaner, this man did exactly what any dry cleaner would do. Dry cleaning washes with chemicals, not water and soaps. It still would’ve gone in a machine. The shrinkage has to do with the original material. Sounds like this dress was cheaply made.
I'm gobsmacked that they would make her sign a "not responsible" contract after buying a $8000 dress. And the problems were clearly the fault of the mfr, not the dry-cleaner who only followed instructions.
Of course the problems stem from the manufacturers of the dress and not the dry cleaner. Otherwise they would not have had her sign away all liability. That should have been a red flag they didn't stand behind the quality of their dress.
Her having to sign a contract before taking the dress home should have been a huge RED FLAG! I never had to do such a thing when I got my wedding dress. Also, the girl gained weight, sorry not sorry 😅 That's why she DOESNT fit in it. Ten pounds is significant!
If the color changed on the dress, it's possible some of the material shrank after getting treated with chemicals. Idk if you noticed, but the judge did point out that the dress wouldn't zip "towards the top", so the bust area doesn't fit.
No, she knew the dress could not shrink from dry cleaning. So she was trying to nicely say that her wedding pictures and her after pictures yiu can tell she gained weight. She's still skinny, she just gained some curves she didn't have at the wedding. Who knows she might even be pregnant and or had breast swelling from hormones.
What a moaner. She put on weight and should have found a wedding dress dry cleaning pro. Jm forcing defendant to refund her and do alterations as a wedding present is nuts. If she cared that much maybe she should pay the judgment she was demanding.
My parents owned a dry cleaners for 30 years. Wedding dresses are not meant to be cleaned and worn again. That is not on the minds of those who desigo them and make them. My parents would send it out to another company like they would leather products. Spot cleaning happens to all clothing particularly one brought in with spots. The plaintiff is ridiculous.
Yeah, no. A clothing company cannot sell something to you and absolve themselves of all liability. She bought a knock-off and the seller gave receipt saying she paid 9k for it for this exact purpose. The dry cleaning process ruined the cheap fabric, she bought a real dress and then is trying to make the dry cleaner pay for it.

From quick reviews it would see a professional specialized vera wang dress dry cleaner would charge close to 1000 for the job. She paid cheaply and thay happened. Not dry cleaners fault he did his job but something like that needs a specialized person to work on it. Like im not gonna take my lambo to a local shop and expect a good job on it lol. Expensive stuff requires expensive maintenance
Dry cleaning is expensive. I almost fainted when I dropped a nIce designer dress with crepe-like material. Got a great deal on the dress but the dry cleaning was $200.
Google: "Vera Wang dresses, particularly those made with delicate fabrics like silk or lace, can sometimes change color after dry cleaning because the dyes used in the fabric can react negatively with the chemicals in the cleaning solvent, leading to color fading or discoloration, especially if the cleaning process isn't done properly; this is a known issue with high-end designer garments and should be discussed with a specialized dry cleaner before cleaning a Vera Wang dress. If a designer makes you sign a waiver before paying them &9k for a wedding dress should have given her the 1st red flag! Now that she is stuck w the dress she ought to find another dress maker and have the gown refurbished and sell for half of the worth

The more important thing is to make sure the groom and bride have a more bonding relationship and the desires to stick together through the good and bad and honor the marital covenant. The wedding apparel comes second, and doesn't need to be so excessive.
If you own designer clothes/items and need them to be cleaned, repaired, or tailored, your best bet is to go back to the retailer and ask who they suggest or accept the fact that doing things in house will also be expensive. Don’t cheap out on product care if you own an expensive item. It’s really that simple. I doubt it shrank but rather the plaintiff’s weight fluctuated naturally.
I feel bad for her😢she looked pissed walking out of the courthouse. I have never heard of a famous business having a customer sign a contract, releasing them of any liability? Is this a thing??
At the end of the day, she had no proof. The Judge was right, without expert testimony, it is her word against his and he had perfectly good explanations for the obvious issues with her $9K dress. This does not make Vera Wang look good at all.
My wife still has her wedding dress from 45 years ago. What the hell are you going to do with a 45 year old dress. My daughter, we bought her, her own dress, she still has it. Everyone saves them. FOR WHAT?
Milian is so ridiculously biased in favor of newlyweds. The plaintiff didn't prove a bit of her case, gained weight (explaining why the dress "shrunk"), and the defendant didn't do a single thing wrong. But the judge STILL orders the defendant to return the $200 cost of the work that he did? AND is expected to do MORE work for free? Why should he be out money because the $8K dress was crap?
Personally I never wanted a summer wedding for the exact reason it could be a blistering hot day, excessive heat and humidity make everything unpleasant. Instead I got married on Halloween, everyone had so much fun.
