Daily Jazza HEY JAZZA im not very tech savy but this looks really neat ! Does it need to be plugged into a computer??? Or is it a straight forward tablet with a monitor function. Also does it have like an option where i can rest my hand as i draw and only pick up the pen??

Brooke & Bridgette I Know Right this one makes me very jealous! I'm ok with having not having the VR I have a few mess that make me feel dizzy and I don't think that would help. lol

Whenever I feel ready for a display tablet like that, I might consider that Huion. Probably only temporary because I'm only 12 right now. Maybe when I'm 14-15 I'll grab the Huion and when I'm older or if it breaks, I'll get a cintiq. I love my Wacom though. I have an Intous Art small and I love it so much. :)

Cool vid man! The huion and all the other tablet brands beside Wacom started to appear after I bought my Wacom Cintiq. I don't regret it but I had to work all summer to save up for it.
***** Thanks for sharing that, I liked to believe it was a good investment too. Wacom aint cheap but they do deliver great quality and support with drivers and such.
I've had 2 Huion tablets. So far I've had no significant problems with either of them.
Good investment though. What makes wacom better than huion is its battery-free pen unlike huion that you to recharge.
At first it felt weird how you say "Haitch" instead of "Aitch", but it still is a legitimate pronunciation, and I kinda like it now.
Wanted to let you know that your Iron Giant VR video actually got attention/praise from my father, who usually does not show much interest in art!! But he loves technology :D

I bought a XP-Pen (which is basically the same) and I love it, haven't had any problems and it was heaps cheaper then a Wacom

Damn, those Huion tablets seem like a ridiculously good deal. Kinda wish I had that option back when I bought the Cintiq 13HD, which was about 1000 bucks and 8 inches smaller than the Huion.. Guess the last couple of years pushed the prices down after Wacom's monopoly on these things slowly faded away - which of course is a good thing, more competition thus lower prices.

I bought it 2 week ago, its not as good as a cintiq, but its do the job and the screen is great.

I noticed that the screen was quite glossy, I am under the understanding that they have a screen cover that will make it less classy and also imitates the textured surface of the Wacom

Can you make sure to kind of compare it to the Wacom Cintiq 13HD in your review? Because I've meaning to buy a 13HD, but if I can get double the size for the same prize with the same quality, that'd be great :p
Where do you mention what hardware you're running - PC or Mac? OS Windows 7, 8, 10? Mac OSX etc ...? The GT-220 v2 , after trying various drivers will not connect with Windows 7 Pro ie. for me.

Hi Jazza, I bought a Huion GT 220 after watch your review and my display has three vertical areas the depth of the screen and each about an inch wide where the pen stops working. These areas are around 500px between them. Have you come across this and is there is something I need to do or is mine faulty? Thanks for your help.

Q: I'm looking to get a new graphics tablet and I don't have a massive budget (£50 max) so I'm buying second hand, which of the older Wacom graphics tablets would you recommend?
That's the one I currently have but I've always found it bulky and the wire. I was going to get it if I couldn't find anything better on eBay. Cheers though :)

Ill get my Pen Tablet at Christmas BUT today i went to a tech - market an I realized, the Wacom Intous is pretty small :/
And of course, my "LUCK" the Intous Medium is too expansive ;((
i got gifted the wacom intous sketch pad , and after sorting the lag out , it still was very strange drawing on the pad while looking at my PC monitor , i know it takes time to adjust , but im not liking it id rather see and draw on the same surface . the trouble i have is , what brand and model to buy , ive seen some people complain on amazon about the cintiq 13hd saying the screen quality isnt good , and some screens have dead pixels or red pixels ect , with a dodgey hdmi port , but then some others were saying its good . then i came across some reviews on huion gt 220 V2 , im leaning towards it but then i see people saying huion is shit , what brand / model tablet did you get for christmas is it good ?
MR LEGAL FICTION I've got the Intous Medium version, it's pretty good if you draw a Bit or do something with it, Instead of your mouse (except for gaming), you'll get use to it.
But that's only my expirience since i got it (Christmas) so i think it's better to ask jazza 😅

Guys i have a question, im new to this digital art lije really new and i was wondering do i need a computer to use a lcd tablet or can i use it anywhere i want? also do i need a good computer that runs photoshop flawlessly or is it the tablets specs that matter?
You will need a computer to plug it into. Alternatively there's hybrid PC's / tablets like the Wacom Cintiq Companion (And soon the Studio Pro line), Microsoft Surface Pro and even the iPad Pro(though not nearly as versatile and no full Photoshop) and others if you want it all in one.
In regards to running Photoshop, it's the computer that does the work. So you will need a fairly decent computer, but Photoshop aren't that bad. 8GB RAM and a decent CPU with integrated graphics card will do fine. Photoshop doesn't really use the graphics card that much(though they are working on taking advantage of it if you have it), so for the most part you will be pretty good to go with what I stated before. But it depends on your budget. Better PC equals better performance of cause. But you really don't need much. For when not at home I use a Surface Pro 1. That's an i5 and 4GB of RAM with integrated graphics. It handles it fine - I even did a bit of video editing on it, when I was on a trip recently. It should be mentioned it's a very small screen for drawing - Especially as it's not very accurate when your pen is close to the edges :o)
Ok thank you for all the info. Just one last thing i shoulf be able to buy the tablet and the computer for around how much? (im talking about the tablet in the video) would you say around 1500 or somewhete arou d that its good?

If I recall correctly, all you need to do is see if there are Mac drivers available. Knowing Huion, they usually have that.
I own a huion tablet, and I can say that mine (and I'm pretty sure) most others work with my mac.
Anyone got any recommendations for graphics tablets under £200/$200 preferably with displays but they aren't needed, thanks
Joe Delaney you won't find any with displays but I got my intous draw for 150 and I love it
if you are okay with drawing on a 10 inch screen you can check out the xp pen artist 10s. there are some reviews on RUclips check them out

Can we know why? :) iam thinking on buy one of this, so far everything what I see from this tablet look's pretty good.
I wouldn't agree with your comment, CiscoLitco, I own a Huion and it works well. The smaller, display-less ones are very cheap and an easy gift. Perfect for starters. Then, if you're ready, move on to Cintiqs and other more advanced products :P
***** From the reviews I've seen they just have issues ranging from pen sensitivity and horrible customer service. I already have my alternative the XP pen 22 HD artist. I was gonna land a huion but its just horribly reviewed on amazon , youtube and art websites. Not worth the risk imo
