Thanks for the review. I’ve already ordered the Loftie and I’m hoping they’ve made improvements since your review. The other similar clock/sleep sound machine is the Hatch and it’s even more expensive than the Loftie. The less expensive sound machine/clock I purchased two months, called Hotmoon, is okay and has many cool features, as well as a free app with more sounds. But, with all of the sounds on the Hotmoon, you can tell where the sound loop breaks and starts again--and like you, my mind grabs onto that distraction. It has also acted up in other ways and I’m fed up with dealing with it. But I need the machine because I have severe tinnitus and need sleep sounds all night. Between the Hatch ($$$) and the Loftie ($$), and ,the better sound machines even at lower price points still needing to be connected to WiFi, I’m hoping I made the right choice with the Loftie. BTW, you should share you review with Loftie--they need to hear your feedback!
Thanks for the informative and honest review. Have you tried reaching out to the company with your ideas? If software updates can fix most of these issues, then there's really no excuse for how poorly thought out the design of this "clock" is. Like, I get it if they can't install time-keeping or brightness, but surely the other issues you mentioned could be easily resolved.
Exactly the review I was looking for. I wonder if there's a good alternative to Loftie that you could recommend? Literally my main thing is wanting to change the alarm ON the device with something that's modern and looks good, so i'm hesitant on this product.
Happy I could help! Honestly I wish there was a viable competitor but I have not found one. Right now I am using a homepod mini because it has night sounds built in.
Hiii I’m wondering if you can play your storymakers on the clock? I thought that was a cool feature but it doesn’t seem to get downloaded onto the clock, but only on the app? I’m only paying subscription to make those stories but seems like I can’t really listen to the stories from the clock.. Does anyone else have this same problem?
Thank you for the review- can you please comment as to whether or not you have the ability to turn off the alarm before it goes off (in case you wake up early and don’t want to disturb your partner)? That seems to be what some reviews on Amazon have said but I am hoping that an update has addressed that. Thanks again!
This was very helpful! Thanks! I wish I could've heard second phase in the two-phase alarm sound. I'm looking for an alarm clock that doesn't make the typical harsh beep sound.
Fucking outrageous. Thanks for the review, not buying! Someone needs to make a standalone alarm clock with either pleasant alarm sounds or customizable ones (that's where wifi or bluetooth would make sense). But needing constant wifi and having no internal clock to keep time without internet connection is frickin absurd, especially at such a high price.
Just bought this clock then found this review. Big difference, bought it on ebay for $70. At that price I would say it's worth it. I think the subscription is what i have more of a problem with. I want what the subscription does, but seems like an unnecessary cash grab.
The year is 2024.. and I am being asked to pay for a subscription to… an alarm…….. clock…..
Exactly it’s wilddddd. Can’t we go back to just buying a product in full??
I came here 2 buy it. Not with a subscription 👎💯🚫
Appreciate you so much. I was interested in it bc I want that gentle wake up but a sub is insane
The loftie cinematic universe 😂. Thanks for the review, saved me 150$
I can already tell, this is the video I was looking for. Thank you for your attention to detail and honest opinion.
This is the best review loftie didnt want to hear.
Thank you for that ! Just in case you need to read this: Keep making videos, I really liked your RUclips description (Simple honest and brave).

Thanks for the great review! So helpful and exactly what I was looking for!

Great review, thanks!
Thank you for this review. I especially appreciate your honest feedback on features you wish it had and what you dislike about the clock and app.
Why does it need wi-fi.. not being able to change my clock time sounds annoying. You have convinced me to invest in a vintage Braun alarm clock.
That’s nuts you can’t actually set the time from the clock itself. Great review btw!

I use the rain sound on my iPhone all time while sleeping so, seeing this come with sounds caught my eye

Yes you can turn off the alarm through the menu ahead of time or from the app!
This video is great! Thank you ! Please give us more. Love the way you review products with such honesty.
Just got one, one thing to note, the clock does have an auto brightness feature. It is kinda dim during the day though.
Oh, that must be in a newer version. Mine doesn’t have that.

Here are some of the alarm sounds from their website: byloftie.com/pages/alarm-101

Great review and attention to the details that matter from an practical everyday use-case.
Definitely the best review I’ve seen for this clock 😅
Thanks for your honest opinion!

At $70 this is an easy win.
So glad I watched this, thank you for the honest review
thanks. This item is not for me
Amazing review - will not be purchasing 😂
Everything was helpful except for the gay accent, which was annoying, of course.
wtf
@@estefanosuazo4552The accent is unnatural and unnecessary. That’s the point I was making.
@@youtubesurf7003don’t watch then?
