  • Join Alec Kysely and Mike Vaughn in Episode #4 as they discuss the standards in which the American Waterfowler should strive to achieve with their dog. Get an inside view of what a dog needs to know to satisfy the average Waterfowl Hunter and how it relates to the sport of Hunt Tests. This is a very informative episode as it bridges the gap of all the myths between a “Meat Dog”, a Foundation Waterfowl Dog and a AKC Junior Hunt Tester. Sit back and enjoy as the boys are to surely make you laugh with many Waterfowl stories and give you a fun education!

Great positive correlation between the benefits of having a well trained hunt test dog to having a satisfying and successful upland and/or waterfowl hunt! Entertaining and educational-excellent!!

Going to my first junior hunt test ever on the 14th and 15th with my self trained retriever and honestly I’m a little nervous. Listening to you guys has helped me trust in the training I’ve done to this point. Saw your name on the list and I’m looking forward to hopefully meeting you and seeing you run some dogs if possible! Keep up the great content!

People don’t realize how important it is for your hunt test dog to be able to upland hunt. one of the first things that I do is teach upland what happens when the flyer wonders off at a hunt test.
