Love to see Mrs. Coach's big beautiful smile. She deserves happiness. My grandmother lived in the Ocala Florida area for many years. Get ready for some humidity and rain. However, you can always count on the sun and some heat. Make sure your AC works well and make use of that big pool. Also remember, sun screen. You both look fair skinned and it is easy to get burned quickly in the Sunshine state. All the best with your move. We (NWA) will be patiently awaiting your return. Cheers.
Wow, Akita's are large dogs and can be very aggressive. Breed for guarding and the hunting of bears. They also like cooler weather. Keep it well hydrated.
Shiba Inu is another hunting dog. Both are Japanese breed's. You must either have a thing for Japanese dogs or maybe you are a hunter?
Ocala is nice, we spent some time there but decided to go further south. Yeah, we'll invest in plenty of sun screen for sure. We appreciate the kind words. We hope not to miss too many days of posting but wanted to give the heads up just in case.

Congratulations! And thank you for sharing this with us! Florida, the sunshine state, however sometimes weather can be unpredictable (rain, storm, hurricanes), but I must say most of the time you can enjoy having a pool (or don't you have one 🙂). I've been to the east-side of Florida many times on vacation because my sister and brother in law lived there for 22 years before they came back to the Netherlands about 3 years ago (they missed the Dutch four seasons). So, all the luck with moving overthere and stay in good health for many years to come.

Glad you chose south central Florida to enjoy year round! I am from North Carolina also but reside in Gainesville, Florida, and it DOES get cold in these parts! Not frostbite weather, but not pool weather either!
Cool. We looked around Ocala but decided to go a good bit further south. We know it will still get a bit cool in the winter, but hey, the pool is heated. LOL

Thanks you! Believe it or not, the pool was so important to us we scrolled to photos of the pool before looking at the homes when we were searching. Thankfully, lots of homes in Florida have pools so we had a lot of choices, and this home not only had the pool, but the entire house fit our wants list.

BTW, I was upset with the NC nurses who treated my dad when he had brain surgery, which was paid for in full by the VA (Pretty cool for a guy who saw no combat!).
Anyways, I asked them where to go for good NC BBQ and they sent me to a strip mall! Granted it was very good, I was hoping for a family run hole in the wall joint. This one looked corporate backed. TBF, I assume those kind of places would've been harder to explain and get to since phones weren't that smart at the time!😁

Prepare well. Its Hurricane season for Florida. Korean BBQ is one of the best food out there and since ya are also reacting to kpop. Korean BBQ and kpop goes well together. 😏 And its the food most known for foreigners in kpop since its all over the United states by now. Florida is more multi cultural than North Carolina so for sure they got to have some around the area.
Absolutely. Being about an hour from either coast we hope we'll be relatively safe, but we'll be cautious.
What a fun adventure, congratulations on your new beginnings. I have moved from state to state over the years because I love getting to see how things work in other parts of the country. It has been a very nice adventure for me and I went from the dog eat dog world of a big city to a more mellow lifestyle of big little cities. I have all the comforts of the big city without all the stress and hustle of the big city. I did live in Florida for a time but I wasn't fond of the humidity but since you have been in Carolina, it is a way of life for you. I came from the Southwest US to Florida and found it to be nice about 2 months out of the year and the rest of the time it was too humid for me. Ohio was too cold and too humid, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama all steamy as well but super nice people living there. So now I am in the Southwest USA in New Mexico and I do get 4 seasons but they are are fairly mild. Enjoy your new digs!!
Thanks so much. We do love some of the western climates but wanted to stay closer to family for now. Eventually, who knows where we might end up. That's the big adventure called life. Maybe we can visit New Mexico one day. We hear it's an amazing place.
@@CoachCastTV Well, Florida is beautiful but growing up in Southern California where the weather is either Spring or Summer, I became quite the fussy weather snob. So even the other beautiful places I have lived never had weather I wanted to live with for the rest of my life. I think I could live in Hawaii if I could have found work but it is expensive there so you need a steady job and the businesses don't like to hire people until they have been there a couple of years at least because people tend to get Island Fever and scurry back home to the Mainland. Alaska is beautiful too but the weather and the long dark season was just not for me. I never had kids and was single so packing up and just setting myself down somewhere new was always an option. I also had a job I could do anywhere so that made it easy too.

I lived in Florida until I was old enough to start school and my Grandparents moved me back to NC (Lenoir, Caldwell County). After retiring from the military, I moved back to Lenoir. Best of luck on your move and NC will miss you but you will still be able to chat with us here.

Thanks so much! Yeah, we won't be too far from Tampa but hopefully far enough inland to be safe from the hurricanes. Never been to Texas, other than connecting flights a few times.
@@CoachCastTV You're never 100% safe from hurricanes but being far inland you'll have reduced impact generally, 50-110 mph winds rather than the really destructive speeds. Although hurricanes bring tornados within them and that's the stuff that will really tear you up, but you don't really get much lead time there. You should look up historical hurricane paths to see if they've impacted your new area. Also, looks like you'll be moving in during the hottest part of the year and it can get really hot, so be sure to stay hydrated more than you may think, the heat and related medical issues is no joke here. It's not hell, but you can see it from here.
@@kevindean0000 Appreciate that info. Yeah, we talked to a lot of the "natives" of the area when we were there and for the most part that area hasn't had devastating impacts, just some localized flooding and some trees down, etc. We're not in a flood zone, and no big trees in the yard, so we're hopeful. And yes, nothing much you can do about the tornados for sure. We are hopeful being able to be more active and not working/commuting as much will help us improve and maintain our health and live longer. Plus now I have the "Florida Man" excuse for anything. LOL

I lived on the east coast for a year in Nawfuck (that's how it's pronounced, not "Nor-folk") and I always tell people living on the east coast taught me why people awere willing to brave hundreds of unknown miles and dangers to get the hell away from the humidity and the weather. Visited aunts in Florida and discovered it was an open-air sauna. Not fond of heat or humidity, so it's sad to think may have to migrate to the last free states in America, Tx or Fl, and roast the rest of my days.
