We need a new definition of "luxury". This apartment is a ridiculous price for the amount of actual liveable space. Everything about the interior signifies middle income lifestyle which is ok if the price was 2-3K. The real estate industry obviously believe in their own propaganda. Soul destroying blandness marketed as luxury is obscene.
I know Manchester has had a lot of investment going throughout the years but that apartment is not worth £5,500pm! I have been to Manchester through the years and it's a pretty place but feel it's always competing with London. Having said that I like the Kitchen, nice and simple with a good colour scheme, same with the bathrooms as well. But other than that it looks a bit bland with the TV stuck in the corner when it should be in a central position really and the pillar just gets in the way. Another thing is all these companies who are adding amenities which is also helping to ramp up the price, I would just rather pay for the apartment than pay extra for the unwanted amenities.
I don’t even think it’s Manchester trying to compete, this is just a developer taking the piss…I can’t believe any Manc would rent this, I certainly wouldn’t. There are loads of apartments in the city centre at half this price which are larger, and far better fitted out than this. This has to be the most overpriced apartment I’ve seen in the city centre. If this rents I’ll be astonished!
Was there a mistake in the Rental price.....£66,000 a year - someone's having a giraffe !! In Real Estate there's an Asking Price, a Liking Price and a Taking Price...This falls into the category of a DREAMING PRICE.
Great video guys, really well presented! That being said, developers and letting agencies are taking the pi$$ 5.5K for this!!!!!? In Manchester!!!!!???? 🤣 GREED!
The Kitchen area? The living area? the Dining area? Its All one F****** Room Lol . This is a £2000 Pm Apartment .the Fact they are charging £5500 is Outrageous!
Wtf?! I live at embassy gardens in a 2 bed flat in CENTRAL london, with a bigger square footage, access to the sky pool and all other facilities (indoor pool, cinema room, games room, office spaces, etc. ) included and my rent there is £3,300pcm. This is absolutely outrageous
@Ikraam | Honour I don’t think I can answer that. It depends on the lifestyle you want to live / if you have any dependants / how much you want to put into savings
It's a very nice and practical flat for an individual or a couple if they prefer to live in a high-rise building in the city, but the rent is very high! I'm guessing that somebody invested over a million and tries to get over 5% returns!
I mean its cool and probably only rented out for a month at a time by people travelling that can afford it but you'd have to be silly to live there and pay that every month.
I viewed many apartments in Manchester with much higher floor, better facilities and around same size. 2-3K is reasonable. Of course you can list whatever you want. Why not list at £8,000? Even more eye catching 🤣🤣
A lot of people like the convenience of living in the middle of a major city where they can walk or take public transportation everywhere they need to go.
I somewhat doubt the owner will get anywhere near £5k/month for this flat. It’s a lovely small flat but I can’t imagine anyone paying more than £2k/month for it.
I'd willingly pay 2.5k a month for it... IF it had an indoor pool as well. Right now my flat I pay 1.8k a month for is the same size, just built in 2020, very similar interior structure... BUT mine has absolutely 0 amenities besides a free parking spot. I get my flat and that's it. I'm seriously looking to upgrade to something with a gym, pool, communal area, etc. . As an American it's very odd for me to see ANY apartments that don't have these amenities. Before my job moved me to the UK I was paying $900 a month for a 3 bedroom apartment with air conditioning, 1400sq/ft, 2 full bathrooms, top floor, and it still came with a community pool, hot tub, lounge, gym, etc.
So many comments below that I agree with. I can't believe anybody pays that for such a small apartment. No hanging space in the wardrobe for dresses. I liked the apartment/colour scheme etc, but can't imagine anyone wanting to pay that much for what it is. It's not London, after all, is it?
It's so unpleasant in Manchester city centre these days in terms of antisocial behaviour/violent crime who in their right mind would pay that sort of ridiculous money to have that literally right on their doorstep. Anyone with any sense lives on the outskirts.
Video dated but couldn’t help but comment. Properties in this building are tops, £2,450 to rent and that is massively overpriced. Deluded landlord, cheap finish and zero view. This video is jokes 😂

maybe that price in Dubai but Manchester is just crazy
5.5k in manchester is crazy...

Totally agree James

@@rufdymond Loans of footballers live there to be fair, raises the prices i assume. Van de beek, Haaland , Alvarez and others
Even this apartment is way more expensive than the ones in London that has more facilities and better views starting from £2000. This is rip-off!
Was there a mistake in the Rental price.....£66,000 a year - someone's having a giraffe !!

I totally agree, on every point, great video, unbelievable laughable price.
The Kitchen area? The living area? the Dining area? Its All one F****** Room Lol . This is a £2000 Pm Apartment .the Fact they are charging £5500 is Outrageous!
Nice apartment but the price is crazy🥵
Ridiculously expensive and not worth it.
Did the developers forget they are in Manchester and not London with that price?!
Thats the first thing I thought its Manchester seriously

@Ikraam | Honour I have a flat mate so the rent is shared. I work in Human Resources
@Ikraam | Honour I don’t think I can answer that. It depends on the lifestyle you want to live / if you have any dependants / how much you want to put into savings
You must be joking, for Manchester! The apartment is not that big! I'd also like to know how a bit of grey carpet in the Bedroom is 'Bespoke'!
It's a very nice and practical flat for an individual or a couple if they prefer to live in a high-rise building in the city, but the rent is very high! I'm guessing that somebody invested over a million and tries to get over 5% returns!
£1800 a month tops
Stick the appartment in London or NYC and yeah, you could charge close to £5.5K, but no way it is worth that in Manchester
well someone will pay it. they wouldn't price it at that much if there was no demand
Drug dealers, pimps, crooks and people with no sense wouid rent such a crappy apartment
This apartment is tiny for 5 and half grand a month
I mean its cool and probably only rented out for a month at a time by people travelling that can afford it but you'd have to be silly to live there and pay that every month.
It’s fucking Manchester ffs £5,500 a month is insane
The square footage, and decor-(nothing special!) communal amenities, is not worth £5,500pm... not at all!
I cannot believe that price.
5k to live in Manchester 🤣🤣🤣
i think it is outrageous too, if it is a two level 3000SF duplex penthouse will make more sense. But a two bed apartment???!!
3k a month, absolute tops!!!
Beautiful apartment. Not worth 5k. In London you can get something similar for 2-3k.
I love London 🥰
This unfortunately is giving Manchester a bad name
Even in London 5k would be a joke without a balcony :)
I have a massive balcony overlooking the river in the greenest part of london with huge rooms and I don’t pay that price.
8:10 cool but tiny and it always rains.
I viewed many apartments in Manchester with much higher floor, better facilities and around same size. 2-3K is reasonable. Of course you can list whatever you want. Why not list at £8,000? Even more eye catching 🤣🤣
As a Mancunian, i don't know why people rate the city centre. it's too crowded and expensive. the suburbs are great in my opinion
They don’t know any better
some people enjoy living in crowded places, within the high rising building with the city
A lot of people like the convenience of living in the middle of a major city where they can walk or take public transportation everywhere they need to go.
there is no way i would pay anywhere near 5 grand a month for that little apartmant..
I love your videos❤ much love from Malawi
You could get a comparable 3 bed flat in trellick tower, 10 min drive to Notting Hill for less than half the price
Would love you guys to do a tour of those apartments at the top of the Beetham.
We are today in Meantchastaa
Wow
I am fan of the manchester city
5,500 would cover my rent for nearly two yrs
Even in LONDON, £5,500 per month for an apartment like that is pushing it! It's not like this apartment is in a desirable area of town!
I wouldnt spend £5,500 per month living with a column 😆
5k a month for a 2 bed in Manchester, could get something alot better & cheaper in London for that
I somewhat doubt the owner will get anywhere near £5k/month for this flat. It’s a lovely small flat but I can’t imagine anyone paying more than £2k/month for it.

Great video guys! I always wondered what camera and lense Tom & Jas use for their videos? 😊
This is probably where Erling Haaland lives
I would not pay £5K for that, and I live in Richmond, London.
Am sorry but to want £5500 a month for this flat in Manchester is criminal. This is the worst price gouge I have ever seen
So many comments below that I agree with. I can't believe anybody pays that for such a small apartment. No hanging space in the wardrobe for dresses. I liked the apartment/colour scheme etc, but can't imagine anyone wanting to pay that much for what it is. It's not London, after all, is it?
Manchester City 💙💙😌
how difficult is it for foreigners to buy residence there?
Absolutely ridiculous price for such a small flat. This is Manchester and not central London! Where is the swimming pool and sauna?
IDE pay 6k if you came with the flat ,,I’m assuming u can cook clean and shop
I know why this apartment has big windows so the owners can see you coming 5.5k a month 😂😂
Where the hell is Matt & Summer? I keep seeing these two pop up
2,000 max… who in their right mind will pay the landlord that much
"lesser known area of cutting room square"...
"the ARRON-DALE shopping centre"...
The price for the place is ridiculous for the space and the interior. I'm sure the upcoming market dip will sort it out
the flats really nice. But £5500. Shear Greed.
industry hype ..apartment wouldnt pay more than 1200 a month obv there are a lot of overseas people getting ripped off
The locals can't afford to live in the city they were born in!!
Available on Rent ?
5.5k ?? and no space at all is is that for little couple who have no thing to keep ? 5k ? that is a joke and deffinettly not luxury
Give it 5 years and Manchester will on London's price range when it comes to everything!
hahaha in your dreams
I bloody hope not, London prices are just daft…artificially inflated by the trillions of dodgy money that floods into the place….
It's so unpleasant in Manchester city centre these days in terms of antisocial behaviour/violent crime who in their right mind would pay that sort of ridiculous money to have that literally right on their doorstep. Anyone with any sense lives on the outskirts.
Hello please can we see some modern luxury house mansion in Nottingham and surrey please thank you for your time love from jess Xxxxx
6 g's no thanks
That’s about £183 a day in Manchester load of pants
SIXTY THOUSAND A YEAR 😂😂😂
Even worse. Sixty six thousand a year
First
@mh7 🤣🤣🤣
So? u want a cookie ?
Flee Manchester with its low wages and poor job opportunities just like most northern towns.
Terrible kitchen
Why does Manchester think it’s London 😂😂😂
well someone will pay it. they wouldn't price it at that much if there was no demand
Video dated but couldn’t help but comment. Properties in this building are tops, £2,450 to rent and that is massively overpriced. Deluded landlord, cheap finish and zero view. This video is jokes 😂
hhahaha student accommodation painted as luxury.
Are Tom and Matt related ?
Yes! Siblings
Thank you. They are very alike, good looking lads.
You don't boil a kettle
expensive small ass apartment
Dear all,
Please don’t be fooled by this nonsense. Top quality 2 bed apartments, with concierge, gym, swimming pool in Manchester £2,000
Absolute bullshit. This is no where near 1.2k per month.
I was watching up until Jas and Tom swapped
Never in a million years is that worth 5.5k a month.
