Cam Chancellor was the one that jumped over the linemen towards the end of the video. He actually did it twice, back-to-back . The first time, they called it a foul and stopped the play, because you're not allowed to use linemen to help you jump over like that... only, on review, he didn't touch them, he just jumped over the whole line. So.. re-play the down again.. Same result. For a Legion of Boom highlight reel, this was surprisingly light on showcasing their big hits. They had insane amounts of interceptions and stuff, which this showed, but they hurt a lot of people. Didn't play very dirty or anything, just the energy level and intensity the whole team was constantly at was something special for those couple years. You may have noticed the crowd noise setting a new record in the Seahawks Stadium (or affectionately the "Hawk's Nest") was cranking at 137+dB during that game. Routinely it was 125-130db throughout those years, making offenses that were visiting have to come up with handsignals for calling signs, because even screaming in a tight huddle, they couldn't hear eachother at all. The crowd caused delay-of-game penalties all the time, and once they started seeing their ability to actually have an impact on the game, they went nuts, and became known as "The 12th Man" on the field. Between the Legion of Boom and the 12th Man, whenever it was game time, Seattle fans would be gearing up to watch or attend the game, to "Rock out with their hawks out." 🤣

Back in those days I used to say to my friends “If you are playing us on defense you fear getting hit by Marshawn Lynch. If you’re on offense you fear Kam Chancellor.”
There's an old saying in football "Offense sells tickets, but defense wins championships". So yes you are absolutely correct in that a good defense is important. You could argue its the more important side of the ball, especially in playoff times when teams sometimes have more than a week to prepare.
That hit at 8:08 was said to be the hardest hit Gronkowski took in his entire career. One was a flying missile that covered sideline to sideline, the other brought the boom, and the other locked you down. One of the top defenses in NFL history! & they were the top defense for what 4 straight years?
This was a great time to be a Seahawk fan. Really sad with how Kam’s career ended. Also really sad with “that” play call. I was a fan for life after this era.
Don’t forget Earl Thomas! He was the third part of the Legion of Boom that you guys didn’t mention by name. More understated than Chancellor or Sherman but still a tremendously talented safety.

one thing that gets overlooked is just how powerful those guys were. the hit at 8:10 was against rob gronkowski, who is 6'6 and hovered around 265-275 lbs throughout his career. the legion of boom were not scared to put their body on the line when it came down to it.
Growing up as a Seahawks fan the Legion of Boom and Marshawn made those teams great. Would highly recommend and individual reaction to Chancellor, he is among the hardest hitting players ever.
4:56 2000 Baltimore Ravens is the epitome of that sentiment, defense wins championships. the 2000 Ravens is another one of the all time great defenses to check out along with the '85 Bears and the 70s Steelers.
Seahawks fan here... So I've been in some debates about "greatest defenses ever", because... Well you've seen this video. But I will always give that Ravens team the credit they deserve. I'll always put the LOB ahead of them, but I'm also willing to admit that it COULD be some regional bias. Before Bam Bam, Ed Reed was my favorite safety to watch play.
@@wildo4459 Ed Reed wasnt even on the 2000 Ravens, thats how great they were still! yes regional biases play a part, but you have to account for just how atrocious the Ravens' offense was near nonexistent for them. Seahawks at least had a respectable offense to put points up. hence i said the 2000 Ravens is the epitome of "defense wins championships" they not only to outscore the opponents, but also their own offense lol 😂
Offense usually steals the show but watching your defense dismantle the other team can be equally as entertaining. An elite edge rusher that can beat the O line and wreck havoc in the opponents' back field can easily win you games. I absolutely love seeing stats like a team having -10 rushing yards because your D line is so dominant. Aaron Donald is currently the best defensive player in the league
The reason why Legion of Boom was heavily requested was because Sherman, Chancellor, Thomas, and Wagner where all one of the greatest at their positions in the 2000's. All of them are Hall of Famers sooner or later. Also the comment about the Defense matters. The 85 bears had a pretty average offense but their defense is always hand in hand with the Legion of Boom. Bears almost did it again in 2006 with a pretty bad offense. But had Urlacher, Briggs and others.
Thanks for doing this video guys. We in Seattle were very proud of our defensive unit at the time and always nice to see people who aren't as in-the-loop on the NFL appreciate what we got to witness back in the early 2010s. Led by 25, 29, and 31. Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Kam Chancellor. They were a special group to watch.

As someone who has been born and raised on seahawk football. When Earl said "We love that name we protect that name" I got damn near full on tears running down my shit...
The LOB is possibly the best defense ever. I know there are arguments for other teams. But in the modern era of rules being favored for scoring. What Seattle did was nothing short of legendary.
The 1985 Chicago Bears had the best single season defense in NFL history and remain the defense that all other defenses are measured by. They helped transform the NFL from being a sterile conservative league to a league with larger than life personalities. They pitched back to back shutouts in the playoffs, which has never happened before, and won the Super Bowl 46 to 10.
The Legion of Boom were one of the greatest D's of all time with Kam and Sherm getting a majority of the accolades, but my fave was Earl Thomas. Dude was balls-to-the-walls 110% of the time. Another fantastic player was Cliff Avril who never gets enough love. I'm thankful to've been able to watch them at their peak. BTW- one thing about that Super Bowl against Peyton Manning that didn't seem to've been mentioned was the fact that the Broncos' offense that year was the highest-scoring offense in NFL history. Most pundits thought that Denver's all-time-great offense would cut through Seattle like a buzzsaw. Only a few had the foresight to see that high-powered offense getting obliterated by the LoB buzzsaw. The final score was 43-8. Defense does indeed win championships.
loved the legion of boom era, the seahawks are building their defense up this year and its looking like its gonna be real good, maybe not LOB good but man this whole team has potential
Yes!! I saw your announcement yesterday alluding to recent defenses, and hoped it would be this one. Here's a bit more context to the LOB, from a Seahawks fan who grew up watching them (keep in mind that this may certainly be biased, in that case haha) The Seahawks of this era were a throwback to older styles of play. As you saw in the media segments, there was a common conception that offense was becoming increasingly more important than defense, due to a growth in athleticism and rule changes which favored that side of the ball. The Seahawks under head coach Pete Carroll *gum chewing intensifies* instead prioritized a run-heavy offense with Marshawn Lynch, with major contributions from the versatile and VERY mobile quarterback Russell Wilson. Their defense was premised upon physicality and aggressiveness. Kam Chancellor was an absolute force at strong safety. He was perhaps the largest and hardest-hitting SS during his time in the league. I'm sure it was apparent from watching the video, but he was built more like a linebacker than a prototypical player for his position. While typically seen as the least "skilled" of the three (relatively speaking: he still made 4 Pro Bowls) he was CERTAINLY the most feared. His presence alone contributed to offenses not wanting to throw over the middle of the field. If you two enjoy watching the "pure" highlight side of football, he's definitely the most fun to watch. Unfortunately, it's possible that his style of play contributed to an early retirement. Around 2017, he began to have neck injuries which derailed his career, and he left football the next year. Still, today he is the most loved member of that defense in Seattle (which is partially due to the antics of the following two members). As a side note, I once served him when he came into the salad shop I was working at. I was internally freaking out but didn't want to be annoying, so I made as if I didn't recognize him until he left the store. Afterwards, while I served the next woman I was wigging out to my coworkers about how he was my favorite player and so on. She then smiled at me and mentioned that she was his wife and would tell him my compliments. All around a great dude. Earl Thomas was perhaps the greatest safety during his time in the league. He was a little undersized, but his main skills were his range and instinct for the ball. As I'm sure you two saw, he had an uncanny knack for knowing where to be at all times. In addition to being a harder hitter than his size would indicate, his football IQ and coordination gave him the distinction of being called a "ballhawk" --> this nickname being given to any player that shows an ability to get to the ball and intercept or disrupt many passes. Unfortunately, near the end of his career he became VERY erratic and had an extremely ignominious end to his time on the team in which he publicly flipped the bird to his head coach. After this, he played for the Ravens, but was cut after more shenanigans and off-the-field problems. It was a pretty stunning turnaround for a guy who was seen for most of his career as a level-headed player. Personally, my pet theory is that he might be suffering from the early stages of CTE. Doesn't excuse his behavior, but it would be a really sad end to an otherwise exemplary career. I don't know if the Pro Football Hall of Fame has a morality clause, but if so I'm not certain that he will make the cut. Richard Sherman was easily the most controversial of the three, and stood out with other hotheads on the team like Michael Bennett and Brandon Browner. He rubbed many people the wrong way due to his arrogant and flippant attitude towards opposing players, coaches, media...really anyone, ha. In his words, the reason why he had such a massive chip on his shoulder was due to growing up in really crappy circumstances in South-Central LA, and being undervalued by every NFL team when it came draft time. He fell to the 5th round (out of 7) in the 2011 draft, and this perceived disrespect became the driving force for his career. His style of play was extremely physical, and he often was flagged for excessive contact. Despite this, he was otherworldly skilled. He was unusually tall for a corner at 6'3", and while not having standout straight-line speed, he had great hands, body control in the air, and really sound technique from the line of scrimmage all the way down the field. He eventually became dangerous enough to where opposing quarterbacks would simply stop throwing the ball to the receiver he was covering (I will caveat this by saying that he was criticized for staying on one side of the field, rather than shadowing the other team's best wide receiver). His antics, however, were frequently a headache or source of amusement for Seattle fans, and many opposing fanbases HATED him for the same reasons. Along with Thomas, his post-career life has been marred by legal issues, and I do wonder if he is also having psychological issues from repeated TBIs. Players not mentioned in this video were also instrumental to the crafting of one of the probably top-5 defenses of all time, including Bobby Wagner (who by now is in the running for top-5 greatest middle linebacker ever), KJ Wright, Bennett, and a rotating cast of solid defensive linemen.
This video covers the LoB, but you can't forget the other guys that made that secondary amazing; Wright, Wagner, Avril, and Irvin to name a few. That Super Bowl Seahawks defense was amazing.
The 2001 Ravens won the superbowl by 4 scores with trent Dilfner one of the worst qbs ever, and there offense was tragic but their defense was ELITE and won them the superbowl single-handedly.
My Seahawks and their prime. My favorite era of all time. Thanks so much for covering them... If you haven't already I'd love to see you react to Devin Hester career highlights by NFL Throwback. Dude was absolutely insane.
What you said about defense is absolutely correct. 2015 the Denver broncos team won a Super Bowl based off of their amazing defense that carried them all season with the aging Payton manning. The current 49ers offense is elite because of their playmakers, but this year their defense is what really saved their season, giving their offense short fields a lot of the time because of their elite defense
Something special about Seattle, going back to when they had the Supersonics still, is that they have the loudest fans/stadiums. "The 12th man" is HUGE for defenses.
Seeing that in real time was honestly crazy, some May say it’s the worse SB in terms of drama and competitiveness but man it was probably the most Perfect game of football on all 3 sides of the game from the SeaHawks
This era of Seahawks were insanely good, they were a tough team to play especially at home. Century Link field now Lumen field got incredibly loud and even measured as an earthquake on the Richter scale
Wow you guys are going back in time! Our LOB was unbelievable!! I can remember every game! I don't know how anyone that was hit by Cam ever got back up again. He and Sherman were in each other's heads.. best defense in history!
Born and raised in Seattle and a lifelong Seahawk fan here. That Super Bowl against the Broncos and PM was fantastic. I actually got fired from a job because management told everyone if we called out sick we would get fired; I called their bluff but had a moment I'll never forget. I found another job not too long after. :)
Well worth it. I had a friend who rightly was comparing them to the ‘85 bears and when he said that the score would be the same as that SB everyone thought he was crazy. He was the only guy I knew that had the predicted score being even sort of close
Great reaction. Almost every team at some point has some core group of athletes that create an "identity" together that becomes larger than life. Some other defensive squads worth looking at" The Pittsburg Steelers defensive line dubbed "The Steel Curtain"; the Chicago Bears 1985 defense - considered by many the best defensive squad of all time; and the Dallas Cowboys' "Doomsday Defense" - all great defensive squads worth looking at. Thanks for this.
How you going to name dominant defensive squads but leave out the 2000 Ravens manned by Ray Lewis and all those guys. Come on man. Only allowed 10.3 ppg still an NFL record today.
@Lloyd Wright no slight, I don't think. There's been many great defensive units over the years. Do you remember the no name defensive unit of the 70's? Or the Killer B's? Or the Falcons Gritz Blitz?

Just a note Broncos QB Peyton Manning's offense was the most prolific offense in NFL history and the LEGION OF BOOM shut them down 43-8 in SB XLVIII GO HAWKS!!!!!
Not a Seahawks fan but you gotta respect that team. Such a shame they didn't complete the repeat. What a team! With the way the rules are now, it's hard to imagine we will ever see such a dominant defense again. Especially one that carried the offense to a ring and almost a 2nd. Let's not forget they had in my opinion the coolest nickname of any team with perhaps the Steel Curtain being the only other team to come close. Also a little note to you guys. Defense wins championships is a phrase used throughout the US in pro sports. It can be debated whether it's more about offense or defense in various sports. In today's league the truth is that to win it all you probably need to have at least a top 10 defense to compete for a title. Obviously it depends on how good the offense and other aspects are. But for football in particular it is true because the playoffs are in the winter. Although there are a lot of teams that play indoors now. In the past this was not the case as you saw with the ice bowl video and just with the snow and cold that comes in winter. In those conditions it's difficult to throw the ball a lot of times so teams can become reliant on the defense to make a big play or even just force a punt or field goal. Anyway, loved the video! Keep it up!
The Legion of boom was insane but the last 2 clips of Julio Jones is a good note to pay attention to. Julio was the only WR to actually dominate the Legion of boom. You should check it out...after Chancellor of course lol

The Legion of Boom is one of the greatest defensive groups in NFL history. Kam Chancellor, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, were all guys who had Hall of Fame levels of talent and skill. Kam's career was cut short by injury and Earl went off the rails mentally which is extremely unfortunate, but they were one of the greatest secondaries ever assembled.

1976 Steelers defense voted best of all time--and they were great all through the 70s with almost half of the defense inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Nothing like them before or since for long standing defensive greatness.
And that Steeler defense in 1976 recorded 5 shut outs in 14-game season. Check out individual segments on Mean Joe Greene, Jack Lambert, Mel Blount, Jack Ham from that defense. All of them are in the NFL top 100 players of all time.
Don't forget the free safety, Earl Thomas. It's that trio that really made that secondary great. Also of note on that defense is the only player still playing, future first ballet Hall of Fame LB, Bobby Wagner
As a life long Colts fan, Peyton's QB greatness only equated to one super bowl win for the Colts in his 14 seasons in Indianapolis. (Defense is CRUCIAL to winning championships.) Additionally, we've never been to the Super Bowl again after he went to the Broncos. :(
Sorry 'bout your Luck. Too soon? Okay, all seriousness, hope the Colts can put thongs back together and do so very soon. But even the fact that the team decided to go all in on Matt Ryan last year shows a certain lack of understanding of the realities of pro football.
As a Broncos fan, I enjoyed every year he was on the team. Unfortunately, our defense never caught up with the offense until after he was on the decline. Still won a Superbowl. That's what matters.
U need to watch another video of legion of boom. This one was great but it forgot abt Bobby Wagner and browner who were also key parts of the Legion of Boom.
I don't think you guys really understand how good the Legion of Boom really was. With rule changes they may be the last legendary defensive unit to ever play the game. Going into Superbowl 48, they had always been hosted in warm climates to make for a good game for a long time. This one was hosted in New York in early February. It was statistically the greatest offense ever against a top 3 defensive unit (I would argue #2 behind the Ravens, your 85 Bears stats mean nothing against the complexity of a modern NFL offense.) It was basically 55% Broncos 45% Seahawks in terms of odds. Peyton Manning is a top 3 QB ever and imo the smartest person to ever play QB. Absolute battle of the titans right? Legendary offense vs legendary defense, should be a close one right? Nope, 12 seconds into the game the Broncos had the ball and a bad snap netted the Seahawks 2 points and the ball in the form of a safety. Seahawks would still get the ball after halftime and had the ball 12 seconds into the game. They stalled out and kicked 3 field goals instead of touchdowns in a row I believe, allowing the Broncos back in it. But that defense absolutely smothered the 2nd or 3rd (interchangeable with Joe Montana imo) best QB in the 100 year history of football. He wasn't playing with bums either. Demaryius and Wes were absolute studs at the time (RIP Demaryius, great player, great dude.) Final score: 43 - 8. It was never close. I was at a house party in Seattle with like 50 people and it was a celebration the whole time. Complete hype throughout. It's hard to describe the vibes there and later within the city, downtown. We hadn't won a championship for a longtime. My only regret is one play the following year when the Seahawks lost, again in the superbowl. They were one play away from beating Peyton Manning and Tom Brady (undisputed GOAT) in back to back Superbowls. If it had played out differently, I would call anyone who said the LOB not the greatest defense of all time a moron. But history won't remember it that way. They will stick to their 85 Bears where Joe Bartender could play weakside linebacker and they had 3 run plays in the playbook because stats are all that matter.
That defense was broken! So crazy how good they were. I always got Sherman and Kam in MUT. Sad to see how old everyone has gotten and watching that team fall apart in front of our very eyes after they lost that Super Bowl.
If I am not mistaken, that hit on Vernon Davis was the first in a three year series where Vernon got pasted by Kam at least once every game. I imagine it got difficult for Mr Davis to dress for the Seahawks after a while...
You were spot on with the comment about defenses. There's an old saying in football, "Defense wins championships" and it's true. When a D comes together and has done their homework, it's a beautiful/scary thing and the offense better watch tf out
Sherman, Thomas, and chancellor was such a lethal combo… my panthers had some good battles with them. Edit: the panthers at the time used to be called the “legion of whom?” Cause we had so many guys off waivers and random players 😂
For like 3-4 years we had some good game with you guys. My friends would say “our biggest rivals are the 49ers, the Packers, and the Panthers” in part because at the time the Cardinals and Rams sucked hard at the time. I miss those games back during the LoB and Cam Newton era
You're exactly right about elite defense being more dominant than offense. This is exactly the head coach's philosophy. 1. Have a defense that teams fear 2. Have a run game that controls the clock 3. Have an efficient quarterback that protects the ball

5:00 absolutely correct, but it takes a special defense to carry a team to the playoffs without the help of a good offense. Perfect example, the 2000 ravens and the '85 bears. The offensive detriments they had were completely over-shadowed by those defensive units.
This Seahawks team was special. The whole unit from the D-Line to the safeties was talented. Zero holes in that defense AND they had excellent chemistry and leadership. When people think “legion of boom” they usually think the Big 3 of Sherman, Chancellor, and Thomas, but there are some players that aren’t highlighted but we’re still a big a part of that defense being as menacing as it was: Bobby Wagner (middle linebacker), KJ wright and Bruce Irving (outside LBs), Malcom Smith (Backup LB that stepped up in big moments and won Super Bowl MVP), and Byron Maxwell and Brandon Browner who played the Corner back position opposite to Sherman. All those guys played there parts extremely well and made it so the 3 main guys could focus on doing THEIR jobs and not have to worry about covering their teammates mistakes

I absolutely love seeing stats like a team having -10 rushing yards because your D line is so dominant. Aaron Donald is currently the best defensive player in the league
Honestly one of the best ive seen, everyone is scared of what he can do if hes left alone
My fave was always Bobby Swagner. He was like the Tim Duncan of that defense; dependable and always in the right spot with 125+ tackles a season.
I’ve been a die hard Seahawks fan since 2002. I’m almost 30 now and love that you did Marshawn and now the Legion of Boom
Thanks Riley, really enjoyed both those videos. Can’t wait to watch more!
2006 Bears were crazy good
Thanks for doing this video guys.
Hey, thank you for the comment and you’re welcome, we really appreciate it! Bam Bam Kam video has been recorded and it was incredible. Will be uploaded to the channel within the next 2 weeks. As someone who has been born and raised on seahawk football. When Earl said "We love that name we protect that name" I got damn near full on tears running down my shit...
That post game interview with Sherman was amazing watching it live 😂😂😂
Bobby Wagner was amazing he wasn't officially part of the legion of boom but he played during that time and he was under credited imo
That was an awesome era to be a Seahawks fan! Hopefully we are on the brink of the 2nd coming! 🙏 Go Hawks!!!
loved the legion of boom era, the seahawks are building their defense up this year and its looking like its gonna be real good, maybe not LOB good but man this whole team has potential
💯 Thanks for the comment Raul
Yes!! I saw your announcement yesterday alluding to recent defenses, and hoped it would be this one. Here's a bit more context to the LOB, from a Seahawks fan who grew up watching them (keep in mind that this may certainly be biased, in that case haha)
The Seahawks of this era were a throwback to older styles of play.
And Bennett who made a lot of QBs throw in panic, ill advised passes.
@@dwselle Bennett was amazing… when he wasn’t jumping offsides 😜
The 2001 Ravens won the superbowl by 4 scores with trent Dilfner one of the worst qbs ever, and there offense was tragic but their defense was ELITE and won them the superbowl single-handedly.
2000 Ravens, yes the SB was played in 2001 but its the 2000 season squad 😏
My Seahawks and their prime. My favorite era of all time. Thanks so much for covering them... If you haven't already I'd love to see you react to Devin Hester career highlights by NFL Throwback. Dude was absolutely insane.
This one is on the channel in the playlists (Devon). Hope you found it, we really enjoyed that one
@@DNReacts yes I found it!! Thank you so much!!
I'll never forget the first time I saw Kam Chancellor in person on the field. He was a man among boys out there. Dude was a monster.
DEFENCE Wins Championships!
The LOB shut down the highest performing offense of all time in a super bowl game that ended 43-8. They held the best offense ever to 8.
I’m glad you heard the old saying, “offense sells tickets, defense wins championships”
Wow you guys are going back in time! Our LOB was unbelievable!! I can remember every game! I don't know how anyone that was hit by Cam ever got back up again. He and Sherman were in each other's heads.. best defense in history!
The 85 Bears need to be the next defense on your list!
We did this one but unfortunately got blocked by the NFL. We have uploaded to our Patreon with all the blocked videos.
He was the only guy I knew that had the predicted score being even sort of close
the greatest defense of all time.
SPEAK ON IT!
And the saints Dome Patrol
Also the Purple People Eaters (Minnesota Vikings).
Glad to see you guys watching Seahawks LOB. I live in Seattle and have been watching them since I was a kid.
Boom.
"Kam Chancellor - The Punisher" is what you want to see.
Boom 2.0 incoming!!

Just a note Broncos QB Peyton Manning's offense was the most prolific offense in NFL history and the LEGION OF BOOM shut them down 43-8 in SB XLVIII GO HAWKS!!!!!
1:36
Knocked the talent out of that dude. Not even joking.
8:31
Changed the rules because of him.
Bam Bam was the best member of that secondary.
Keep it up!
Thanks for this Josiah, appreciate the comment and context! Agreed about the name, the LOB is such a great name! Glad you’re enjoying the videos 🤝
This was an incredible video you chose to react to! They nailed this and your reaction was awesome!!
The Legion of boom was insane but the last 2 clips of Julio Jones is a good note to pay attention to. Julio was the only WR to actually dominate the Legion of boom. You should check it out...after Chancellor of course lol
Thank you for checking them out. Favorite play rarely shown is kam blocking a couple field goal legally jump the line consecutively.
Hey Cory, thank you for the comment and you’re welcome, we really appreciate it! Bam Bam Kam video has been recorded and it was incredible. Will be uploaded to the channel within the next 2 weeks. There is a whole series about the Seahawks becoming the Legion of Boom. It is really good to see.

Kam Earl Thomas and Sherman, beasts, simple as that, love the reaction
Thanks Dylan, really appreciate it!
The thing is.... those are clean hits. POWERFUL clean hits. 😮
He jumped that kicking line 3 times on that play. He got another nickname that night: The Kamgaroo…Absolute Unit
If you like Defense, the Steelers are known for some great hard hitting Ds from the 1970 to present. The Ravens and Bears have had some great Ds too.
Steel curtain
Once in a lifetime type of players. Man, What a time be be a Seahawks fan
Earl thomas extremely good as well. Crazy ho much field he could cover in such short time.
I was on the sidelines at that Crabtree/Sherman NFC championship game
I'm from Washington state about 5 hours from Seattle. LOVE THE BOOM!
Love this Orbie!
sherman always been a great role player. was bittersweet watching as a 49er fan
5:21 I remember there were times where I had just as much faith in the defense to score as the offense lol
Don't forget the free safety, Earl Thomas. It's that trio that really made that secondary great. Also of note on that defense is the only player still playing, future first ballet Hall of Fame LB, Bobby Wagner
I’ll be by next week. Didn’t know about you. Looking forward to it.
As a life long Colts fan, Peyton's QB greatness only equated to one super bowl win for the Colts in his 14 seasons in Indianapolis. (Defense is CRUCIAL to winning championships.) Additionally, we've never been to the Super Bowl again after he went to the Broncos. :(
And I hope yall never make it to another superbowl.. respectfully
@@thatoneguy592 I promise we are no threat of it happening any time soon 😂😂😂
Sorry 'bout your Luck.
Too soon?
Okay, all seriousness, hope the Colts can put thongs back together and do so very soon. But even the fact that the team decided to go all in on Matt Ryan last year shows a certain lack of understanding of the realities of pro football.
@@Fred_Lougee Couldn't agree more. I'm just along for the ride at this point. a very sad, long ride lol.
As a Broncos fan, I enjoyed every year he was on the team. Unfortunately, our defense never caught up with the offense until after he was on the decline. Still won a Superbowl. That's what matters.
You guys need to watch the Super Bowl shuffle and the Chicago bears of 1985
Yes!!! The Superbowl Shuffle and the 1985 Chicago Bears were an all-time favorite.
Demaryius and Wes were absolute studs at the time (RIP Demaryius, great player, great dude.)
Final score: 43 - 8.
You are absolutely correct with what you said about defense, the biggest phrase in the NFL you'll hear is "defense wins championships"
That defense was broken! So crazy how good they were. I always got Sherman and Kam in MUT. Sad to see how old everyone has gotten and watching that team fall apart in front of our very eyes after they lost that Super Bowl.
greatest defense of all time imo
Kams idol growing up was Sean Taylor. He want d to play exactly like he did. Studied his film in his free time.
i was waiting for that Kam Chancellor hit on Vernon Davis of the 49ers hahaha perfect reaction
If I am not mistaken, that hit on Vernon Davis was the first in a three year series where Vernon got pasted by Kam at least once every game. I imagine it got difficult for Mr Davis to dress for the Seahawks after a while...
Thanks Tony 🙏 Kam video coming soon 🤞
This era of the Seahawks was absolutely amazing
You were spot on with the comment about defenses. There's an old saying in football, "Defense wins championships" and it's true. When a D comes together and has done their homework, it's a beautiful/scary thing and the offense better watch tf out
Couple more weeks of highlights and y’all will know more about this game than the average American. And that’s awesome!!!
Jeez contesting aiyuk And Debo is amazing
You are 100 percent right about that a great defense can carry a mid-offense and many people still dont know that.
As a Seahawks fan that was one of the best times can we all agree the LOB need a docu series
You really need to take a look at the ‘85 Bears. Their defense was absolutely terrifying.
We did this one but unfortunately got blocked by the NFL. We have uploaded to our Patreon with all the blocked videos.
2013 Seahawks best defense of all time 🙌
8:09 keep in mind gronk (the receiver) is 6’6 270 and this hit punctured his lung and later said that was the hardest hit he ever experienced.
Found out more about this in another video when we reviewed Gronk. Crazy as Gronk was a huge guy as you’ve pointed out! Appreciate the comment 🙏
The Legion of Boom was one of the best defenses of all time. They are up there with the steel curtain, and the 2000 ravens.
If you guys want more Seattle sports You should check out highlights of Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton, they were a great duo in the NBA
You're exactly right about elite defense being more dominant than offense. This is exactly the head coach's philosophy.
1. Have a defense that teams fear
2. Have a run game that controls the clock
3. Have an efficient quarterback that protects the ball
Greetings from Seattle!!! Bryn Mawr-Skyway actually!!!#GoHawks!!
Kam Chancellor was a QB in high school. He went to my high school in Va.
Hey, this is really cool, thank you for the comment, we really appreciate it! Bam Bam Kam video has been recorded and it was incredible. Will be uploaded to the channel within the next 2 weeks. 5:00 absolutely correct, but it takes a special defense to carry a team to the playoffs without the help of a good offense. Perfect example, the 2000 ravens and the '85 bears. The offensive detriments they had were completely over-shadowed by those defensive units.
Bam Bam was the heart and soul of LOB ,, Bam Bam was a straigh SAVAGE .. LOB Hawks Forever
Bam Bam Cam was the one that hurdled the center and blocked the field goal!
Stanford-educated Richard Sherman. Brilliant in the field, and brilliantly eloquent in dismissing his critics. That was even MORE fun to watch.
As a niners fan I have so much respect for the lob. Those defenses were a fucking nightmare.
5:15, Demo just described every Super Bowl team from Baltimore ever
