Anyone else thought this was already over?
My first thought was wasnt this show done 3 years ago?
I see some of y’all keep forgetting it’s always a break they take in one season this is still the final season it’s just more episodes to finish it off
If you think about it, this is truly the end of the ish franchise. Blackish ended 2 years ago, and mixedish got cancelled after 2 seasons in 2021. Now grownish is ending after 6 seasons
Just think how it feels to have been someone who worked on all three "ish's". Definitely the end of an era.
Yeah. There’s not much else they can do with the franchise.
They also had old ish in development or production but got canceled most of us felt like the younger kids would’ve had their spin off too and blackish probably would’ve ended on season 9 but it’s best to not get dragged

Me too I heard that it wasn’t nothing else to do according to the producers but they should’ve at least gave him a season 7 and end it like that

I agree, I want to see them GROWN like, the OG cast has been through the process of adulting already, I want to see All Grown Up, or just Grown. Not the usual “will-they, won't-they”
relationship or what/who do I want to be when I grow up dish, I want to see careers being solidified, hiring processes after college, potential marriages, unconventional/conventional relationships, going back to school, quitting a career and starting a new one, businesses being opened, the realities of buying a first home, making new friends as an adult, dating with intention, embracing singelhood in the mid to late twenties, dealing with fluctuating economy, living together as couples, the pressure of feeling the “timeline” to have it all together by 30, there's so many ideas they could roll with and the audiences who watched the show since season 1 grew up/ graduated with the cast so having a mature angle of the of the mid to late twenties would be interesting to see.
But ahhhh we can only dream 😅

Right! It got bad once they focused on the new cast. I think it would have been nice to show the old cast adulting in LA and then it wouldn’t have been bad to see Junior start college as the same time.

It was a mid-season finale. They wouldn't end it on a cliffhanger like that! ABC Studios/Touchstone TV learned their lesson from My Wife & Kids.

Great ending in the series finale! The show had its ups and downs but I think it ended on a strong note with a good final message to sum up the series.
