  • I have forgotten to add more detailed descriptions in the video.
The hairspring was so badly deformed. the inner coil was bent and the terminal was bent at a 90 degree angle, I believe the amatuer slipped his screwdriver into the hairspring and totally mess it up the hairspring original shape.
Sadly, 50% of repairing work was not being filmed under a microscope, and the reason of that I was using my eye loupe to do a close up for doing a difficult task repair the hairspring, rest of the hairspring repair work (which is shown in this video) was easy enough to do under a microscope, the footage is capture by 4K and 24fps. I personally prefer using my own eye loupe when doing this task, using a microscope makes it more difficult because limited space you have with both hands but is useful for check-up for close inspection.
This video was originally intended to test my new AD409.

motivational speech is a great choice I find the detail of the video being recorded 30 years into the future an excellent touch.

You make it look so easy. I always make things worse instead of better when I try to fix a hairspring.

I heavily question your audio choice, but muted it was a great and informative video 😅 love the quality of your microscope shots, and questioning myself if I should get one for my upcoming „fix my own King Seiko mess“ task. Potentially it’s better to invest a few more euros now instead of hunting down a 5626B hair spring later 🥺

Thank you and I appreciate it , In the beginning of my video in the description text duration at 0:13, it will explained why. It's a banter, and not to been taken it seriously. it's called motivational speech. I understand some people like it and some don't like it.

@@watchmakerspecial516 no worries, I originally understood the explanation but it still wasn’t for me. But frankly, videos that would be for everyone would be dramatically boring, so better have some delighted and some unhappy, as everybody unimpressed and underwhelmed. Right? 😁
