McKillops Bridge - Delegate River Diversion Tunnel - Vic High Country

  • The 2nd part of my recent trip.
I left Wilsons Hut and the Victoria Star Gold mining area and headed towards McKillop's Bridge before taking a detour to the Delegate River Diversion Tunnel. This is a very interesting area, with very little history on who, how or when this 80mt tunnel was actually built.
Then it's onward towards the Deddick Valley and the McKillops Bridge with a short stop over at Amboyne Suspension Bridge. I then crossed the McKillops Bridge and camped at the McKillops Bridge NP campground.
In hope you enjoyed this episode, thanks for taking the time out to watch it. Please like, comment and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already, it's greatly appreciated.

Mate, I was thinking, "What, no footage of the bridge?". I should of known better. Ha ha. What an amazing structure and feat of engineering. Although it's a pain sometimes, I reckon it's better to set up camp preparing for the worst weather situation, than to be left scrambling for equipment when " The big one" hits. Top show as usual and the look of relief and the TF moment when the Gopro was still in situ was absolute gold. I'm sure we've all had one of those.

Definitely better to be prepared than not, looking forward to getting a 270 awning in the near future.

Glad you managed to get the camera back mate, all that footage is irreplacable, let alone the $$ value of the camera. Waiting for the video of you camping in the snow and getting up in the shorts and putting the pluggers on still.... You know it's winter right? :-)

That’s it Jase, losing the content would be worse then replacing the camera.
It hasn’t been much of a winter up here at Snowy 2.0 but I’ll wear the pluggers in the snow just for you mate if we get any more this year that is !!

@@Big_Daz thanks for the sub mate I appreciate it.
I’ve been told I should have a crack but I’m time poor when I’m filming, and if I did try I wouldn’t be giving it my all. Have a few mates that are getting into it so you never know one day maybe.

Yeah the camping side of things is a real let down. I was going to camp on the river below the bridge, but knowing my luck I’d get caught and cop a fine !

Don’t be fooled either of you come in from Suggan Buggan at McFarlanes Track and think you can drive it as there is only a road closed roadwork sign there, it’s gated at Cobbera’s entry on Limestone Rd, unsure if you can get out via Cowombat Track.
