    What is the difference between the 99 dollar indie version and the 299 version.

    • @Glenn3D1993
      @Glenn3D1993  Год назад

      Few more import export options and access to Beta, so you get to play with new features/improvements before indie stable release. Indie version 1.1 to 1.2 is almost 2 months wait, but there were about 20 versions in-between on the Beta. There's 4 licenses that come with the Studio version.

  • @fx3casey
    @fx3casey Год назад +1

    You may say somewhere, but looks like you are using the "Studio" version. My Indie license does not show some of the functions you are using. The patch hole in my Indie version does not provide for the various continuities. Correct?

    • @Glenn3D1993
      @Glenn3D1993  Год назад

      Correct, I'm using the Studio Beta version. 1.2 version will be out July 15th for all versions. Then everyone will be caught up again. Sorry I try not to use too many new functions before the official release, but I forget what's new and old with this update.

    Such a great Amrican accent. I think he should say 'Houston I think we have a problem.' Great voice for counting down a rocket. I think he should get a job with NASA in case they start flying rockets again. Oh yeah he's also great at Plasticity. Thanks. I'm not American by the way.

    I can't figure out what you press to show the faces. Is this some kind of customization ? I think you press the "I" key, but it doesn't work for me.

    • @Glenn3D1993
      @Glenn3D1993  Год назад

      Yes, it's a custom shortcut. Press f and find viewport: toggle edges and right click assign shortcut to whatever key you want.

    Thanks for the video! Tips are really usefull.
    I want to add a small tip to the list to speed up the process.When using mirror functionality and whant to merge 2 parts together, you can not just click the button in the Mirror menu, but use Q key as in Boolean feature - it will do the job.

      Cool. Thanks, that is annoying having to click that. Definitely put that in the next video.

    I tried the trial version.very useful program.I can only devote my between blender or this program.blender has a large community behind it,but I'm not sure if plasticity will develop a similar following

    • @Glenn3D1993
      @Glenn3D1993  Год назад

      True, blender has a massive following, but that came about from years of being out there. Plasticity is just a few months old and I'm already seeing some industry vets playing with it, whether they stick with it or wait for it to mature, not sure. I believe it's just a matter of time that it'll take off. Right now you have time to get caught up with Blender, but keep an eye on Plasticity and be ready to jump onboard.

    excellent. eliminating that "harsh" middle transition tip was cool. add the loops (ctrl + r), delete the errant faces, and then reflow. sweet!

    Glenn awesome video, how did you create those panels on the engines? Still trying to figure out how to make those smaller skins like that for armor plating.

    • @Glenn3D1993
      @Glenn3D1993  Год назад

      Did them by imprinting it on a duplicate sheet, extrude, and beveled it. Then do a circular array on it.

      It's a work in progress, still early in design.

      @@Glenn3D1993 Bumper might work if it gets more detail everywhere else but I personally liked the silhouette without the bumper. Would also give it a bit more sleek meets retro look maybe.

    • @robertdouble559

      I like the bumper. The overall design kinda reminds me of something you might see flying around New New York on Futurama.
