As soon as I saw Roy's answer, I thought, duh, I’m glad Roy won. Loved him on the Daily Show. I said the same as the other guy. (Sorry, don't remember his name.)
Thank you for posting this. I had recorded the episode and sat down today to watch it, not realizing that I wouldn't see the end.
Thank you for posting this on here....I recorded it on my DVR, but a Special Report came on right before FINAL JEOPARDY because of the plane crash over the Potomac River.
i thought this was a little too easy for a final jeopardy, then i realized it's celebrity jeopardy
I thought exactly the same thing. The only thing that gave it away for me was the third place girls reaction.... and her bet.
I had no idea what the answer was
A heavy ball that is used one-handed by adults and two hands by children, my mind instantly went to bowling.
Roy came to dominate!
Roy's answer made the most sense. Congrats to him on becoming a Celebrity Jeopardy semifinalist!
This was the only way I found out who won this game: the show was interrupted by the breaking news of the plane crash and the casualties 😢
same
Just watched the recorded version which was ruined by special news coverage. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for posting this as the end was preempted for the plane accident
Once I hear “Jason Belmonte” aka Belmo I knew it is bowling.
Sorry I missed it because the rest of the episode got forwarded to another show after a special report was held on ABC.
I think it happened with everyone from the central and the east coast (mine did too).
@Mr.Face222 Yup because I live in Ohio and it already occurred.
As a professional bowling fan myself I immediately knew this answer
Bowling was just the first thing that came to mind
Good game.
Easy one since there's tons of videos on here about two handed bowling and so many comments saying it's not real bowling.
My initial guess was "What is volleyball?" 'cause I was thinking about the tossing with two hands since that's what I often see. I then managed to get the correct response at the very last second.
As soon as I saw Jason Belmonte, I instantly knew the answer
Jeopardy! posted this on their Facebook page and Jason Belmonte himself commented 😂
TJ MACK
I’m a very unprofessional 2 handed bowler.
That’s the first final jeopardy I’ve ever won, but it doesn’t count cause it’s celebrity jeopardy
He has been to my small town bowling alley. There is a picture of him and the previous owner Mike.
Is it really a "throw" though? I guessed the correct answer since it was the only thing that made sense, but "throw" almost threw me off.
Yeah, "roll" may have given it away even more.
I worked in a bowling alley as a teen. You can characterize some folks as "throwing" the ball. 😬
Can't imagine what else I would call it.
I guess it wrong. I was thinking a shotput too. Mind you a shotput ball can be very heavy too. I don’t think a toddler can really lift that.
A toddler might struggle to lift anything but a nerf ball.
I’ve never seen a 2-handed shotput throw - not even sure the sport allows that
I hope Brian Jordon Alvarez has a good reason of why he didn’t risked $11,201.
Maybe, he’s not a sports fan.
What is bowling… dude perfect anyone?
Strike for Roy. Gutter ball for Brian and Phoebe.
😂 Oh no that hurts.
I was just playing with them.
Cute
Bowling that correct, Roy wood jr advances to semi finals. Congratulation 🎉
Fans of The Big Lebowski should get this one.
Everyone says this is obvious, but ... Umm, most of us dont know anything about bowling as a sport...
Did anyone guess the answer without knowing who Jason Belmonte is?
Yes, a heavy ball that is frowned upon to throw with two hands. It was logically a bowling ball.
✋
@sdtrawick Two of the contestants got it wrong, though.
@ Not everyone is good at logical thinking.
I can say I didn't because I know who Jason Belmonte is.
1:07 Shhhh! Don't be so disgusting Phoebe.
What is bowling?
The term celebrity was used very loosely here...
Dude...
We know the answer here!
Spoiler alert: The correct answer is: "What is bowling?"
These contestants are celebrities?
These are celebrities?
First came the shock at how crazy easy this final jeopardy was. Then the second shock that only one person got it right
I guess you're a genius...
I guessed basketball, also.
Comment to prevent spoilers
Just posted the answer in the comments
Why do people get upset about the answer being posted in the comments? Watch the video before looking at the comments. Does this have to be explained?
@@jad1079 Because there are comments that are displayed under the video player as the video begins. This spoils the video for people that like to figure out the answers for themselves by watching the video. Very similar to the idiots that walk out of a movie theater after watching a mystery movie and loudly commenting about the ending as people walk in.
@@peterddb1593. If you know your device does this, all you have to do is put your finger over the comments. That seems so much more reasonable than all these complaints about spoilers.
@@jad1079You can’t fix stupid 😂
Calling Belmo a professional 2 handed bowler is like calling Usain Bolt a professional tall sprinter. Jason is arguably the best bowler of all time.
Way to be the douche who ruins the answer for others. I saw your response on the front page before I was able to watch the video. There is ZERO reasons why you need to write the answer here.
@@ScoutJordan-i5zIn this case, the answer was 100% obvious.
Alpha hotel.
Not sure how one is able to see the comments before the video plays.
@@ScoutJordan-i5z. You very frequently complain about this. Doesn’t it ever occur to you to control your own experience by putting your hand over the comments on your device? People come to the comments to discuss the questions. There will be spoilers.
These people ever hear of a granny shot in basketball?
That was my initial thought too.
Did this Celebrity Jeopardy episode have long, medium or short ending credits?
I guessed correctly, though I didn't expect to. It just seemed too obvious. Perhaps those 2 contestants thought the same thing.
No, it's celebrity Jeopardy. If it seems too obvious you still probably have the right answer.
I love how easy these answers are and they still can't get them. Need more SNL skits lol
These are "celebrities" by what measure exactly?
The same measure as always: being famous. It's not on them that the proliferation of media and the growth of the population means that any given time there will be more famous people than there used to be back in, say, the 1980s, and we won't all be as familiar with every single one because there are simply a hell of a lot more of them. Roy Woods, Junior, for example, was a regular correspondent on The Daily Show before getting his own show, Have I Got News for You, on CNN last fall. Daily Show had a viewership of 12 to 15 million people. Where I'm from, somebody who's watched by that many people definitely counts as famous. Recognized him the moment I saw him, but just because I don't know the other two on sight doesn't mean I'm going to go whining that they don't deserve to be on the show.
Final Jeopardy Clue: 2/5 Stars
Just watched the recorded version which was ruined by special news coverage. Thanks for posting!
