I would like to share story about disinformation.Almost one year ago, in our country, a women was killed by common people due to rumour as someone identified the women as a kidnapper and news speared all over school within 1-2mint and everybody just rush on her and killed her.Meanwhile, school boy came there and started to carrying.Actually women was a mother of boy and waiting for her kid😑

I've seen in some academic essay word 'to inform.. something' not someone, still don't know what it means :) Could you explain this usage of the word pls?
“Inform something” means: “to have an influence on something” E.g: Religion informs every aspect of their lives.
