Could have been worse hence why it's technically a good ending even if it's a sad tale. It's why I love the Witcher there's a lot of difficult and morally gray choices, but usually there's always a way to either make things right or make things better at the very least.
And what was he supposed to do, not save a man from monsters? And man he saved knew the risk of transporting dead bodies but claimed that no sickness can hurt him. Also, that the pay is good. Its not Geralts intentions that led to tragedy it was stupid mans greedy belief he is indestructible. Just as in real life usually, thats the lesson here.
Lesson here is, that ignoring health and safety instructions in your work and belief, that nothing bad can happen to you can lead to tragedy. Even if the pay is good.

First part of quest is possible to miss, because encounter is disabled during Ghosts of the Past (Letho's quest), which you'll likely have active when travelling this road for the first time.
@@ayoubmorjane7722 that s it exactly. On my first Time i Always used fast Travel and missed so much quest like this one. From now on i use fast Travel as less as possible in any games.
I actually found this on my first play through! There’s a glitch sometimes when you choose to kill him, he’ll stand beside his own burning body with the question marker above his head 🤦♀️
never thought this quest have a second part. i am in my 9 playtrought and just when i think i already did everything in this game i'm surprised with something new, man, i love this game
Yes, the quest involving the plague and Iorveth was quite intriguing. It’s a shame some parts were cut, but it’s interesting to think about what could have been included!
Wasn't there mentions of it during the first part of the game game ? I remember something on an island, shorty after we get the lantern, a woman Ghost we escort and end up releasing a plague. Smth to do with the witch we can turn from the emperor to khaer moren
@@EidolonPoet There are mentions of it but there were supposed to be big questlines involving it. As for the woman you're talking about, that was unrelated to the other plague. She was a plague maiden so if you bring her remains off of the isle her essence brings plague in that area.
@@EidolonPoet The Tower of Mice was actually part of the main quest, in Act 2. It was then declassed to side quest after a rewrite in 2014 and the whole Act 2 was basically butchered, only the "gather allies", "isle of mist" and "kaer morhen battle" survived
Oh ya i ran into this dude by accident my previous playthrough. Kinda funny actually, ive always been like he claims to be - i never get sick. Unlike him i still keep precautions but every bad disease thats gone around, ive never gotten it despite the odds. After i played this quest, i got covid.
Damn after countless playthroughs I never knew there was a follow up to this quest. It’s kinda funny thinking of it since Assassins Creed Odyssey had a very similar quest where you had to choose between saving an entire family stricken by disease or letting them die.
I dunno how folks can play through such an epic game but not find exploration type mini-quests, like this one in Velen. One of the best parts of The Witcher 3 is just foregoing the main quests for a while, and travel the world. Explore. Find stuff. Get immersed.
An interesting detail - in the first interaction, he has no interest in burning the corpses and is fine with spreading the disease. In the second interaction, he asks to have his remains burnt. Perhaps after experiencing it he gained a level of empathy.
Witcher is such a beautiful game. But then i remember it's also depressing as hell sometimes. That is probably why it's my second favourite game of all time
I love how he says "thanks for the wise counsel" when in reality the bottom line of the entire dialogue in the first quest was like: "Yo dude you're stupid" "No I'm not" "But you're really, really stupid though" "Oh damn you're right, thanks for yer wise counsel" Which is another reason why I think it's cool how authentically they depicted the average peasant in the Witcher universe: Dumb as rocks and twice as dense.
Lesson: if a specialist in safety measures tells you to burn your clothes and clean yourself thoroughly, you do just that, then shave your body hair and burn it as well just to be sure.
Taken from Witcher wiki: If the first part of the quest isn't completed by the time Ghosts of the Past is started, it will not be available until after Ghosts of the Past is finished. Also this quest is proximity sensitive, meaning if you go too far from the vicinity it will fail. Hope it helps :)
xletalis viewers:😐😐 Sorry, seriously no offense but almost every xletalis viewer know about this mission.😅 I did this mission on my first playthrough and then I found on internet that it's an easy to miss mission.😆😆
So saving him resulted in his whole family dying and him begging for death. As usual in witcher - good intentions often result in bad outcomes.

No, he did this through his arrogance, not through being saved, but not doing as she was told.
CDPR loves difficult choices
There are no good or bad choices, there are only choices and their consequences.
"Respectfully, Mr Witcher, if I was a Witcher like yourself or a mage, I wouldn't be hauling corpses for a living."
True! Haha

they use same faces and voices a lot in the game
