    Great Job Moose! You said just enough, no bullshiting around. Concise, informative. Just the way an instructional video should be done.

    Best video and have seen on this..only thing I did was keep the stock bolt vs the new bolt because I did not seen a number on the new bolt for a rating.

    The LED’s down below are an absolute must and will look fantastic. That Gold Strike is setting the performance bar for this new generation Wing’s critical lighting accessories. IMHO the fit and finish is tops. Look’n good Moosey.

      Hey Road Glide what LEDs are you referring to please

    Looks pretty simple install. I use Canon Dancers when I strap mine down to the trailer.

      Honda does not recommend using the handlebars to tie the Goldwing down.

    You did good job with this video. I did this install last week and could have used this video to help me orient the brackets quicker. My bike has the Honda cowl lights installed and they are in the way of removing the horn brackets, but it is not too difficult to reinstall them. I rarely have my Wing on a trailer, but this is a convenient "just in case". For riders with Canyon Dancer, I suggest a good chock and frame ties too, keeping the "Dancers" just barely snug to protect the secondary steering stem threads.

    I bought the same ones, due in the mail Tuesday. For strapping bike in the bake of my Toy Hauler garage.
    Those 4-5-6mm T handle allen wrenches are a must have if you own and work on this motorcycle for sure. Good video, thanks for posting.

    Update on these... I hauled my goldwing 525 miles in the back of my toy hauler using these takedowns. Works perfect with a wheel chock. Videos in process.

    I just installed mine and had to use a large “C” clamp to pull the bar into position and a hydraulic jack under the bar to align the top hole on the left side. I had the same problem on both the 2019 DCT and the standard 2018 I own. The right side aligned perfectly on both bikes.

    Hey Moose Rich here from Colorado,Nice video on the brackets.Going to install them too.They should work better than Canyon Dancers that I have as well.Looking forward to long distance towing to places to ride.I know that’s the wrong way to ride a Goldwing but you got to do what you gotta do.If you want to do the same with Mike you can park at my house.Take care!

    I don't see any reason not to reuse the original bolt. It appears to be a hardened bolt unlike the replacement bolt. I use blue locktite on any bolt on products for a motorcycle.

  • @teddworak4193

    Nice video , I disagree about the most difficult part is to reinstall the supplied top bolt, what is not mentioned if you have 2020 with fog lights, is require more work removing the brackets and hope your alignment is correct.

    • @moose3971
      @moose3971  3 года назад

      I imagine it would add a bit of difficulty if fog lights were already installed.

    Moose, the lower driving lights are really worth the money!

    For the 18 +, Is it easier to get the bracket that mounts on the steering stem with a U bolt? It takes 5 mins to install !!!!!!!! Kuryakyn makes it.

    Hey Moose, great video, curious, what would u use for rear attachment?

    • @moose3971
      @moose3971  3 года назад

      I'm not sure, I guess it depends on whether I need to compress the suspension at all. Could use the rear wheel, or I think there are areas on the bike where you can reach places on the frame.

      @@moose3971 I tied my down today using the steering housing with soft ties in a slip knot and putting a strap on each rear foot peg mount then to the trailer. Seems to work OK and the foot peg mounts should be sturdy enough.

    Thanks for the video. Any idea if the driving fog lights would need to be removed to install the brackets or can they be installed without having to disassemble the fog light bracketry

    • @winginitwithjohn8451
      @winginitwithjohn8451 4 года назад

      I think this bracket will share the horn bolt with the Pathfinder LED fog lights bracket. I'll know in a few days, my lights are installed, waiting on the brackets.

    • @moose3971

      Wingin' It with John I shall look forward to the information. I am curious myself. My lights will arrive tomorrow. Try and look at the brackets on Tuesday to see what needs to be removed.

    Not an expert by any means but for such a heavy bike, they seem kinda low; seems something higher up wd b better for left/right leaning stability.....or am I just crazy??

    • @07GoldWinger
      @07GoldWinger 3 года назад

      Not crazy but the Goldwings have a very low center of gravity

    • @moose3971
      @moose3971  3 года назад

      A bit low, makes it scrape faster, the Trophy was higher didn't scrape as easy, but I think the bike was designed around being more of a sporty bagger, than a sport tourer. it handles well and the weight being low makes it easy to pick back up if its on its side.

    • @gerrellbradshaw6083
      @gerrellbradshaw6083 3 года назад

      Front tire should be in wheel chock. With that I think you'll be fine with tie downs strapped forward of the bike.
