    4 years doing bjj and never once I saw such details on a move that is constantly taken (and given) for granted.

      It's so underrated but also the basic movement for so many other sweeps. Foundations that we (especially me as a white belt) don't perfect will bite us later with other moves/skills.

    He s a student of Chris haueter and atkins.......this is straight from their seminar. As a BB I teach my students this technique, but to grasp the technique fully is to pay attention to the details. Shoulders and back press into the floor and you engage your tailbone. You rotate your head at a 35 degree angle in the direction that your going to bridge. I'm able to off balance everyone ( blackbelts included) without even trapping the arms.....it's all in the connections.......it works beautifully and without any effort

    I know this is the "clock upa" aka rickson gracie mount escape. this is my immediate go to whenever i get mounted. I find it works more efficiently for me when i put both my heels together to block their ankle.

    I guess "tucking your tailbone" = posterior pelvic tilt aka flattening your low back?

    My daughter weighs 140 pounds less than me…the leg tuck and shift weight did the trick for her thanks!

      Please allow me to not disclose the name of my gym because I don’t want to damage their reputation; but it is a very famous one, every BJJ people know them.
      There is an update of my study of the technique. So I asked a senior white belt who knows more to be my Uke, it took him like 5 minutes and then I learned a ton from him, I think I reached a level that I feel happy on this technique after he taught me. I spent a very long time in the gym, and the quality of him teaching me for 5 minutes beat all the time that I invested in the gym. Not just that, I find that feedback from certain white belts just help me improve so much more than taking class.
