Yes, the game is very generous with fates.
The game definately understands how things can be interpreted by different people.
In pretty much all cases, it will accept all answers that are technically correct. In several specific cases, this can even change the payouts at the end of the game - for example, if you say someone was killed vs being crushed by falling cargo, the person accidentally responsible either will or will not have their estate fined depending on how you choose to interpret the death.

Heckkk yeah! You know that feeling when you finish a new game and you're like "Damn, I want to see what others thought, I really hope a streamer I like has played this!" Imagine my joy finding that drawfee has played this already. Heck yeah, time to settle in for a good time.
Man, I was watching through SSS back catelogue, got to this video and was like "you know what, I'll skip the Dinn series and come back to it after I play myself". It was the push I needed to finally buy and play the game and holy shit I'm glad I waited and didn't spoil myself. This game is full of moments I never expected, and a delight to playthrough. For anyone who likes logic games, I recommend playing this without reading anything about it. Just be warned there's some gruesome deaths in it (but only sound and still images, no moving images ever happen).
Edit: It's amusing to me how much Julia overthinks this in the early days. Fingers crossed she gets out of the "but maybe..." habit, otherwise nothing will ever get solved :P Also glad I'm not the only one who struggled with tattoo guy. The game thinking you should recognise him immedtiaely from his tattoos isn't great when he mostly looks like a European guy with celtic tatoos; one of the few flaws in the game imo.
It is absolutely delightful to watch _everyone_ put him down as the Bosun's mate, though, before eventually realizing that no, he's not.

Identifying the tattoo guy was one of the hardest parts of the game, for sure.
I had to do it by making a paper list of all the hammock numbers that were up in bitter cold, cross referencing them against all of the hammocks that were up in doom, narrowing it down to two possible hammocks, then I noticed one of those had a leg hanging out with no tattoos on it, meaning it had to be that one character.
The idea that the game thinks it is possible to identify him on the first memory is completely insane. there is literally nothing to base it off of at this point
The game was great, but this is a weak point I think
There was also absolutely nothing hinting at the identity of the bald guy with a stripey shirt.
@@catsnorkel They're probably expecting you to recognize that those tattoos are tribal tattoos and then check the list for crew members whose origin made sense for them to have them. At least, that's the method I used.
