I am so happy that I found this hidden in my computer. I met this wonderful artist and have a picture of us together. He was my first inspiration to begin painting, and I painted a lot of nice scenes after that. I have my own little gallery in my hallway.
I know what you mean, only thing about Bob is it seem like he learned from bill but never gave him any shout-out on his show. Kinda scued my opinion of Bob
@@joshuavarner8554 Except Bob Ross did, season one episode one he flat out tells you he got taught by the great Bill Alexander, and wants to share that method. Season 2 was also dedicated to Bill Alexander.
Bill Alexander has become my artistic master. He is indeed a great teacher. Believe his instruction and work is at a level well above that of Bob Ross. I have learned so much from him. His later shows were very focused on instruction.
Good morning great Master Alexander: In addition to being a wonderful and creative, you are distinguished by you and the group of artist you host, you do not hide any thing from the viewers/followers. starting from(mixing colors and techniques, and the method of using drawing tools and media... This is the secret of your greatness and creativty as a human and an artist... Thank you so much and for the group of artists that share with you... By the way, The video of this Day (dark and not clear)... Greetings and appreciation to all of you... 👍💐💐💐💞
He died in 1997. Remember you're looking at a PBS broadcast from 1974-1982. 4k quality hadn't been invented yet. A much simpler time. He WAS one of the best. RIP.
There's a link in the description for Alexander's paints, I've used them since the 80's as a kid and while a little spendy, very worth it compared to other paints I've used.
His style was "sloppy" to an extent, but it really gave his paintings a rough, natural look to them. Pallette knife paintings always look a little rougher, too. I personally prefer his paintings that involved more brush work.
He WAS a great teacher! He got his wish for how he would be remembered. Thank you, Bill.
Bill is an amazing artist and teacher!!!

He's also a wonderful storyteller...as well as a master painter!
Genius absolutely genius why can’t the world be more like him?
I really enjoy his message about life, while he is teaching us to paint. Truly one of the Greats
Absolute best knife skills. Just amazing.
Love Bob Ross but boy, Bill is so energetic. He is the original

Truth is Bill Alexander was Bob Ross teacher.

I can’t afford the paints so I buy the cheap ones and put them in the freezer for a little while and it firms right up
You were a great painter and a good teacher wherever you are
Thanks again Bill a happy little pic in a happy little farm house. 😇
Hi there, all's well that begins and ends well. With Bill it's always that way.
Man I used to love watching reruns on PBS of this guy.

Thank you for all those uploads! :) Do you know if Bill liked the work of Albert Bierstadt, or if he was inspired by his work?

What's paints and brushes can I buy to paint like this?

Sorry for the spam.. but “ you’ll not have any nuts in your bloodstream” lol
Waaaaaaahhhh
Over smoke, over eat and too much magic white )
I hate to say this because he taught Bob Ross how to paint but he is sloppy
