I think generational talent is a reach. He was really good, but he wasn't there with a lot of guys he played against. I'd say he's basically if Hill acted like TO. If he doesn't get his lobotomized by berfict maybe he gets there. But he was just a really good receiver over a decent amount of time who fell off at the end because of injuries. I would have a hard time putting his total body of work above Diggs tbh, and I don't know anyone calling him a generational talent...
I dunno, Marvin Harrison and Chad Johnson could've easily been there for either Catching, Body Control, or Route Running in my books. Those dudes were SMOOTH. Chad's release was deadly.
@@Baker19911 you’re fucking insane. He’s 1.5 inches shorter and he’s quick as hell. Also no one had hands like Larry besides maybe dhop and jerry. So hands I can maybe give you but that’s it

Julio is like 80% of every category, I have a hard time saying he's the best at any of these. Stevie got the pick for "he changed the game" which is w.e But Julio wasn't the best at anything he was just really REALLY good at everything. Like the only place Fitz would fit is hands, otherwise he wasn't great at any of the others but he wasn't bad by any stretch. the one that got me was Welker. When you have Brady and Manning saying he's the greatest route runner they've ever seen...hard to argue. and Hill could have taken Percy's spot, but hey it's his list and his opinion so what can you do.
I love these videos, but I wish the highlights corresponded to what was being talked about, ie talking about AJ Green’s body control but not really showing any catches that demonstrated that
Schuab was not a noodle arm, albeit he didn’t have the strongest arm in the league during his years with the Texans. Johnson put up back to back 1500+ seasons in 08/09, then added another one in the 12 season. WTF are you talking about, no one got him the ball?
I think that’s his point… Andre was solid despite the lack of talent at the QB position… (everyone mentioned had a better QB. imagine what we could have done in their place.
Honestly I'm here for the long snapper content when y'all make it. No one ever talks about nuances of that position and it's such a crucial part of the game
Receiver has evolved so much over the years, stuff like route running is being taught at a younger age than it used to be. Also probably hundreds of thousands of hours of film you can study is readily available on the internet so you can learn how to run routes like the best. So naturally guys even that retired in 2006, only 16-17 years ago aren’t as refined as guys in the league in now or even in the mid 2010s.
Just wanted to add this about Percy Harvin: I'm glad he made this list. He was special in a unique way. Shame the injuries stopped a good potentially great nfl career.

route running you got the wrong Johnson. Chad Johnson is the one. I can see leaving Julio off because he's kinda in the mold of megatron just slightly smaller and slightly less dominant. Julio Jones for body control and route running personally. Watching cook defenders and make insane reaching catches contested was a thing of beauty from 2011-2020

I’ve never even heard of Stevie Johnson. I’m not so sure that the young WRs in the nfl that are my age or younger were watching Stevie Johnson growing up lol.
The video editor should do a better job of getting the clips to match the content. The clips just seemed to be showing how great these players were in general but it would have complemented Brett's commentary far better if they focused on examples of the skills being discussed. Still a great video but future videos in the series would benefit from more focus in my opinion.
No disrespect to Stevie Johnson but there are certainly guys that I would’ve chosen over him for route running… AB, Davante Adams, Chad Johnson & Justin Jefferson, just to name a few…

Antonio Brown body control was really good too

his blocking was elite too
