Salinas/Santa Cruz in the house on Rig Rundown. Love the Drain boys and we are all super proud of them. More people need to discover them. Glad you guys had them Perry.
his playing tickled my ear and i stopped the video and checked out their whole discography and i am now in love with this band ''Feel the pressure'' is fucking awesome
YESSS LEEWAY AND CRUMBSUCKERS!!! both sick asf crossover bands, I love Hogans Heroes and RKL as well. The new metallic hardcore is sick, Mindforce is another awesome band.
Cody's a true guitar player. Even though I'm not a "hard core" genre fan, I love when the players have no clue what model the pickups are. Most important to him, it sounds good.....that separates the real players from the rest. They know what they love and just go with it. Cheers
When I bought my guitar. I tried to avoid it, but the sales guy said, "Those Fishman Moderns are sick". Am I a poser now? I really want to be a real player! Should I have a shop swap them with something random, and have them not tell me what they are??
@@minnesodope I think you're missing my point. I may have not made it clear. I've seen numerous mega big time players being interviewed who know next to nothing about "particulars" of their rigs. No clue on pickups, speakers loaded in cabs, and some even don't know what brand of strings they use. I'm a gear nerd and a very average player at best. I can tell you literally every pickup, speaker, tube, string gauge, tuner, etc etc on all 65 of my guitars and 20 plus amps. I'm not saying you or anyone else is a poser. I love everything Fishman makes too. I guess I need to explain better next time i comment.
Awesome to see these dudes getting attention and also AWESOME to see the signal chain breakdown. Seems like it's much easier to do with the Tonemaster screen and touch functions.
Drain is the most entertaining, fun to see band on the planet right now. The only thing that bums me out is to see them have to use barricades. I'm stoked to see them getting so popular though! I lost a tooth at my first Drain show three years ago and they've been my favorite since.
see I was gonna buy a Jackson American Series Soloist, but unfortunately I only had X-Series money. So what I did was just bought the Neck-Through X-Series and put the locking tuners, Gotoh Trem 1996 Trem/Nut, Titanium Green Hardware, and the Seymour Duncan Black Winters. Even put a little Toolkit on the back of the headstock. The American-X Series.
I’m not much of a hardcore fan, but that was really cool and his attitude is awesome: Just plug that shit in and play it. Tone sounds killer and the Virtuoso is one of my favorite guitars I own too. It’s hard to beat either a JB/59 or an EMG 81/85 set. Both almost always sound 💪.

that fender modeler must be pretty simple to use! he doesn't seem like the kinda guy who likes to fuss over knobs and settings so that's saying alot that he's bought into it.
Why does that bother you? Tech generation scares me how much they want everyone to think, act, have the same concerns and interests they do…not to mention how much they need to let everyone know what offends them and then damn or get offended by all those that don’t think the same… does the fact that he doesn’t know exactly what pickups are in his guitar make him any less of a player? Some players don’t worry as much about the tech side of things, and some do. Personally, I listen to all sorts of music, and I like the fact that I can listen to different types of players, all with different approaches. Some are more technically advanced, some are just good songwriters. We are in a good age for guitar players. Compared with the 80s and 90s, I feel like there’s more unity in rock and roll and all the sub genres it has spawned than ever before, which is great for the fans. In the early 90s, it seemed like everything was so segregated as far as the artists were concerned. Generally speaking, fans of one type didn’t like fans of another type. Now, you see bands forming with members from different eras and sub genres.😊😊 Personally, I love it. 17:53

Hogan’s Heroes!
What a great rundown. Very positive, professional and positive interview. The's so much good energy in here.
Perry thank you for my homework today : flat 5th frigian mode learning lol

I'm super curious about the gear used on the "Living Proof" record... and even on the mic placement, that tone is pure gold

Can you feel the fucking PRESSURE?!!!
SO sick.
Perry like to interview himself. All hopped up on Red Bull and Sweet Tarts.
YES
Slapping some chorus in the rythm tone is such a good idea. Makes the sound wider and punchy? Whatever it does it works.

The American-X Series.
The Gotoh hardware is from Japan so I’d say the Japa-merican X series 😂
Drain hell yeah
