I just realised… this is the best marketing I’ve seen in my entire life. This is a comfort series for me and it always makes me want to get back into magic.
Aidan Dao I honestly don't see what the big deal is about banding. It was a cool concept, it wasn't as complicated as people make it out to be, and it had some really good combos that I really miss if only for flavor reasons (blocking with Wall of Glare and a bunch of smaller creatures with banding to protect them and still have them deal their damage made a lot of sense in-universe). Is it a joke that's supposed to be an exaggeration, or have I been missing something?
I still think abilities should be: Flunge: Whenever you attack with all creatures, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature. This creature may block while tapped as long as it has one or more +1/+1 counters on it. Inpoopulate: When a creature with Inpoopulate dies, create a red-green 0/1 poop creature token, it has "whenever a creature is blocked by this creature, that creature does not untap during that opponent's next untap step" Trombopoline: At the beginning of each of your end steps, if this creature does not posess flying, it gains flying, if it posesses flying, it loses flying. Wivelink: Whenever this creature deals combat damage, create a X/X creature token of this creature's colors where X is the amount of damage dealt, then band that creature to this creature. Islandflock: Whenever this creature attacks, create X creature tokens that are copies of this creature tapped and attacking the same player, where X is the number of islands defending player controls. Exile those tokens at the beginning of the next end step. Corpsebreathing: Exile a creature card from your graveyard: This creature gains +X/+0 until end of turn where X is the exiled creature's power. Sadness: This creature does not untap during your next untap step, if another creature you control died last turn. Mentalcraft: Either needs three Wizards, or you having at least three cards in hand. chunnel: Whenever this creature would become blocked by a creature, you may pay X life where X is the potential blocker's CMC, if you do, that creature cannot block this creature this turn. Cannot be blocked by blue creatures.
"When this creature attacks, exile it, then return it to the battlefield." That sounds pretty good. If you've got some ETB enchants or artifacts, a blink attack ability would be nice.

And LRR also wishes they could make more Friday Nights, but they're trying to be safe and responsible too. Meanwhile they did a couple Sick Rips (Magic-themed Crapshots) for their pre-preleases last year?
This episode clearly has the keyword Punulate: when you watch this episode, you notice a new pun that you didn't notice last time. Also, Missy is really working that triple-belt look. Damn.
DivineChronometer Those glasses seem very Chandra and Jaya Ballard to me. Have you seen the spoiler of the 5 mana artifact goggles? it taps for a single red and if you use that red to play a red instant or sorcery, you twin cast that spell. It references Jaya and Chandra.
Paul Gaither the goggles are chandra goggles, LRR was giving them away at a con, however im pretty sure she wasnt going for chandra or jaya because, for the most part, those 2 are not villians
But Kaitlyn played Doomsday (which exiles all but 5 cards) after that girl stole her draw 10, so preventing her from drawing cards didn't actually slow down her mill
Kathleen totally screwed up how "My genius knows no bounds". 1) you don't have to choose the amount till it resolves so by the time you declare that you're choosing 10, it's too late to respond with notion thief. 2) even if we say she was playing too fast and that she locked in her decision, any action declared to be before said decision would be made is grounds for the controller to change her mind. Casting notion thief would just mean choosing to pay 0 instead.

My Idea for Trombopoline: At the beginning of your upkeep, i there are no bounce counters on this creature put a bounce counter on it. Otherwise remove all bounce counters from it. As long as there is a bounce counter on this creature it has flying. If there are no bounce counters on it it has trample.
Being a spike isn't about being competitive! It's about *winning*! XD There also wasn't a 3/3 with trample in Origins, but considering one of the other cards had a mechanic called "Texmex".... Yeeeeah
I've also won a Conspiracy draft with a U/B control deck that was playing Reya Dawnbringer and Pelakka Wurm thanks to multiple Extract from Darkness and a red splash for Grenzo, Dungeon Warden. It was the sweetest. We never drafted Conspiracy again.

Activating Forgemaster with Azorius Guildmage on the field, bad. Not putting Laboratory Manic as the top card of the Doomsday pile(with something like pact of negation backup). Doomsday is always a super risky plan, something you wouln't put in a AE deck anyway, since the format is so slow. Drawing 10 from the scheme and tapping out when your opponent is playing a U/B casual deck! That notion thief would have been obvious. Love the vids, thanks for putting those mistakes in there.
Yeah, i guess there weren't realy that many misplays. Dreamcrushing happens when you are so sure you are going to win that you mess up. I was quite confused with this "Im so spike, look at my flavorful minions" -thing. Which one is it? Flavor or Spikyness?
that's true except the player could not have flashed in notion thief at the right time to draw the cards. Of course I am asuming that paying the mana is part of the resolution of the ability meaning that once mana has payed been you draw before anyone could respond. Just realised the sorcery that can be cast from Exile would be great in a storm deck just to add to the storm count. As long as you have a way to exile it like an underworld breech deck. Where you can actually take turn exiling other copies of the card to cast them.

There's a lot of triggers here that i could use. Exile and return to battlefield to trigger Boltwing Marauder and impact tremors and so on. I think Paul needs to recheck his algorithm, seems too useful.

The {R} Sorcery you may cast this fom exile could conceivably go in storm. Combos with Past in Flames to get you to be able to storm off.
