I have been thrilled with the ACO Easy Fry food.... Fry, shrimp, snails, plants, and water quality all seem to be benefitting. Microfauna (daphnia, copepods, scuds, etc) have also done well....
I'm sold! This will be the next "makeweight" item in my next order. Dean could probably sell me a ketchup popsicle in August if I were wearing white gloves. 😂
I literally just fed my fish (neon tetra, guppies and guppy fry) this food and this video pops up! I just got it a week ago and it’s the most convenient both my adult fish and fry loves them! Best food purchase hands down
Been following Acq for many many years. This is a solid product. I’ve noticed a Trend over the years where they push a product hard, hikari fish bites then wains off. I’m a fan of the easy fry food, the extreme line but there have been some bombs like the nano air pumps. Can’t complain about this food though. really like most of the acq product lines
My juvenile apisto would not eat crushed flakes, crushed extreme, nothing until I tried this. It is amazing for young fish; especially in still tanks where there is time for it to slowly filter down. In faster moving tanks (like if you have a canister or powerful HOB) it can just get swatted down to the floor though! I do wish it came in smaller sizes because there's no way I can go through a tube in a month, but Cory has ranted about the cost of additional sizes before!
I use the fry food every day. Great for shrimp as it scatters so well. I have a colony of least killifish so there are always fish from fry to adults. They chow it down. With the fry food and some crumbled flake they are thriving. Takes me a while to get through a bottle though.
Good news for you. April's Aquarium ships it in Canada ;) yourlocalfishstore.com/products/aquarium-co-op-easy-fry-small-fish-food?variant=48455529201982
@@AquariumCoop I went through your link to April's Aquarium and bought the squeeze bottle plus the 1 lb. refill plus some other things. My [currently] 27 guppy babies will be the fattest in the land ;-) Thank you again!!!
I have a 125 gallon neocarodina shrimp tank and this is the perfect food, it spreads well so shrimp can find it no matter where they are in the tank, the particle size varies so it works for all sized shrimp and maybe best of all, the snails can't pile up on it and hog it all! This is the perfect food👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@MWilk098 No, actually I don't. It's a beautiful, heavily planted, Walstad, no filter, no maintenance tank, the shrimp and the snails take good care of it for me. I'm afraid if I put any fish in there it might upset the ballance and cause me to have to maintain it. It's about 4 years old and before that it was the home to 1 betta all by itself. One betta in a 125 gal planted tank is a beautiful thing! I have to keep my freshwater tanks simple and easy because I also have a reef tank, it's QUITE A BIT of work!!! 😄
@@MWilk098 OMG, I can't even guess, lots and lots of all ages, still quite a few with color but also many have gone to wild color. They do seem to regulate their numbers though, it's not like huge clouds of shrimp. 😁
I bought this about two years ago, at a time where I was thinking I might do some breeding. it never happened. I forgot about it until I got ember tetras who wouldn’t eat anything, so I reached for the easy fry and they gobbled it up. Then I thought, all my Nana fish might like this and of course they do. My question is, is it still good after two years? It hadn’t really been used. I’m not far from uncle Ned’s, who I just found out is a co-op seller so maybe I’ll just go get a new bottle? 😂
We don't keep it refrigerated. Official shelf life is 2 years. But I'd always recommend using it up sooner rather than later as each time you open and feed it, it'll expose it to oxygen.
You might be a squeezer , or someone that's a shaker but don't let your feeding techniques get in the way because we all know they're crazy for Nick's Bug Buffet . ORDER YOURS TODAY 🇦🇺🚚✈️🇺🇸
@AquariumCoop If you aren't going to sell products overseas you should geo-block your videos so we don't have to suffer the advertising bs. Or should we just report the channel for spam?
I'm in the US and get advertising from German aquarium products I can't get in the states. Products I wouldn't know about otherwise. I'm not getting mad at learning about other options that are available only in Japan, or only in Germany/UK (now minus Britain), or only available in the Philippines. Some things I have been able to get my LFS to import, and we couldn't have done that with our videos on RUclips letting me know they exist. Other things I have to find a local alternative. Personally, watching Dean and Cory is like being back home in WA, hanging out with fellow aquarists talking shop. Listening to them just makes me happy. There are other creators who just spread doom and gloom, and I choose to scroll by those. Why threaten to make someone's channel have issues, when instead you can scroll by? Have you asked your local suppliers to try and carry ACO products? Are you just having a bad day?(If you are having a bad day, I'm sorry. Wish I were closer, I'd invite you out for coffee). Thanks to the ACO channel, I've made friends around the globe who share my love of aquatic ecosystems. No other channel or FB group has generated a global connection for me to find other breeders, or source impossible to find plants, and share notes like Reverse Respiration (or get some shrimp food shipped to me from Germany). As the song says, "don't worry, be happy"
@@Lazy_Fish_Keeper Obviously, you needed to write a treatise in opposition to my post. Might I suggest that they need to start exporting the products, particularly if they aren't prohibited imports. Cory did mention "Bug Bites" from Keepingfishsimple (Australian YT Channel and Aquarium shop owner) perhaps they could collaborate on certain products both ways. Perhaps you could also think outside of your box as well @Lazy_Fish_Keeper

Dean, my brother from another mother. Good to see you.
Sharing good products and showing how they work is a service. Thank you!
I use the old bottles for the nano pellet in my 75g. Works great.
I just bought some of this and my Chili Rasboros love this. So not just fry food.
Wish my room looked like Deans'. Mine looks more like Michael's Fish Room

Aways get excited to see Dean
I like that you offer refills!
Thank you for the video and advice . I live abroad and very looking forward to use your products when you can deliver internationally.
Great fry food! I love it and feed it at the store daily! 😁👍🐟
Very good timing! I was just researching what would be the best food for my new Rasboras.❤
I just ordered my 1lb refill my fish love it
I look forward to when you might ship your fry food to Canada. Love your videos, thank you for all you do for the fishkeeping hobby 🙂

Fish food goes rancid after a while, like all food does. Your fish will love a fresh new bottle even more 👍
I love this stuff
Would the Easy Fry food work to feed a Daphnia Culture?
Cory can you get a hold of five spot jewel cichlids for me five star generals.
What's the shelf life of a bottle? Do you keep it refrigerated?
We don't keep it refrigerated. Official shelf life is 2 years. But I'd always recommend using it up sooner rather than later as each time you open and feed it, it'll expose it to oxygen.
Lovely
DEAN!!!
How come you have no substrate in your tanks?
I think it looks better without substrate suppose it makes make cleaning easier/quicker
He’s a breeder so constantly swapping out fish and baby fish from tank to tank. Makes it much easier to clean the tanks with no substrate
alright, alright, alright!
All I feed now
everything eats it
Including the clown pleco
Hey buddy if I buy the one pound I'll still get a bottle right?
Think the 1lb is for refills
