I'm more afraid they're going to hurt themselves but I busted up laughing watching some of these jumps. I just can't believe these boats are so resilient.
Dude I honestly thought the thumbnail was just clickbait nonsense, THAT JUMP WAS AWESOME!!! I seriously need to come visit, kiwi's have way too much fun lol.
Great video!. That first jump was gnarly!. He damn near subbed it on reentry. Did he wrinkle the starboard side aft gunwale area jumping it like that? I thought I might have seen something in the video. ..but hot damn! That looks like fun.
You guys really need to add a little head saver bar to your boats. The low hanging stuff could really ruin your fun! One of my dads old acquaintances almost beheaded himself when he drove through some wire fencing someone had discarded.
I am envious of you both then. I've never come across narrow, deep-water waterways in the States. Plenty of shallow ones with either mud bottoms or loose shale to to suck up into the intake though!
lol I thought the picture title was photo shop awesome there like atvs on water HUGE THUMBS UP any links you might recommend and what the cost? your reply would be sincerely appreciated thanks
Is it wrong to have hoped the wake from the speeding boat at 0:27 would propel one of those floating branches through the side (and maybe the leg of someone in) the POV boat?
how much does one of these set you back as a kit? would love to go up and down the manawatu river lol start at the manawatu gorge and go all the way to foxton beach
do these use an open loop cooling system ?? if so has anyone ever made a selective valve that would use the engines open loop cooling system to suck water out of the hull in instances were you get water in the boat. it would function as a bilge pump only when needed while adding minimum weight? I know its possible but curious of potential issues and functionality.
Dalton Michaels+ It would be easier just to run separate bilge system, whole system weighs about 12oz so it's lite, runs off 12volts produced by engine.
Dalton Michaels I think a simple auto bailer system would work on these. An auto bailer in essence uses the motion of the water coming out of the jet nozzle to "vacuum" the water in the hull out through a tube. The system has a check valve so water will not backflow into the hull. Simple, requires no wiring. thumbs4.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/msDtC8e64lErzw9K2eyMOnw.jpg
thanks guys , i was mostly curious because i watched another video of one of these ( or similar one i dont know the brand or set up) sink when it turned 90 degrees to the river flow and water was coming over a rock and into the boat. this was a very particular situation and not likely to repeat but still a real issue if no bilge pump is present. and then of coarse because of the remote lactation they had to have a helicopter air lift the boat from the bottom of the river.
Hi could you give me a tip, what do you use to protect the hull or bottom of the jet boat, because I have a jet ski and where I sail here there are many stones I wanted a tip to protect the hull of my jet ski, I'm from Brazil .
i have never been into boats until watching this !

I'm more afraid they're going to hurt themselves but I busted up laughing watching some of these jumps. I just can't believe these boats are so resilient.

It's ALL good.
nice boat! have you done a video on the fabrication? what engine and jet? chances of salvaged jet ski engine?
You guys really need to add a little head saver bar to your boats. The low hanging stuff could really ruin your fun! One of my dads old acquaintances almost beheaded himself when he drove through some wire fencing someone had discarded.
Hahaha awesome. Those boats can take a beating! Man some of those sections of river looked really fishy. Have yall ever fished back there?
John Pinney yup bow fishing mate koi carp
Cool vid dudes .. Trickier with a 6mtr Tunnel Hull lol ..
cool
INSANE! Truly envious of those NZ waterways. Nothing like that in the States.
i guess you haven't been to Oregon
I do this shit in Idaho too.
I am envious of you both then. I've never come across narrow, deep-water waterways in the States. Plenty of shallow ones with either mud bottoms or loose shale to to suck up into the intake though!
Northern California , Oregon , Washington , and assuming by the comment above Idaho have tons of water way like this. not to mention Alaska.
Dalton Michaels true that there's plenty of them on the west coast
Way, way, way to much fun
Dukes of hazard kiwi style👍
great video any chance you have plans for the hull construction and would be willing to share

any links you might recommend and what the cost?
your reply would be sincerely appreciated thanks
Ya
whats a guess on how cheap the total could be on building one of these boats. motor and all
loco demais kkkkk ahod verde isso
May I ask where you bought the jetboat from please? Or was it made from plans?
i think thomas hewitt sells kits to make them
Both boats are home made from a hull by jetlj , check out his videos on you tube
feeking awsome lucky bastards .tha river did look fishy?
I need the designs.
👏👏😂👍👌🇳🇴
Is it wrong to have hoped the wake from the speeding boat at 0:27 would propel one of those floating branches through the side (and maybe the leg of someone in) the POV boat?
docthebiker Yes.
How about just the side of the boat then?
Sweet boats! Song?
Kiwi band called Shihad, Home again, is the song
LOAFofNAM Thanks!
I know you're using jetski power & pumps...what displacement ? How much power are these hulls capable of handling ?
No idea sorry, just built it to a supplied kit
where can I get a boat or plan to build these , man they look really fun for me an my son's . Bill
awesome! you fuckers rock!
how much does one of these set you back as a kit?
would love to go up and down the manawatu river lol
start at the manawatu gorge and go all the way to foxton beach
try this ruclips.net/video/ZBlJSNHj47c/видео.html
Where are yah @ 1.59?Those turned boats and bin?

out having fun.! looks magic. haven't heard that song for ages!

the jetski motor and pump create a venturi and do act as a permanent bilge but we also run a manual bilge pump for the bigger amounts of water

An auto bailer in essence uses the motion of the water coming out of the jet nozzle to "vacuum" the water in the hull out through a tube.
