Hi Jennifer. Thankyou for this suoer cute daisy granny. Just what I was looking for im making a large afgan at the moment and the squares are 12 x 12 inches. How would I extend the daisy in the middle so isn't too small for that size. Im quite a new crochet nut but love you tutorials and thankyou in advance. SUSAN

Hi Susan! thank you for the message. :) you can make the flower larger by working 3 rounds in the yellow.
To work a third round CH3 after you worked a SS to finish round 2. Into the next stitch work 2DC. Then continue alternating 1DC into the next stitch and 2DC into the next. You will end up with a total of 36DC at the end of round 3.
Now you can start the row of petals the same way shown in the video. You will end up with 18 petals instead of 12.
Finally to start the Granny square part, follow the starting instructions in the video for round 4. Work 6 clusters of 3DC (instead of the 4 in the video) after you have 6 clusters, CH2 and work 3DC into the same space (your first full corner.)
Heres where it gets a little tricky. There are not enough petals to evenly work a square, so we are going to modify the pattern a bit so that it will be even.
work 3DC into the next space, now work 3DC into each stitch ontop of the next 2 petals. (this will give you the correct number of clusters for this side.) Next work 3DC into the next 2 spaces. You are now at a corner, CH2 + 3DC into the same space.
Work 3DC into each of the next 5 spaces, work your corner.
For the final side you will work the same way as the "tricky" side. 3DC into next space, then 3DC into the tops of the next 2 petals, then 3DC into next space and then to finish this round 3DC into the beginning space with a CH2 and SS to the top of beginning CH3.
Now you can work as many rounds as you'd like following the original pattern until you reach the desired size for the block.
I know this is a lot of info. If you still need help send me an email and I will happily send you a video to show you how to work the pattern above. jenoelle.hb@gmail.com
Thanks again for following my tutorial I'm happy that it is what you were looking for! I am so happy to help in any way that I can xoxo

Do you have a pattern for the other square in the blanket at the beginning? I love the smiley faces! So cute.

Hi Chelsea Thank you... & yes I do! Here is the tutorial I have for it ruclips.net/video/FSYHXDqBlDA/видео.html ( You can also find this video on my channel under videos) The colors are different, but it is the same technique that I used for this blanket. Please let me know if you need anything else! Happy crocheting!
