There's a reason me and other people weren't willing to give Whitaker a chance and the bad writing is my reason way before I ever heard her name. The show was just dead. Imagine the doctor being a racist.
The 50th anniversary was a good ending to the entire franchise, and if you are a fan of only the classical era of Doctor Who then the Seventh Doctor and Ace "walking into the sunset" moment implying that the adventure continues right after the show is no longer on screen is also the perfect ending to the franchise. The Doctor had a good run, let him rest.
>The 50th anniversary was a good ending to the entire franchise It really wasn't. Apart from the instant introduction of a whole new Doctor out of nowhere... I remember the scene where Tennant and Smith are bouncing around like stupid idiots who ought to be bounced into space asking what the "round things" in the walls are for and the other says he doesn't know. And Tennant, who claims he was a fan of the Fifth Doctor's era and married the daughter of the guy who played the Fifth Doctor, where we saw very clearly what the "round things" were for, allowed these stupid lines to be spoken on screen. And I just want Moffat and Tennant and Smith and Davies and the show ended. It doesn't matter that I've been watching and reading since 1978, there's nothing good left here. Now it's nothing but lies and horrors.
Stop acting like the TV show is the only aspect of the franchise that matters. The audio adventures are still going strong and are typically better than the TV show, even when it was good. Support a GOOD aspect of the franchise for a change.
@@thegaurdianchild5571 Everything that happens in the show branches out into the other media. Other than a bare passing reference, the other media don't impact on the show (there's one exception: when Steven Moffat stole from the books of the 90s and 2000s for, say, the "Human Nature" episode). The way the show goes - currently, into hell - affects how everything else goes.
...Which is why the most recent audios are still receiving overwhelming praise from fans who've given up on the show. Honestly, have you listened to the most recent releases of the Eleventh Doctor Chronicles? Or Christopher Eccelston's Ninth Doctor adventures(Yes, it's really him)? Some of them are better than any of their actual tv episodes. The audios have a much larger variety of writers, most of whom are actual fans who care about the franchise instead of the corporates who run the tv show. Also, wtf do you mean Human Nature/Family of Blood is the only example!? Dalek was an adaptation of a popular audio story, The Haunting of Villa Diodati was a loose adaptation of TWO popular audio stories, THE STAR BEAST WAS MARKETED AS AN ADAPTATION OF A POPULAR COMIC STORY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Anyway, the audios will likely continue on even if the show gets cancelled because that's what happened before and it worked out.
Now I'll devil's advocate with Horrible Histories by saying it's not quite blackwashing history but rather shining a spotlight on historical figures that not many people may have heard about.
i hate that modern media is changing history now. replacing every white historical figure with a different race. Had Issac newton been any other race they wouldn't have race swapped. Even in broadway they made King Richard the third a black trans woman. and on Netflix they made Celopatra black. its so frustrating and offensive to geology and history.
Oddly enpugh, English Isaac Newton turns Indian, but John Logie Baird in the Giggle was still white Scottish. His assistant, however, was race-swapped. This is RTD's racist white Celtic agenda.
3:18 While he's certainly more into the ladies when portrayed by Tennant, Christopher Eccleston's Doctor definitely swung both ways at the very least. I think he mentions it once in passing but he also accepts a kiss goodbye from Captain Jack Harkness (also bi) in his finale. Easy to forget since it was written in 2005 and wasn't pandering nonsense like modern day "representation" but the Doctor at least _was_ bi-sexual in the initial revival series from 2005.
Was that kiss from Jack supposed to turn The Doctor on, or was he just not bothered by it because his version of the Doctor saw himself as above sexual desire? I don’t think accepting the kiss means that he’s bi. I took it as The Doctor knows this guy is a slut and shrugged it off as an odd custom that Jack practices.
I get that the Isaac Newton bit at the start was a bit shameful, but this was actually the best written episode of the specials in my opinion. I was actually on the edge of my seat again like the old days, it was a very tight-knit story and the Doctor and Donna being themselves and actually freaky uncanny valley villains was fun to watch. Maybe my standards are lower than they used to be but it felt like some of Russell’s better writing got to shine through here
About the only time they ever got the race swap thing right, is when they had Tony Curran _correctly_ portray Vincent van Gogh as Glaswegian, contrary to what the history books would have you believe, the legendary artist wasn't Dutch at all & in fact grew up on port Glasgow in Scotland.
I think the bait and switch reality we are trapped into must be destroyed ! I truly hate this brining back characters that have a beautiful history of heart and being used to make us bleed out and be filled by the gray liquids of a dead modernity ! It Is Time For A Full Scale Rebellion.
I’m indifferent about the race swap but RTD is a total hypocrite for many reasons, he doesn’t believe straight actors should play gay characters and “cis” actors definitely shouldn’t be playing trans
Except he made Tenant Doctor's bicurious, so he can claim rectroactive representation credit. Like JK Rowling for Dumbledore. And Yasmin Finney who played Rose isn't non bineary. But consisntency dosen't matter to this people. Just the fact that is in it, and to provoke men. Witch somehow fine, bc there are more bad men than women so when they are doing the thing that claimed to be shitty is fine or something. I donno.

1:35 It wasn't quite that moment that killed the show for me but that entire season with Capaldi was like that non stop. It was so high off it's own gas. There's a reason me and other people weren't willing to give Whitaker a chance and the bad writing is my reason way before I ever heard her name. The show was just dead. Imagine the doctor being a racist.
Why do they never blackwash the guys from WW2??🤔
The brown Issac Newton got me
The 50th anniversary was a good ending to the entire franchise, and if you are a fan of only the classical era of Doctor Who then the Seventh Doctor and Ace "walking into the sunset" moment implying that the adventure continues right after the show is no longer on screen is also the perfect ending to the franchise.
The Doctor had a good run, let him rest.
>The 50th anniversary was a good ending to the entire franchise
It really wasn't.
@@troffle Well, then like I said the original classic Doctor Who ending is a perfect ending.
Kill your television is a great neds atomic dustbin song I took to heart
2:35 that greenscreen
Reaper is Awsome haha 3:02 , 3:13 call BBC out for the BS
Wilf was meant to be in the third one. That's when Cribbins died.
Now I'll devil's advocate with Horrible Histories by saying it's not quite blackwashing history but rather shining a spotlight on historical figures that not many people may have heard about.
Less cannon than Pakistani dalik
It's Dr. Who .... but that woman has as much airtime as he does.
Isaac Newton! :O You cant let them Reaper! This a war of annihilation! Please! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Do a review on Turning Red.
Also you sound more tired tired than usual.
04:58 he died so he couldn't film the rest of his scenes...
i hate that modern media is changing history now. replacing every white historical figure with a different race. Had Issac newton been any other race they wouldn't have race swapped. Even in broadway they made King Richard the third a black trans woman. and on Netflix they made Celopatra black. its so frustrating and offensive to geology and history.
And people wonder why we gatekeep leftists out of warhammer 40k so hard. This, this is why.
i mean it's the year 2024 and the fact that the bbc hasn't rebranded itself is proof enough that they love their acronym name thoroughly 🤣
Dr Who ripped my face off and sold it for drinking money. But very cheap.
Oddly enpugh, English Isaac Newton turns Indian, but John Logie Baird in the Giggle was still white Scottish. His assistant, however, was race-swapped. This is RTD's racist white Celtic agenda.
I don't care what they tell you in school, Isaac Newton was black.
Sherman: I have a hard time believing that!
Mr. Peabody: THANK YOU!
I'm glad I've never been a big Doctor Who fan and that I dropped out after season 9 before it went super woke
The worst thing is, I'm so gullible I actually had to Google VVG to make sure that wasn't true.
Doctor who is soooooo bad it’s almost unbelievable. It’s hell to watch.
I think the bait and switch reality we are trapped into must be destroyed !
I truly hate this brining back characters that have a beautiful history of heart and being used to make us bleed out and be filled by the gray liquids of a dead modernity !
It Is Time For A Full Scale Rebellion.
AY UP REAPER
I dont care what they tell you in School. Sir Isaac Newton was black..
Should've used that ole badass Clarence Bodiker alot fuckin more l😁✌️🍻🤣
Something told me a new ep was coming out today
I donno.
@@katokianimation Well, no one is non-binary, that isn't a thing, so no problem there.
‘Doctor who wild blue yonder’ is a confusing sentence 😄
Where does that last quote ("Its a POS") come from?
How’s the One Piece video coming along. :)
