    You have really done an awesome job there! Well done!

      Thanks Deano! I appreciate the support mate! I’ll keep getting videos out on the build :)

    Grab yourself a Dragy device, very useful for self-checking performance information.
    Prepped surface and better tire brand, running lower pressures, you'll have a lot more traction.

    • @Whatton_moto
      @Whatton_moto  Год назад +1

      Hey, thank you for the advice. The dragy device is interesting, just has a little look, something I may get for the drag videos I want to do so thank you for that!
      I would love a better surface, I’ll run lower comp next time as I’m changing rear sprocket soon to see if it makes a difference, no doubt make me lose traction but coupled with lower comp hopefully it works. Thanks again 🫶

      @@Whatton_moto I've seen drag racers using the Dunlop Dragmax tires, or Shinko Hookup-Pro or Hookup-Drag tires. Probably overkill for what you're looking for.
      Yeah the Dragy GPS device records all the telemetry data via a phone app.

    Maybe you should do some top speed testing comparing stock to 4lbs of boost to 9lbs. Have you changed the chain sprockets to get longer gear ratios or did you just leave them stock? You could probably increase the top speed a lot since the motor could handle way longer gear ratios with the 120 / 110 bhp now.
    Edit: a 0 - 100mph or 60 - 100mph test would also be great!

      Hey mate thank you for the comment and interest. I have exactly this planned, waiting for the weather to pick up a little but I have a mate with a factory 07 , OEM exhaust and no tune
      Once the weather improves we’re getting on the air field and comparing some real world results between to the two :)
      No sprocket changes on my end just yet with the build, I reckon top speed won’t be much improved but more so just have quickly it gets there to those speeds. Couple of drag runs also planned this year so that should be fun to film

    can you give a rough estimate of total cost for this build?
    maybe a rough breakdown of everything you had to pay for, e.g.
    1. bike cost
    2. turbo parts
    3. internal parts (pistons, crank etc)
    4. dyno tuning
    etc
    i know it can vary greatly, but i'm curious what you spent specifically. if you're short for ideas and have the time, would love to see it in video format rather than a comment.

      @Whatton_moto  Год назад +3

      Hey again mate, definitely on the cards for a video. Our weather is terrible in the uk at the moment so just waiting to get a nice day to setup and go through it all on a video
      I’ll get it up on channel soon . Thanks for the interest mate, much appreciated. If theirs anything else you wanna see let me know and I’ll do what I can 👌🙏

    Taller gearing would help so you can wind out second gear and not waste time shifting into 3rd and a quick shifter would help your times as well

      Thanks mate, I appreciate the advice. I’ve been back and forth between adding more torque with a bigger rear or longer gearing with shorter. I’m edging more towards adding more torque just for the pure joy 🫶

    Hey mate, awesome video, have you ever thought of installing an AR Asssitant? Heard you could install TC, AW, and even Launch control with it.
    I really don't know how it will behave with the turbo tbh 😂

    • @Whatton_moto
      @Whatton_moto  Год назад +2

      Hey mate, really good idea. I have thought about this previously but I think I’ll definitely have to go this route at some point
      Maybe when I put a dyno video together I’ll explore this route at the same time, save some pennies 😂
      I reckon it would definitely help though!

      Haha exactly that! Unfortunately I’ve been a little busy and the weather hasn’t helped… no excuses! Once we get some good dry weather again I’ll get the video done… working on getting a side by side comparison against an 07 with factory exhaust and tune 👌

    Hey body! It's nice project. Can you give dimensions of the turbo? Did you change anything at the fuel system?

    • @Whatton_moto
      @Whatton_moto  Год назад

      Hi mate, thanks for the question. Unfortunately I don’t know the dimensions myself, you might be able to find the information on extreme creations website who builds the turbo kit
      Fuel system has an improved fuel regulator

    You ever try top speed (gps) or use for long trip! i really like Turbo system form Extreme Creation, but i wonder about maintenance or break engine on long trip. Thank you so much!

    • @Whatton_moto
      @Whatton_moto  Год назад

      I haven’t yet but I’ll be trying one when I get on the drag strip! Maintenance is basically the same but you just have to keep on top of it more often, would it help to see a video on oil and coolant change?
      Long trips are fine, as long as you keep the maintenance up, use good fuel and don’t take the bike to its limit all the time it should run fine :)
      Thanks for subscribing and the interest mate. Another video will be up shortly 🙌

      @@Whatton_moto your biket set up come with oem con rod and piston or aftermarket? i have R1M, but i really love my MT7, all so great, excellent on city, but when touring with my wife, 70 rwhp not enough. My bike set up with MIVV full system, racetech airbox, ecu reflash.
      I want build NA engine with piston compression 13:1 and carillo rod, but i cant find performance camshaft for MT7. That why i want build Turbo form Extreme, but i so wonder about maintenance.
      You can support me some performance camshaft for MT7. Thank you so much!

    • @Whatton_moto
      @Whatton_moto  Год назад

      @@VincentNguyen-gk4or it’s all built up with Conrods and pistons, the oem engine isn’t the strongest in my opinion.
      If you want to go touring I would trade your 07 in and go for the 09 as the turbo won’t increase the road touring speed, you want something that’s going to sit more comfortable at highway / motorway speeds compared to mt07 , especially if you have someone sat on the back
      13:1 compression you’d have to worry about running premium fuel or 97 octane at the least. When touring that may cause you an absolute pain looking for places with the correct fuel
      Thanks for the interest 🙏 definitely upgrade though for touring with someone on the back. Putting a turbo on the bike won’t make it sit on the road anymore comfortable at speeds required for long touring :)
      Hope this helps mate
