The OST to Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers for the Nintendo Entertainment System, updated into a new "8BS Mixed" format with less echo/reverb and to sound more clear and crisp than ever before, while also providing on screen information to respective composers, arrangers, sound programmers and developers. These mixes also do not represent the original versions, these tracks are based from original NSF rips, and are not recordings from an actual NES/Famicom, check below for the original OST in NSFe format! So, welcome to Niko's 8BitStereo! Enjoy the music and share!

We're coming at you again with a cool new Revamp OST, welcome to Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers! One of the many Disney Capcom NES releases beloved by many, this game is a fun solo and even better co-op experience game, that incorporates tight controls, lots of fun, challenge, colorful and fun sized environments that really make you feel like you're a small character in a big place! But it's Harumi Fujita's soundtrack that really sets this game up to be memorable, all the music fits perfectly to the Chip 'n Dale mood, lots of catchy and upbeat songs to keep you going and maybe even do a little dance to! Yoshihiro's Sakaguchi's sound driver as usual continues to be used very well in Capcom's golden era on the NES, Harumi always knew how to get those nice high pitches out of this soundchip!
Doing my best to keep up with uploads, life is having its ups and downs but I am doing my best taking care of myself and working on 8BS and uploading when I can, and trying to make sure and get uploads out a bit more so I can be sure those supporting on my Patreon get thanks in the end portion of these videos, if you'd like to support and have your name featured you can do so here, thanks everyone! www.patreon.com/nikotengoku
I appreciate the work you put into these.
Try listen on speed 0.65- 0.75 on any nes beat with you’re mix
I have followed your channel since 2013. 👏👏👏
This game marked the beginning of Capcom's second NES sound engine, which they used until Mega Man 6 in 1993.
Megaman 6 was the curtain call for the NES. 😥
I'd be curious to hear more about game companies' sound engines: obviously they couldn't program everything from scratch for each game, so that common set of functions would be interesting to hear about.
@@jorymil Same. I wanna know more about them.
What about it was new/ different from the other capcom games? I always felt it had better quality But didn't know exactly how
@@joshuastephenward5316the main thing i notice is that there are actual volume envelopes, which can be heard in most of their later games, but not much prior to this outsixe of drums
The music in Zone J has always been one of my personal favourites on the NES.
It's pretty dang good, Harumi is a very underappreciated composer of the Capcom sound team!
One of the favorite games for the gameplay and soundtrack.
And it's still loved and played for a reason!
Such a great soundtrack. Brings back so many great memories. "Zone D" is a particular favorite of mine.
Glad to bring back so many memories for people, each Zone track is special to someone! :)
Capcom was pumping out the HITS in the 90s!! This game, Mega Man, Little Nemo, to name a few. And they're still in my head to this day!!
Zone J brings back memories of being about 8 years old and playing through the game just to hear the final stage's music. I would pause the game and just sit there for a while enjoying the music. I also remember wishing the cartoon would use that stage's music on the show. Fun times!
One of my favorite VGM soundtracks in the NES era.
I appreciate that you have all the songs play through twice, instead of having every track last a standard 3 minutes. That way some of the more jarring power up tracks don’t go on and on and on.
I make sure for regular track that it gets enough loops and feels decently lengthy, don't want them too short but not just all standardize to a certain length. And of course short loops are just enough to enjoy it but doesn't overstay its welcome :P
You are doing fantastic job, Niko. Absolutely remarkable game and the music which accompanies it :). Oh, those days :) I have my Raspberry PI for nostalgic moments like this :)
You're most welcome, I enjoy doing these and hope to keep up more uploads! :)
I've been watching c and d on d plus to relive my happiest childhood memories. I wish I didn't already finish watching every single episode. Now I'm watching goof troop. 😅
Appreciate that you are still doing these.
Absolutely, a shame I have my droughts in uploads but that's just life getting in the way, hope to be more consistent from now on! :D
It sucks that Capcom wouldn't let Harumi back on after maternity. There's no telling what she could have done with that new Capcom sound engine.
Truly a shame, she is a fantastic composer!
great game. and this stereo mix is great
Glad you enjoy it! :)
You know what? I was made fun of for enjoying nes and snes songs when I was in elementary school, way back in the early 90s... I am so glad that channels like Niko's 8BitStereo exists and that the music is still enjoyed to this day.
A shame VGM was to be seen as that, but hell I play VGM of all kinds at work and most are usually intrigued by it, always glad to open peoples ears to stuff no one else would really play. You're welcome for the channel for all this great NES music done in this 8BitStereo treatment! :)
Capcom always delivered music that fits very well in their games; no exception here. Thanks for another revamp.
Thanks for uploading these, Niko, even amongst the turbulance that is life. I'm glad I found your channel.
Thank you, glad you enjoy what I do, hope to get more Revamps out for the people to enjoy! :D
Amazing! That's my childhood! Super double players game!
Watched the TV show / program when I was a kid, in French. They called it Tic (Chip) et (and) Tac (Dale).
The lyrics of the intro are still (in part) carved in my mind to this day. Funny enough I never actually _played_ the game when I had an NES. I'm pretty sure I saw the game at my local store, probably could rent it, but probably didn't (or, at least, I don't remember if I did). But I really liked the TV show.
Zone J. Drops mic
This is one of my all time favorite NES tracks - so good
This whole soundtrack is really a masterpiece. Lots of slightly unexpected melodic or harmonic turns to it, and the whole thing is really jazz-inflected: you could do a whole series of breakdowns on each song if you wanted. Surprisingly, the Zone J music doesn't do it for me like the other tracks.
It's pretty great, I've had the idea of doing breakdown fro each song on NES OST's, but I'm barely qualified to analyze them in such a way, I don't have the musical knowledge, just perspective of how good it sounds from a Listener stance, but I can still do it like that! :)
The first game I ever played on an emulator back in 2009. Good times.
Happy New Year 2024 Niko. May this year provide us all with the best retro gaming ost continues to bring us through nostalgia. Cheers & much love. Thank you dearly. ❤
Thank you, likewise! ❤
Hi Niko I just became a patron! I make these myself (outside RUclips), I have a system for SPC600 that also works for the NES, we’ve got to stick together.
Dual tracking the lead channels around center would make this really pop, for example.
Your videos are the best, man
Chip & Dale MMORPG never sounded better.
Fat Cats Casino last area music is the best in this game
No todos los heroes usan capa. Muchas gracias.

does it need to have an echo effect
Oof, if you think the echo effect is something here, definitely don't listen to my Old Mix version of this OST 😬
