In addition, the shed is also secured to the concrete pad on each corner with Tapcon Screws. The 1" flex exhaust when passing thru the 4" exhaust tubing is held in the center of the 4" tubing with a circular metal sheet and secured with tabs to help keep centered the 1" exhaust tube within the 4" duct.

I think when I make mine I'll get or make a little bigger shed so I can put some sound deadening rock wool insulation on the walls as that would significantly deaden the sound, other wise it looks like you did a stellar job !
Awesome set-up. This guy knows what he’s doing. I’m definitely going this route!
Have fun!
Like how you did the cord pass through..
Great job
Have u taken any decibel readings before and after? I'm considering the same generator.
Fans I have been looking at are $100.00+. Is that about what you spent on your fan and where did you get it ?
i put the fan in the description
Lots of holes to fill with insulation and tons of room for insulation for sound blocking
I suppose if one wanted to obsess with things you could insulate and try to sound deaden the rest of your life. In a nutshell It allows for the generator to be kept outside and out of the weather. Run and provide power in the very rare instances it will be needed. Once the generator is powered running and under load during a power out event the sound means nothing and can barely be heard once going back inside or anywhere else than standing around beside the unit.
@@techtiptricks How did you connect the flex pipe on for the exhaust to push out so it will not damage the generator? pretty cool I like for you to tell me how you connected it please thank you.
Does this generator have a battery start option?
This particular one does not, The sales person at Harbor Freight said there are after market kits for it but honestly it starts easily with one pull when choked then turn off choke. The way this is facing in the shed the pull start is on the left side and I'm right handed so I can even start it 1st pull left handed.
What did you use in the flooring to level it?
I leveled the concrete when i framed it to pour. It has a slight, very slight forward slope to help with rain water drainage that drips from the roof of the house.
Video of this nice setup running? Interested in noise levels.
Not yet, Levels are right at 73 standing beside it open, about 70 closed same distance. Around 67 at 25 ft closed.
