    Rebuilding the Bronx section of the #3 subway line that was demolished during the 1950s is a far more sensible idea.

    • @duckmercy11
      @duckmercy11 26 дней назад

      Didn't even know about this. Where did the 3 train run in the Bronx? I heard there used to be an elevated line on 3rd Ave, was that it?

    • @hhvictor2462
      @hhvictor2462 24 дня назад +1

      @@duckmercy11 That could be an error. It was a source that made the claim regarding the reason the Lenox line ended at 148th St. But the old 9th Ave line terminated at the Polo Grounds in Manhattan. From there, riders can connect to the Polo Grounds shuttle that ran alongside Sedgewick Ave in the Bronx. And yes, there was an elevated line that ran over 3rd Ave in Manhattan and the Bronx. And it had its own bridge.

      I've been there at all hours of the day and night. It's safe. The thugs are north of the highway nearby. This is a desolate industrial with a few luxury towers.

    I give this park 6 months before the ghetto goons and junkies ruin it.

      Doubt it. It's too isolated from the hood by the Major Deegan Expressway. And most of the "junkies" are in Manhattan.

      @duckmercy11 26 дней назад

      @@mrmrso228 I know the Bronx like the back of my hand, *especially* Mott Haven. There are very few people that live below 135th Street where this waterfront is, which is exactly why it's being developed in the first place. It's an industrial area separated by a highway, the "hoodrats" are mostly on 138th & above.

      New enclave separated from the less affluent inland neighbors by an elevated obsolete no shoulder space late 1940s design expressway. All because groups as the Knights Templar get to control the show.
