New York City is a vibrant mix of culture, architecture, and energy. Iconic landmarks like Central Park, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty showcase its charm. The city blends historic neighborhoods like Greenwich Village with modern skylines, while its diversity and arts scene make it a global cultural hub. Perfect for exploration day and night.
Wow, Jon, you’ve totally outdone yourself on attractions in New York City, why hasn’t the NYC tourism board/organisation got you onboard to promote the broad and interesting range of things to do in your fabulous city. I’ve had to watch this twice to comprehend the full range of options. You’re working is second to now ❤
I don't know how I feel about the bar on top of the rock. It's expensive to go up there alone! I'm going to NYC for Easter and I'm so shocked about how expensive everything is but I love your videos for all the cheap eats 💖
I use to live in New York and recently moved to GA. I really miss the New York vibes, there is so much to do, and there is something for everyone!! If you have never been to New York it is a MUST!
My first visit to NYC is June 17 - 23rd , so excited. See the sights and get married in Central Park. Coming down from BC Canada. I’ve watched many of your videos and will likely watch many more.
Jon, this series of current NYC is brilliant! I just got back from the city. I'm ready to book my next trip based on your revelations here. Thank you!!
I'm not good with heights and I did it with my son. It wasn't bad at all. Definitely worth it. We did it at night, I think daytime would be better for the view out toward central park.
@@iamcalebj2009 I also didn’t see a single rat! Ahah. I saw the African migrants on canal st hustling goods but I didn’t see throngs of people waiting outside shelters, I didn’t witness any pure pandemonium. No doubt that the city does have a migrant crisis but the news is fear mongering for sure .
Check before you go the ToR The Beam. It was closed when we went lots of malfunctions and faulty harnesses. You also can’t take your own photos whilst on it.
On Broadway I want to see Lempicka a musical based on the life of Polish painter Tamara de Lempicka. It opens on Broadway March 19. It got really good reviews on its runs in Massachusetts and California. Also for 80’s pop fans Boy George is taking over the role of Zidler in Moulin Rouge from February 6 to May 12.
This Broadway season is packed! Thanks for mentioning Lempicka. So much to choose from. He didn’t mention Great Gatsby or Suffs either. but there are still more than that.
We are planning to do the Beam experience when we visit NY in April. And we would love to treat you to lunch for sharing all these amazing insights and making trip planning easier
With my first time in NYC this past May, we stayed in Midtown East at the San Carlos Hotel . Its a nice hotel & we enjoyed our stay there (5 days). Saw the MJ broadway show, booked an all-day NYC siight-seeing tour, etc. We were completely exhausted . Please plan to have a "rest day" during your stay.
Thanks for the update for 2024 Jon. Wife and I are visiting NYC from the UK end of May to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. She has a list of attractions she wants to visit. Being a foodie, I have a list, from watching your many videos, of the best places to eat around where she wants to visit each day :D Nice one! For the anniversary, picnic in central park, TKTS tickets for a show then an evening meal in a good Irish pub for the craic. Huge brownie points....
Thank you so much 😊🙏 my dear 😘 about what's new in new New York .... And your amazing touring in fabulous state.... I hope 🤞 to see more from this place 🙏 Forgive me 😔 my English language not well 😅
cool and thorough review. Some good ideas, I am looking at Spring for 4 days for work, (but not a lot of actual work sort of thing). Always enjoy your content
That beam looks like a lot of fun. I'm glad to hear there is a harness to keep people on it, though. I would try that at least once. I would check out the field of light, as well. That looks amazing!
I would not go on the iron beam. Looks like I can see the view fine from the platform. I do not like heights. Great video. Very informative and great presentation.
Hi @HereBebarr we are coming to New York in mid Feb in 2025 from Australia is everything open and would be great to meet you my husband and I follow all your videos as we were in New York back in July 2022 what an amazing place :)
This video it was awesome sauce. There is no way I’m doing that first thing you talked about, as I am very scared of heights. Thank you for all your videos. 0:22
Great video, as NY resident I'm always learning something new about my backyard. And thanks mentioning the Botanic Garden's orchard show. I went last year during spring break and it was beautiful,,,but a bit crowded.
I would definitely want to try the beam! I'm not afraid of heights and love ferris wheels too. But if you want a less scary option you can go to bear mountain drive to the top of and see the NYC skyline from there.
Great video! Funny, i live 40 miles from the city and only go in a few times a year. Lol. This is my bday week and going in for a few days…finally getting to see Hamilton. Oh and taking your advice and trying out Mamas breakfast cart!
Thank for the great video. I will explore this on my upcoming trip to NYC. One more thing, which is the tune playing in background from 7:01 (Hip hop video section) till end of the video ? Can you please name it ? I simply loved it.
I'm going back again next year in March because this year we went in May & the weather got very hot. I was shocked because it made our trip tiresome. The smells made it worse. We braved on but learned some hard & expensive lessons.
Great content as usual but I just wondered what made the decision to always have subtitles on? The option is always there to add CC but now you can’t watch your videos without them. Nitpicking I know, and I may be in the minority, but I get distracted with them always on. Will still always tune in for your guides and tips though 😊
Can anyone help? I’m looking to book the field of light attraction , but the website says every single day is sold out for march? Is this right or am I not looking correctly?
Fun fact: In fiscal year 2023, NYC issued approximately 15.5 million parking and camera violations, resulting in about $1.08 billion in fines. This translates to roughly $2.96 million in parking ticket revenue per day.
Shakira es una genia, humilde e inteligente. Cuando cualquier cantante gringa pueda dar un concierto biligue a este nivel me avisan ya q no existe hoy ninguna
We visited the birth place of hip hop on the 4th of Jan, 1520 Sedgwick avenue 👍😎. Walked there from the Yankee stadium. We done TOTR on New year's Eve but didnt bother doing the beam, we were gona but changed our minds when we were there. We did ice skate after though. Was hoping for a romantic skate infront of the tree as it was our anniversary BUT we could barely stand up 😮 lol. We wanted to go for a drink by our hotel after (Yotel on 42nd and 10th) but we spent 3hrs trying to get through times square. We had to walk up to central park to back into 10th avenue. We're going back in a couple of years but will stay in Brooklyn or Queens and go in the spring. We missed the bad weather too, it turned when we took off 😉
I'm not interested in the first one, I'm afraid of heighs. I'll be a turist in NYC next September for two weeks, and I'm going to some places that you recommended in the past, so thank you 🙂
The beam looks pretty cool to get on. I don’t like heights too but i think i would go on it. Lol I had tickets to go to the field of lights but the weather was bad so I I didn’t go SMH 🤦🏽♂️ I can’t wait for Utopia bagels to open in the city. Datz do is so good. The hip-hop museum looks so cool. Wow, how clean is it going to be for that plus pool hmmm 🤔 I don’t want to grow another toe lol love this video Jon 💪🏽
As a NYC driver I’m happy to hear about the outdoor eating rules coming down the pike because we lost SO many parking spots to those restaurant outposts it’ll be a welcomed change for the places that minimize they’re space or remove it altogether
What's your take on the "bagel war" between Montréal and New York? I say Montréal has the best bagels. I am being biased, since I live in the Montréal area! Lol Salutations du Québec! 🙂

I'll be going to the 1st time ever this year 😊...I'm nervous, but I'm gonna be safe & just have fun.
@@t2shorty I'm going there for the first time in March but I'm not nervous

@@tews123 I believe Top of the Rock is one of the cheaper observation decks in NYC, without the Beam add on.
Always so much going on in NYC! So many new things and so little time to experience them all!
Definitely!!

NYC is celebrating its 400th birthday this year. Look for various events acknowledging this

Husband & I are going for the first time during spring break march 10-18, how’s the weather usually at that time of the year? We are going from texas.
I'm going back again next year in March because this year we went in May & the weather got very hot. I was shocked because it made our trip tiresome. The smells made it worse. We braved on but learned some hard & expensive lessons.
Added some things to my sons trip in March

Kramer swam in the East River and had no issues. He's even seen a few other guys out there. They weren't moving much...but they were out there 🤣
I’m going in May. So I’m very excited
Can you see Field of Light from any of the observation decks?
is the playground and water play area at pier 97 open yet? major let down but I think its still closed.
U SHOULD DO A VIDEO WHERE U GO TO EVERY MCDONALD'S IN NEW YORK CITY OR EVERY FASY FOOD CHAIN IN THE CITY
What’s the weather like on February?
its weird seeing your videos without the advance preview on Patreon. Hope you're doing great.
Doing great 😊 hope you’re well also
Utopia bagels will be a game changer
Can you do a video explore Industry City Brooklyn ?
We are going for the 1st time in mid Nov... what weather should we expect? not that anyone has a crystal ball obviously :)
yo,is lucia pizza worth trying?went in to the sheepheadbay one.the bread is like half of the thickness of chicago deep shit.i walked out.
Very nice selection of things to do in nyc this year! Hope beetlejuice musical returns to Broadway once it is finished with its us tour!
I'm at the Irish exit bar in the Amtrak station across from peemst

Are you going to make a video on the experimental subway platform barriers?

I’d try the beam! I’ve been to top of the rock now I need to go back for the beam 🤷🏻
Can anyone help? I’m looking to book the field of light attraction , but the website says every single day is sold out for march? Is this right or am I not looking correctly?
The volume of this video is kind of off. One part it's very loud and then it gets soft then loud again. Love your content but just letting you know ❤
Fun fact: In fiscal year 2023, NYC issued approximately 15.5 million parking and camera violations, resulting in about $1.08 billion in fines. This translates to roughly $2.96 million in parking ticket revenue per day.
I would NOT do the Beam. With the price of Top of the Rock and the extra fee for 90 seconds, I'll pass. Plus I hate heights!
