ReWild Your Life the government doesnt want you to know how to survive on your own without them. They want your tax dollars and want you working for them in this sysytem working paycheck to paycheck to collect your income taxes. This is why you never see shows like this on tv. Becky, you are amazing! This is my goal and I keep sharing this with the kiddos to inspire them to be self-sufficient. I am a single mom with sole custody and this gives me so much hope. Thank you so much!! Lots of love.
Really resonated and warmed to your love permeating the small holding or homestead as it is known in your country. The dog followed you everywhere. Fantastic! ATB Mark.
AWESOME !!! ....... respect on that, there are guys who waste their time in the city, and dont know hot to hit a nail, and this woman builded everything .....respect on that !!!!
lots of people talk about giving it all up and moving somewhere else, usually for retirement. but you have followed your dream for a simpler life and made it work. i love it.
Becky, living the lifestyle you do the only way to live. The life stock you care for is impressive. and you truly live as your heart guides you. Your an an amazing women!! Thanks JT in Indiana.
You are as resourceful as you are entertaining. I'm amazed, and you are a role model to all as a person, and a women. Thank you Becky, and keep it up! :D
A lot of us are doing it at an older age, but I think it was because the last several years we have been spoiled. We are learning the lessons our grandparents and great-grandparents learned. Better we learn them and practice before we need them. Good luck!!!
Thank you Becky. You have such a nice place. You make it look so easy and pleasant. You've done quite well for yourself. I like the idea that you have things in a circle around your house. Your terrace looks very inviting. Congratulations on all your accomplishments.
I am so happy I found you! I am excited....living my dream....I already have my cabin in the Smoky Mountains of NC. I am obsessed with getting back up there homesteading.... I only have 1/2 acre but it is not even on maps....thanks for your great vids!!
I just love your homestead. You are an amazing woman. I like the part where you say your chicken likes to dig everywhere she sees you digging, but you put up with it because you love her. My dog does the same thing. I live in Florida also. I have had no luck with my fig trees. My sister said you need to plant them next to a fence or house because they do not like standing out in the open. If you get lots of figs, please invite me over and show me how to make fig preserves.
Thank you so much for all of your help, Becky! My fiance and I actually first started watching your videos only a couple weeks ago, but we've both been hooked ever since. We are working on our tiny "homestead" at the moment, and by that I mean we have chickens for eggs and are starting a garden this spring. In another year, we will move from our rental and purchase land of our own so that we can build a cabin on it. From there, we'll be extending what we've got by adding more chickens, gardening more, and getting horses and goats for dairy. Well, that's the plan anyway. Thank you again Becky! We just love your videos and your inspiration that you give us every time we tune in!
I know why the chicken follows you while you dig, she is hoping to find some insects. My mom is a cockatiel breeder and I used to have a chukkar partridge, he would follow her around when she cleaned the nest boxes. The chukkar was first in line to snag any grubs that were in the soggy bedding that was being scraped out. Chickens love picking through compost too!
Nice little homestead Becky. One tip; if you have room rotate where your hog pen is, and use it for a garden space. The hog droppings will fertilizer the soil, and if you let it sit idle for a couple of months between the last hog and planting the hog manure and straw will compost into the soil and only need tilling with a small tractor or rear tine tiller.
I wouldn't use hog manure in a garden. Their droppings are very likely to be filled with harmful worms. They do not get killed in the digestive system of the pig.
I also have built a log home. And know the hard work one has to go thru to complete one. But in the end it was worth it. It impressed alot of people I knew and that made it gratifying as you Impress me in the same way !!
go for it! Ive been living in a cabin in the middle of an olive grove and its been very nice but its alot of work. my roof has been leakin from the rain, i get harrased by curious strangers, i have no electricals and my nearest watr supplies is about half a mile away. I enjoy it though. :)do your thing. its very rewarding.
Why do people hate on her because of the pig? The pig lives under fine conditions. The haters probably eat cruelty bacon every day. They should start changing the world in their own fridge.
Being raised on a small homestead farm we raised and killed our own hogs. Its just a lifestyle as much as disc golf or Starbuck divas that i cant understand but i cant knock them. Its their choice. We did make every effort to dispatch the pig as humanly as possible. Its not like we went out and emptied a clip into the animal. One clean shot to brain. He is passed before he can blink. I cleaned and handled the carcass with care and heart knowing it fed us.
Thank you for sharing this video! I'm still young and live with my parents but I hope to be able to buy some land and build everything myself. I really admire that you were able to make your dream into a reality!
As far as the ones saying hateful things, why give them anymind, they obvious have not heard the saying, "in order to get something you have first get off the couch and get your boots on" this is something my Dad told my 6 siblings and I daily while growing up on a working farm. This lady is one hard worker and to accomplish all this she deserves our respect, atleast she has mine, not many people like us in our society anymore, Thanks for the inspiration to get off the couch.
You are very inspiring Becky. I can't wait till I am at a point in life where I can live as simply as you do. I am currently in school so that I can actually afford to buy my own land someday, then I plan to cut on back on work dramatically and focus on the important things! Loved this video!
if pigs are not nasty as some of you say would you sleep and live in there pin i grew up on a farm we cleaned up everyday and feed animals everyday and pigs where always the worst and they stink the most she had a pretty clean area besides all of these negative things becky you have inspired me to to change my life for the better i am currently looking for land and we plan to build our own home you gave me that extra kick i needed thanks for all your videos they are helpful your awesome never stop your videos you encourage so many people again thank you :)

Hi Becky, just subscribed😊you have some really cool ideas,I'm just learning about homesteading, and I'm very interested in all of it💜thanks for sharing all your ideas💌
great video. Becky I love how your homestead looks. I love your way with the animals. they all look so happy. I just found you on here and have been checking your videos out. I really enjoy them. my.fiance and our two babies moved to a hog farm where we are raising hogs for meat in Salisbury Vermont at the Salisbury Hog Farm. we are still starting out we have a long way to go. but I really enjoy watching you and all your tips and advice oh I love it. so helpful thank you and please keep the videos coming I am subscribed to you now. thank you so much for everything. this is what I hope to do with my children. we love farming. we hope to have goats and sheep maybe. thank you so much again. beautiful home and farm. love it.

How dependent are you on the electric grid ? Suggest you look at Engineer 775 on You Tube for some other great ideas and thanks for sharing what you do and have done ! God Bless, Don
I love what you did. You inspire me a lot. I come from an island in the South Western Pacific and things are free. I could do just as you. Though we have no horses or goats but it could be great to invest in some. Thank you for sharing 👍😊
This is only my second video of yours I've watches and I am completely delighted with your wholesome outlook on the world. First I watched you build your home and I will never EVER forget it. You amaze me so, I can't stop watching. I grew up on a farm so I get how this life style works from the inside. I am 72 now so I can appreciate your love and energy for your H O M E S T E A D. I have less energy now, AND the love is still there.
Becky, I really like the simplicity of your homesteading. You keep hitting home easy and convenient. This is so true, especially if you work full time. It can be tough to keep up all the chores, run a household and work if it is not set up right. Our biggest tip is ensuring you can water everything easily. If you live in a warm climate this can take up alot of time if not planned right. Thanks for the video! ~Ranger Hill Honey Farm!
Becky you are one awesome lady. Thanks for the video. I bet it feels wonderful living a free life. Just found your channel. I'll be watching your videos.
So awesome,.wish it was me,..I'm in the city, and stuck in a small room,.cause can't afford anything bigger,.you have it made Becky,..beautiful animals,.Lyn from Can.
Your cool. My dream is to have a homestead!! I found your RUclips channel this week and I love it. You seem to have a nice warm heart for the animals!!!
Hi Becky, You really have inspired me for sure. I could never accomplished what you have done for yourself and family. I love your picture perfect little farm. I would have had to hire someone to do it for me. LOL Thank you for sharing. I am a native Floridian and I live in Clearwater at this time. I love to go home to Panama City. My friend smokes hams for me a lot of times. Enjoy your day...
I just found you with this older video and subscribed in 2 minutes! You are precious and can’t wait to get to know you better. You have a beautiful personality 🦋💜
I appreciate your sharing of your chosen lifestyle. My husband and I (ages 63 and 69) grow much of our own food in a large vegetable garden, keep chickens for eggs and manage a 5-acre wooded property in SW Michigan. I know just how much physical labor it is to build, grow and maintain this type of lifestyle. Even cooking from scratch three times a day takes time. I learned a lot from your explanation of why you have your pens and pastures in a row with fencing back to back. Smart! I do find it interesting that predators do not get through that fencing with large holes. The raccoons would have our chickens in a heartbeat here. One question: with your animals that close to your home do you have nasty smells when you sit on your porch, or are you downwind? Looking forward to seeing more videos.
Becky , you should be very proud of yourself.Realize whenever you post you have those people that have nothing better then to just comment in a negative way. Take what you need and spit out the rest darling. Keep up the good work and remember take care of yourself as well as everyone else. Best wishes
That chicken that keeps flying over is a trouble maker! Lol! Did you try clipping her wings? We have around 20 chickens and we have to clip their wings. You only need to clip one wing. They can't seem to get their balance when trying to fly, so they can't fly more than two feet up. The feathers will grow back eventually.
Thank you for sharing your homestead with us. There are people watching your videos that actually appreciate people like you that make videos. Love your homestead!! :) I bought a small house on a couple acres in a small country town here in New England, and I want to begin to create a homestead like yours. I am on a quest to live a simpler life.
Thank you so much for making this video. My husband and I plan to be more green and try and find a place where we can raise chickens and a garden and a milking cow. We eventually want to live off the grid. He plans on teaching me how to do all these things and many other things as well.
When we find a chicken that seems to be flying out of the pen, we would clip the wing feathers on one side! They can't get the lift they need to get over the fence. Google it to see how to do it! I love your set up.
you know I applaud people who choose to homestead and free themselves from the burden of the rest of the world.. Im just curious what are your plans for when you can no longer do the things you need to do to keep up with chores? (health wise I mean)
You are truly an inspiration!! Did you know that you can delete the silly comments on here? It would be so much better for those of us that appreciate what you do to read through helpful comments and not have to sort through the ones that contribute nothing to your lovely videos.
Animals that naturally are in groups should not be kept on their own. Pigs are group animals and keeping one on its own is cruel. All animals should be treated equally, with compassionate loving kindness, and a part of that is to make sure that their social interactions are as close to what they are naturally in the wild as possible.
Yeah I agree with this. This homestead looks great but it breaks my heart to see the pig without friends of his own kind. They really need company to be healthy and happy.
I love your simplistic approach and ideas. We just got 10acres and it’s my dream to build a homestead where my children and family can enjoy farm life and learn sustainable ways to living and not follow the huge consumeristic path.
keeping the chicken koop is a bad idea a mobile one is best you can build it anysize but it can be moved every few days thay way the ground does not get time to get contaminated by over useage and chicken droppings you can find instructions on you tube thanks for making a live much simpler also aquaponics is a great way to also add fish and increse your garden yeald by about 20-40 fold
Oh Becky... I'm liking what I see here. There are so many criticisms. What you are doing is buying feed and grain and therefore it is coming from an outside source. You are bringing it onto your land, feeding your animals and they are rewarding you by peeing and pooping all over the place! Awesome, they are not returning nutrients back to the soil, you are doing something better here... stick with me... you are taking an outside source of nutrition and building up your soils! That is fantastic! Few people in the world are investing in their futures and their children's futures in such a way that makes good sound sense. Two things... I saw this video on RUclips I think the guy's name was Rob and I think he was in Australia. Because his chickens quickly overgrazed the space he had for them he built a frame with a hinged top covered with hardware cloth (um close squares so the chickens couldn't get through it. He'd throw down some grains a mix of wheat, timothy hay seed, rye, etc. and he would grow it under the frame when it started poking out through the top he opened the frame and let them have at it. It was a brilliant way to offer them natural grains and grasses (the sort you'd plant a field with if you wanted to hay your land and it lowered his feed costs because that seed is very cheap as a rule. Since he was growing it in the chicken coop they fertilized it themselves every time they got on top of the frame, of course you may have to water it a bit . And by god shake that brown thumb thing...lol... its all about the soil and how healthy it is. This is no good for your ego...lololol... of course this is an old video hopefully by now you are grabbing the manure and composting it and spreading it and using the compost in your garden. If something won't grow it is NOT your fault. it's because we are abusing our soils and taking and taking and taking and not returning nutrients to it!!! This is a vid from 2013 by now you have done extensive work amending the soils simply because you keep farm animals and your garden should be doing significantly better. My Respect Becky. Great job! You go girl!
10:10 is that your garden? I'd love to help you out with that! Since your doing such a great job with everything else you really do need to garden more. I love to garden veg and flowers and grow all of my food most of the year.
THIS should have its own TV show! I would watch every week!
ReWild Your Life the government doesnt want you to know how to survive on your own without them. They want your tax dollars and want you working for them in this sysytem working paycheck to paycheck to collect your income taxes. This is why you never see shows like this on tv. BRANDON LONVELIN your Tin foil hat is a little too tight
Don't put it on TV they will take it over and turn it into a silly television show like they do everything
I agree!

Hello my dear friend how are you doing today nice to meet you here
Hello Betsy partly hope you're having a good time?
Maybe she needs a couple of cows. The milk is great for making butter and then the droppings are good for fertilizer.
I also have built a log home. And know the hard work one has to go thru to complete one. But in the end it was worth it. It impressed alot of people I knew and that made it gratifying as you Impress me in the same way !!

Thks Becky, this reminds me of Grandma's life style.
Being raised on a small homestead farm we raised and killed our own hogs. Its just a lifestyle as much as disc golf or Starbuck divas that i cant understand but i cant knock them. Its their choice. If you clip one wing of the chickens they wont fly over your fence. This does not hurt the animal as you are only cutting the tips of the feathers.
I absolutely love the way you live!!! I'd do it all except the pig part, my husband and I love watching your videos!

Thank you so much for making this video. My husband and I plan to be more green and try and find a place where we can raise chickens and a garden and a milking cow. We eventually want to live off the grid. He plans on teaching me how to do all these things and many other things as well.
Hi Trish hope your having a good time?
I love your vids Becky! Great job.
Beautiful personality, beautiful place. Thanks for sharing!
Love the rebellious hen.

Hi
I love how you put your animals in a circle around your house!
Hello dear
You've got to be kidding me!!! You built that cabin all by yourself?!?
I'm sure her sons helped her, & maybe her husband, a little, but most of it was probably done by her. I know her.
Why couldn't she?
@@loridennis2989 she weighs 300 lbs
@@ericburgan1736 no she doesn't, probably more like 240 lbs.
and she's more intelligent & ambitious than you'll ever be in your rude, pathetic life.
When we find a chicken that seems to be flying out of the pen, we would clip the wing feathers on one side! They can't get the lift they need to get over the fence. Google it to see how to do it! I love your set up.
Hi hope you're having a good time today ☺
you know I applaud people who choose to homestead and free themselves from the burden of the rest of the world.. Im just curious what are your plans for when you can no longer do the things you need to do to keep up with chores? (health wise I mean)
@@pathunnicutt9345 what is wrong with you??
Love watching this video! Beautiful cabin 🤗
This is very inspirational, self sufficient, really love the place. Peaceful and contented
Hello
Enjoyed the tour! Nice animals & setup!
You are truly an inspiration!! Did you know that you can delete the silly comments on here? It would be so much better for those of us that appreciate what you do to read through helpful comments and not have to sort through the ones that contribute nothing to your lovely videos.
I love this kind of life. Thank you for sharing..
They really need company to be healthy and happy.
appletreeblues LMAO!
What does she care? She is going to eat that innocent animal.
Red hair and pink the prefect combo..thanks for the tour!
your place just like.... ''Little house on the prairie - movie - . Good job, Lady.
This is a Great Video!! Thanks so much for taking the time to make it! I really enjoyed seeing this!!
Becky...YOU ROCK !!! Keep it up !
I love your simplistic approach and ideas. We just got 10acres and it’s my dream to build a homestead where my children and family can enjoy farm life and learn sustainable ways to living and not follow the huge consumeristic path.
keeping the chicken koop is a bad idea a mobile one is best you can build it anysize but it can be moved every few days thay way the ground does not get time to get contaminated by over useage and chicken droppings you can find instructions on you tube thanks for making a live much simpler also aquaponics is a great way to also add fish and increse your garden yeald by about 20-40 fold
hey becky you are an inspiration and I wish I could have my own homestead just like you
Becky you are amazing. Now that's living. I`m sick of the city life. Peace and light to you.
Hi Becky, Do you have a garden? Very nice homestead, Thanks for sharing,
Scarlett
10:10 is that your garden? I'd love to help you out with that!
Since your doing such a great job with everything else you really do need to garden more.
I love to garden veg and flowers and grow all of my food most of the year.
I (we) used to live like this and boy do I miss it , nice place ,very clean which is very important
