The Bridgestone MB1/2/3 not being on here is a massive miss. THE bike that brought high end MTB to the masses.

The only thing controversial here is how many brands we didn’t have time to cover.
Diamondback, Bridgestone, Barracuda, Look, Colnago, San Rensho, Ritchey, WTB, Yeti, Ibis, Salsa, Klein, Nishiki, Marin, to name a few.
The people yearn for more. I hope this will become a series so we can add these other brands.
Bonus: you spoke to it a bit with Cannondale, but the tubing quality and construction details should be a more integral part of the equation for this tier list.

@@Gyuudon-enjoyer Thank you for this comment, I didn’t want to make the video extremely long so I did have to leave out a ton of brands. Seeing how well this video did I definitely think I should make another with all of the brands you mentioned!
You make really good point about the tubing quality and construction… I should have touched on that more and in the next episode I will definitely make that a bigger part of the equation!

Cannondale is sick. I've got a 94' GT Karakoram and a 92' Dale M700 with the fat aluminum tubes and the ride quality with the oversized 1 1/4" alum fork is so good

I have the 1995 Cannondale M500 in the garage. The Beast of the East!
Its design is ancient by modern standards, but it also weighs half as much. The 3 x 7 drivetrain also means it is useful for more than one thing. A true hybrid.

I remember them. they had stronger tubes and a BB height of about 3/4-1 inch taller depending on frame size.

Maybe I am just newer to the scene, but I don't see GTs nearly as much as the Specialized lines. I love me a sexy Hard Rock but it's almost a meme how common they are in the Xbike community

The absolute first high end bike that i ever rode was a Cannondale V. i just snagged a 1997 KillerV900ht with DD60 head shock and i love it. i am hoping for a rigid one to be beside it. headshocks are a nightmare but any rigid cannondale ia always a good bike and the killer series is my favorite style .

Great video. I have a collection of 30 , 1990's hardtails and a few full suspensions. I worked at a GT shop in the 90's and they have a reputation for a reason. I have a 1991 GT Karakoram [ you said it perfectly ] in purple swirl, a 98 Avalanche le 6061 full XT, 99 Zaskar XTR, 95 Timberline in team scream paint and a swell 99 LTS 4000. as for the GT hardtails no other bike feels the same on the rear end off a 2 foot or more drop off than the triple triangle design. I built them, rode them and still do. Also, besides a derailleur hanger i have never ever seen a broken GT hardtail in steel or aluminum . As for Cannondale I have 2 and like them especially my 97 black KillerV900ht with DD60. I have 2 Speci Hardrocks an A1 aluminum and 2 FSR Enduros with no complaints . I have never owned a Trek and even passed on the shop owners Trek 8000 for free because it said Trek on the side, lol . As for KONA , that is my favorite bike brand alongside old RockyMountains. I only have a 97 Caldera,2000 Kaboom and a swell 92 FireMountain but hope to find more . Cheers from Nova Scotia , Canada !
