  • A Food Forest On Steroids (Natural steroids I should add).
Steven's farm is only 8 months old, and visiting it blew my mind!
I'm on a journey to design and build my own permaculture farm in the Dominican Republic, and seeing projects like these absolutely inspire me.
Hope you'll enjoy this episode of Steven's farm :)
    Join me in this journey!
    -------
If you're interested in sustainable living, permaculture, sub-tropical agriculture, tiny houses or anything in between, I think you'll like the content on this channel.
In 2022 I bought a piece of land in the North of the Dominican Republic to prototype a new way of living.
    Food:
I want to grow my own food but have no clue about how to do it, so this should be fun.
    Shelter:
I'm planning on building my own cabin, outside toilet and kitchen, gazebo.
    Energy:
Want to be fully self sustainable through either solar energy or hydrogen energy.
I have somewhat of an idea of how this is going to go, but mostly, it's improvised.
    ---------
I'm absolutely open to tips and ideas, so leave them in the comments
    ----------
    My priorities:
    1) Do a good job on the land
    2) Have fun
    3) Document it well
That means, at some point, you might have to tap into your own imagination to fill in the gaps ;)

      Hey, thanks for reaching out...
It depends a bit on what you're looking for.
      If you buy a large piece (Around 200,000 - 500,000 square meters), then it's about $2 - $3 / sq. meter.
If you buy a smaller piece, you get to around $12.
It's very important not to only look at the pricing though and also at how easy the legal process of buying will be, because most properties are an absolute mess when it comes to the titles.
If you have any more questions, I'm happy to help out :)
      Thanks for watching!

      Thanks for the comment!
Although 5 msq. isn't a whole lot, depending on the sun that gets through,I believe you could grow more than you first believed. Try googling things like '1 square meter gardening' or something like that. I think you'll be amazed.
Also, google vertical gardens. That's probably your best option there! :)
