Thank you for.posting this. Its a blessing to know that this song is touching the younger generation the way it did me 37 years ago when it first was released and I was going through a break up.

BTW, they didn't record this together. Patti recorded her part in NYC and they sent the tape to Michael in California who then sang his part over hers. Still an amazing duet. Patti's manager didn't want her to sing this song because he didn't like the song. Burt Bacharach who wrote this song with his wife produced it for Patti.
