Would you maybe think of doing an open water perch series next year? It's pretty lack luster when you RUclips perch videos and how to catch them I have stumbled across a few perch while walleye fishing and would love to learn how to key in on them just for a change sometimes
That looks super fun. Grab a rod and a small bag of lures and hit the water. It would be something to take to a cottage with the family without taking up a lot of space in the car. Thanks for the video.
Definitely a sweet looking paddle board! I agree with Paul S, would be great for taking on trips with minimal gear just so you could still go out and fish without really taking up tons of space in the vehicle.
Every day out petting the fish is a good day friend. I'm really digging that paddle board. I'd just have to find a seat for it (one that works for my disabilities). Be well and tight lines.
Dang that thumbnail stood out, very strange how our brains work, love the paddle board content its very unique and nice to see someone do their own style of videos
Brave man to keep his beer right in front of him. I would have booted that into the water before finishing 😢. I think Flukemaster said something on an older video about using finessier hooks (thinner gauge) to help with hook sets in a kayak. Maybe even more important on the paddle board?
Honestly going down to more finesse hooks makes a ton of sense to offset the movement of the light board. Might have to try that. And yeah that beer somehow survived the trip haha
One of the good jigs that I discovered for bass for myself and it works pretty good is a hair jig. A 1/16 Oz and colors would be black and silver, Brown and orange or even a silver and black color too. These hair or feather jigs they do work pretty good for bass during the fall and middle of spring as well. That's a great paddle board, it's great to see you enjoying it.
I put a milk crate on the back of my board, added a lid in case I flipped. Great for holding gear, anchor and anything else you just wanna pile in there and out of the way!
On my plopper 90 I changed out the hooks to a smaller size and wire size then I had more success keeping them on. Also squished the barb because small bass swipe at it and get snagged.
just be happy you are able to fish unlike myself i have had aknee replacement no fishing for 8 weeks or longer best of luck keep fishing so i can watch thanks again
I'm still trying to get used to standing in a kayak (first my Bonafide and now my Hobie) I can't imagine even standing on a paddle board yet along fishing on one. Looks like you did just fine though sir. The new name is suiting you well, fish anything, on anything with anything. Next year let's see in a tube while floating down a river... I tried to this year, but my wife told me no... something about cheap target tubes and hooks on a river... I didn't see an issue, but then again I'm the risk taker in the relationship.
Just placed an order for some donkey tail horse fly and mule jigs it always looks like you have a blast on ultra lite and I wanna get in on some of that team dink action.. thanks for the content tight lines and happy fishing
I got rid of the seat my sup came with and strapped on a 50qt cooler to the board and mounted a rod holder that holds 3 rods behind the cooler so I can reach behind me when I’m wanting to change combos
It hasn't caused me any noticeable discomfort yet but I haven't been out there for more than about 2-3 hours usually. I think the fact that you can change positions easily cuts down on any major pain points.
I’ve been looking at some sort of watercraft for fishing recently. Don’t know if I’d trust the paddle board over a kayak or even something like an inflatable boat. Definitely does look like a fun vibe though!
Lol to be fair I was very new to paddle board fishing in this video so I hadn’t quite figured out offsetting the movement of the board. Either way, I botched a lot of fish lol

I have full intentions of doing a Yellow Perch series at some point. I am very intrigued by them.
That looks super fun. Grab a rod and a small bag of lures and hit the water. It would be something to take to a cottage with the family without taking up a lot of space in the car. Thanks for the video.
Exactly. That is one of the ways I fully intend to use this rig.

Exactly my plans for this rig!

That makes total sense. I think a decent cooler that you rig a foam chairback seat to the top could be an interesting strategy.
@@FishAnything Didn't think of that but sounds like a solid idea. Thanks.
I fish off mine standing up. It took a bit of practice but im glad i did it. Much better. It does take good balance.
I love fishing standing but if there is any wind I just get blown around too much!
Dang that thumbnail stood out, very strange how our brains work, love the paddle board content its very unique and nice to see someone do their own style of videos
Thank you Austin :) glad you liked it!
Bass fishing the new paddle board and the I P Yay! Nice
YESSIR!
welcome to the world of paddle board fishing. i miss my maverick 120 but I love my hobie lynx. and looking at the itrek 11.
Ohhhh that Hobie Lynx looks NEXT LEVEL. I want one of those.
This seems like a fun idea. Nice video!
Definitely a fun rig! Thank you :)

I will have to check those out :) Thanks Shawn.

Welcome you are

Good strategy! I used my crate in the most recent video and enjoyed it as well.
On my plopper 90 I changed out the hooks to a smaller size and wire size then I had more success keeping them on. Also squished the barb because small bass swipe at it and get snagged.
Honestly that makes a lot of sense. I should probably do a hook swap.
just be happy you are able to fish unlike myself i have had aknee replacement no fishing for 8 weeks or longer best of luck keep fishing so i can watch thanks again
Sorry to hear that :( I hope you can get out there and fish again soon.

Hahaha I should totally do that! You float the Rogue? I have done that float before. Didn't bring a pole but maybe you and I could change that.
I was wondering what a bass hookset would be like on this thing.
It is a little funky but not too bad!

Thank you so much for the support!!!
I’m doing this tomorrow. Hopefully I catch as much as u
Hope you have been catching them!
I got rid of the seat my sup came with and strapped on a 50qt cooler to the board and mounted a rod holder that holds 3 rods behind the cooler so I can reach behind me when I’m wanting to change combos
That’s what I’m going to do too! Thanks man
@@FishAnything awesome! Academy has a cheap 50qt cooler and grabbed the rod holder from bass pro
Im gonna try paddle board trout fishing this year and im stoked
Sounds like a blast!
Tahquamenon Falls now that is one beautiful place
Super pretty spot! I want to go back and see it again.
@@FishAnything it has been a long time since I have been to the falls. Can't remember if upper or lower falls were the best
That paddle board looks sweet man!!
It definitely is! I will be using this a lot next summer :)
Nice video, Just curious will the paddle board hurt the lowback when you fishing like a few hours?
It hasn't caused me any noticeable discomfort yet but I haven't been out there for more than about 2-3 hours usually. I think the fact that you can change positions easily cuts down on any major pain points.
Have you tried using a cooler as a seat?
Yeah I have played around with it. Definitely a good option!
I’ve been looking at some sort of watercraft for fishing recently. Don’t know if I’d trust the paddle board over a kayak or even something like an inflatable boat. Definitely does look like a fun vibe though!
It is a lot of fun! I still prefer kayak fishing if you have the space for it and ability to transport. But if not, the SUP is a great option.
I use my seat from my pedal kayak on my paddle board.
Good strategy!
Ive fished like a dozen different locations around here and your dinks are bigger than any largemouth I've caught lol
Lol each lake is different!
💯🔥💙👍
Thanks :)
👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks for watching, Dan!
Have you heard of setting a hook?
Lol to be fair I was very new to paddle board fishing in this video so I hadn’t quite figured out offsetting the movement of the board. Either way, I botched a lot of fish lol
Very cringe 😂
