Hey man! You got me into ultralight fishing and for that I am truly grateful. This has become by far my favorite fishing channel on RUclips. Please don't ever apologize for catching small fish with ultralight gear. I think it's a bad look for you. Be proud of the dinks! It's fun to catch lots of small fish with the right gear.
I am a multi-species like yourself. I have some of your mule gear. This video has made me look into my catch catalogue and realize I caught a decent pumpkin seed instead of a Redear X Bluegill. Keep up the good work. Because of this video my lifetime species list +1.
Tried a little something on a lake you haven't fished during open water and had some decent sunfish. The next one was more plentiful with Bass cool. Both remind me of the lake we'll be at in northern WI. The fish population is pretty healthy and love catching bonus pumpkinseed from the weedline. Similar sand pockets to fish. Great times for the ultralight gurus. Blessings Ethan
Now that the fall will be here very soon, I am hoping that the ultralight fishing or any type of fishing be so much better now. The new fall season means The weather and the water temperature will be getting cooler and that means the fish will be biting better. Hope that's the case. Another great fish-catching video. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Im so envious of your water clarity. I don’t have anything like that within 100 miles of me in western Oklahoma. Lots of man made lakes and farm ponds and muddy creeks. All my fishing is by feel.
Man. I caught a 5lbs carp on a cheap bfs rig lol. You should have seen the disappointment on my face when i realized it wasnt a bass. Everyone was rooting for me.
I love your brand and all of your baits. The only ones I don’t have is the minnows. Definitely going to be getting me some. God bless brother and tight lines
I commented the other day on a Diawa presso rod & you said you had the 7'. You mentioned that you didn't love it.... Man you should try the 6' & or the 6'6" model. I have all 3 lengths in the 2 piece model ( sometimes you can find them shipped for around $70.00 sometimes less & sometimes a little more). The 6' & 6.6' are the sweet spot , super ultra light & very sensitive. I have been experimenting with your 1/64 oz paired with 4lb tst and I have been having the time of my life! I also have couple other kind of jig heads in 1/20 & 1/30. Just been dusting some monster size bream.
I've got a Dobyns Sierra trout and panfish on the way! (Based on some of your review videos) My first UL rod. I'm excited about getting into UL fishing!
@@matthill918 I ordered a miravel 1000. We'll see how it balances. If I end up wanting a heavier reel, I might get a Nasci. I'm not a fan of tip heavy rods, so I don't mind a little more weight in the tell some times.
@@matthill918 update: I got the miravel in, and I think it balances perfectly for the way that I hold by rod and reel. I hold it with 3 fingers in front of the reel and one behind.
Also, I am definitely curious about your thoughts should you ever get your hands on that Zman Ned rig rod. Might be a cool joint review with the Aggressively Average guys. The two reviews I read preferred the shorter rod.
Watching your vids are both entertaing and informative. Your baits catch fish no doubt. I've been exploring "ponds" near home. Today I was using a 3.2 minnow. I caught a bunch. From a 4 inch gill to a 7+ Pumpkinseed. Side note.... I'm waiting on delivery of a kayak. DARN YOU.😂
The pasture fire donkey tail jr has been killing it in my creeks. I just got a new color of horsefly last week (white) and it did very well this past weekend. You can bounce off the bottom it like a creature bait or swim it and it looks like a little bait fish. The brown horsefly has been working very well as a trailer on a 1/16 Keitech mono jig as well.
loving the ultra light fishing. also looking for to taking the donkey tail Jr out. my order just got to me, and im planning the next one. I did have a question for you, have you tried a Gika( or Jika) rig? I imagine the gamakatsu #4 ewg hook with a 1/16oz or 1/32oz drop shot weight would make a nice rig for ultralight.
Unfortunately because I am still a small one-man company, I am only online. If you have any local baitshops near you, you can definitely recommend they reach out to stock Mule products though!
@@FishAnything I’ll look into them. I have a cheap featherlight one from Amazon that keeps getting pin holes. I should’ve seen the inflatable part in your title sorry man
That first lake is just not that great. It was in the past according to some co-workers, but now over populated with small fish. Another awesome video sir.
One man’s opinion….. I bought everything mule fishing has to offer and I love using what you have to offer…. I enjoy your videos except for one thing…. You being on a paddle board….. I know you’re trying to make different content with the paddle board but it’s not working for me and probably a lot of people that don’t say anything…..Get in your kayak and fish…..
Thanks for the feedback and support, Dwayne! Honestly I don't fish off the SUP specifically for content anymore. That was certainly a part of it to start, but now I just like to take it out when I don't have a ton of time and want a simple throw and go. I absolutely prefer the big kayak, but it isn't always in the cards to load that up, rig it out, fish, then do the same on the way home. The SUP cuts down on time substantially in setup/takedown. Plus I thoroughly enjoy being on the board - very relaxing! Either way... Don't worry, the kayak fishing isn't going anywhere. It is still my preference :)

Thank you Jason! I really appreciate the kind words, and I won't apologize about small fish again lol
That is a Beautiful piece of water. Wow
We have some really pretty areas around here. Always fun to explore!

Woohoo! Love to hear it! Thanks for watching :)
Outstanding day of fishing, thanks for sharing!
Thank you :)

Definitely my favorite ultralight fishing Guro Brother 🤠!! God Bless 🙏

Fall can be really hit or miss, but once they get into the feeding behavior it can be an absolute blast!
Oh i recognized that lake immediately! What a great place to go relax and fish! And btw plenty of dinky perch there haha
Honestly I was surprised how poor the fishing was. Glad I finally tried it though!
Awesome! Good times
Always good times on the water :)
Great video can’t wait for the next one
Thank you. More to come!
Im so envious of your water clarity. I don’t have anything like that within 100 miles of me in western Oklahoma. Lots of man made lakes and farm ponds and muddy creeks. All my fishing is by feel.
I grew up in Kansas and the water was primarily stained to dirty. Now all I have is clear water and I miss the dirty stuff lol
Great video. Appreciate the little nugget about why you downsized the bait and what you noticed about the bass
Thanks Mark :)

No need to be disappointed - I bet that was a dang blast!!!
love your videos
Thank you - I appreciate the support.
Crazy to me how clear your waters are up there.
I'm in Northeast Ohio. The public lakes I fish at the water is always stained but the past week the water looks black. What's up with that?
I love the clear water, but sometimes wish I had more variety.
And Cornelius, your lakes are likely turning over.
@@FishAnything come on down to NC brother I'll show you some variety in water!
I’m back to live my life through your videos 😂. May is right around the corner though, water won’t be warm until June on WI of course.
I am counting down the days until consistent warmth!

Thanks as always for the support, Caleb. I hope all is well out your way.
Awesome video man, Your channel is great, Love ultralight fishing!!!
Thank you! 🤠👊🏽
Nice video. I don’t mind catching dinks, as long as I catch plenty.
True!

Yeah I’ve had the travel Presso in 5’6 and it was stellar. No doubt the mid length Presso is where it’s at!

Warmouth 🎣
Such a cool species!

Great video! How do you see fish so well underwater? 😅
Two things... We have clear water and I wear polarized sunglasses. Also I have a ton of experience in knowing what to look for.
Nice! Thanks for you information!
Pumpkins are definitely the prettiest fish in michigan
They are super beautiful. I agree.
wow such a calm water and mirror like surfac, what lb line you use to manage exposed hooks on weeds?
I use 6lb braid with 4lb copolymer leader. A good way to avoid the weeds is actually to use lighter jigheads so they sink slower and don't bog down.

@@FishAnything I’m still searching for a 1/32oz drop shot weight. I think it would be perfect for a ultralight Gika rig.
Where can I find some of those donkey tail jr in the box stores …

im about to purchase a 7'2" trickstick light action and ducket crappie slayer 6'6" what reels would you suggest i put on both of these for panfish.
I’d say a Daiwa or shimano size 2000 in a budget you can afford would be my best recommendation at this time.
I like your SUP man. Is it a hard board or inflatable? What model is it and where did you get it? I do alot of fishing from my SUP too.
It is a Glide Inflateable Angler. Great board!

I know you fish with small lures a lot so what are you favorite small lures
I am biased... I own Mule Fishing, so that is what I prefer. I designed everything for my own fishing desires.
That first lake is just not that great. It was in the past according to some co-workers, but now over populated with small fish. Another awesome video sir.
Need an otter to come threw and knock the population back.
Seems like there are several lakes that are overpopulated with dinks. Gotta keep exploring!
I get those “weird bites” alot from lm bass. I’ll just feel some weight so set the hook!
They tend to suck things up on the fall so that makes sense!

No way I wouldn't lost all my staff laying on board.
Lol it isn't too hard after a bit of practice.
Watching you sit like that makes my legs hurt.
Lol yeah mine too. I need to get more flexible.
