The reveal about her dad is great when you think of what Lucy said to Max in the last episode: “If my dad found out I destroyed an entire community, just to save him, it’d break his heart.”
Betty's line back with Norm, "Because I buried her myself. Me, and your father," takes on new meaning when you know Vault 31 was responsible for Shady Sands. They "buried" her, all right.
Thanks for taking the time to review this show. I really enjoyed watching your reactions. I hope that we both enjoy season 2 just as much. And remember....War...War never changes.
Aisha, my dear, I LOVE your reactions. You are clever enough to piece some things together and even when you are off base, you almost always get parts of the whole. I am also ever enamored by the best dimples on YT! Oh, and don't think we didn't notice that silent look at the camera during a certain ADR line! Luv ya!
So many points to think about: - Vault Boy lives on as a cold blooded killer ghoul who HATES Vault-Tec. - The residents of Vault 31 are frozen Vault-Tec managers, specifically chosen and trained by Bud. They get thawed out to become overseers, managing the other two vaults. And they don't even HAVE mashed potatoes!!! - Moldaver lived somehow. It's probably the same cryo-tech as Bud's Buds. We don't know exactly when or how she got thawed out, but she lived and thrived in Shady Sands. She met Rose, Lucy, and Norm while living in Shady Sands. - Lucy really did feel the sun!! - Shady Sands was the capital of the New California Republic. Some survivors from Shady Sands ended up in Vault 4 where they flew the NRC flag, taught Shady Sands history, and worshiped the Flame Mother. - In the first episode, when the raiders were wreaking havoc, Moldaver had her own well trained military... the remnants of the NCR. - The battle at Griffon Observatory is the NCR vs The Brotherhood of Steel. - Maximus had one goal in life... to hurt the people who hurt him. - Maximus wants to go to a vault where everything is nice, but Dane told him that there's no escaping The Brotherhood. - Valut 33 would never let Lucy back in anyway, never mind Maximus. --- and the worst point --- - Bud Askins was right about EVERYTHING.
A lot of people go into E8 expecting the questions can't all be answered in one episode. But everything is so interconnected that it all just comes undone like a magic trick. I think there's going to be a VaultTec v Brotherhood war in the future with Maximus leading the charge "...to hurt the people who hurt me."
I can see her turning into a Moldaver type figure. Not as cynical as the ghoul but nowhere near as naive and morally good as Lucy initially. More so fighting for the people who have been affected bc of Vault Tech and willing to kill to protect.
Yes, season 2 is confirmed. The city at the end is New Vegas. The evil looking skull in the sand was a Death Claw. This last episode is a tragedy in the true sense of the word. Aisha was Sherlock Holmes from episode 1 to the finale.

Hey Aisha! Amazing reaction for this whole series. Loved the reveal, the emotional pain, the flashbacks, all of it. I love the Fallout series. Played Fallout 3, 4, and started New Vegas. What I love about the Amazon series is how, even though I've been exposed to the game lore and know how this world works, this show still shocked and amazed me. I also didn't want to ask this until you finished the series, since i didnt want to potentially spoil it for you, but would you be open to reacting to all the vaults and their experiments seen in the games?
Thank you so much!! (Also random but I love your pfp: that was my fav Life is Strange game :)) I’d definitely be down to checking that out, where can I find it?
@@artxroyalty Thanks! It's my favorite Life is Strange game too! And there's a good video by Pattyrick, "Every Vault in the Fallout Series", that's very straight to the point, about 40 minutes. It's a fairly recent video. There's a glossary in the beginning of the video for context for certain vaults. They do a good job explaining the vaults and their experiments, but it is kinda fast paced.
Another great reaction. And yes season two is underway. Norm I think can escape, After all Bud is just a brain in a jar easily threatened, also Norm could release all of Buds Buds, or crawl out the way the rad roaches get in. To quote Wilzig "Will you still want the same things when you become a different animal altogether?" Does not seem so. The reason IMO that Wilzig knew Lucys name is because he was in contact with Moldaver who told him who she was planning on kidnapping for the code.
Maybe...but there's most likely another reason: Wilzig was Enclave. The Enclave were the villains from Fallout 2 and Fallout 3. Like the Brotherhood, they were an advanced post-war society, but while the Brotherhood was composed of members of the US military who survived the war and formed a pseudo-religious order that wandered the Wasteland "recovering" - really, confiscating - pre-war technology, the Enclave was composed of high-ranking government officials and elites who had been pulling the strings even in pre-war America. The Enclave's East Coast branch got wiped out at the end of Fallout 3 by the Brotherhood in Washington DC and another group was destroyed on the West Coast in Fallout 2, but clearly that wasn't all of them because that was a very LARGE mountain facility Wilzig escaped from. And it was strongly implied that Barb was Enclave as well; you might have noticed some dark faceless figure in the gallery above sent her instructions via her Pip-Boy watch during that corporate meeting she then "refocused" after it started to go off the rails. Which implies even Vault-Tec was just catspaws of the Enclave. (Just guessing, that was never connected in the game, but Barb was absolutely as ruthless as the Enclave always was...they made the Brotherhood look like Boy Scouts.) FWIW.
@@quozzel2 Wilzig was also apparently involved in the creation of Vault-Tec Plan D, "I was surprised it wasn't more popular". So it seems he was around before the bombs fell and was working with or for Vault-Tec even though in the present he appears to be with The Enclave.

Wow impressive reaction series you caught a lot, more than almost anyone I've seen react to it who isn't familiar with the games.... The games provide a lot of backstory and different perspectives starting in a variety of places and times. The great thing about the easter eggs in the show is that they are not necessary for you to get because of how seamlessly they are thrown in. Some are obvious, like Nuka-cola of course, but some are very subtle. There are some characters in the show who are in the games, but I certainly wouldn't spoil that for you. The only semi-spoiler I might give you although you might have figured this out already is if you watch the end credits very very closely for each episode... That tells you where the next episode will be located. That applies to Every episode of the season *uhem the finale*.
Dad swallowed the Vault-Tec Cool Aid and the bucket. I can't wait for season 2. Was Coop being played by his wife? I would have preferred if the show had used the brain bots in the game as they are more imposing. The city at the end is New Vegas. This show got me started playing Fallout 3 and now Fallout London.
One of the best parts of this show is that Lucy is very similar to the game protagonists that you play in the various games. Glad you liked the show! War never changes. Before playing you could maybe react to the 1st 2 Fallout intros, since you are unlikely to ever play those games.
Every time I watch it, I find something new. Last time it was the parallel between Bret telling Norm "we're all cowards" and how he said "I'm too chicken" to Lucy that finally prompts Norm to find the truth. This time it's the fact that Lucy shot her mom the same way Ghoul had to shoot Roger, completing the lesson of that episode.
There were a lot of wicked experiments going on in vaults. In Fallout 4 there was one where they were going to fill with wealthy people, overcrowd them and take away their privilege. Then they planned to install an antigovernmental, know-nothing anarchist as the Overseer. New Vegas had one where they made the occupants think that they had to "elect" an Overseer to sacrifice under the implied threat of killing everyone. It ended badly. lol
Aisha, I enjoyed your Fallout reaction videos. I agree that they did a great job of resolving a lot of the mysteries. I liked how they switched between Lucy and Norm as they were learning the truth about their dad's origins. The show let us know that Vault-Tec was willing to drop the bomb if need be, but I don't think they actually did it. Both in game lore and in the show, I think they were caught by surprise when the Great War kicked off. All two hours of it. I don't know if you paid attention to the end credit scenes in the episodes. Episode 6 showed the radio station featured in episode 7. Episode 7 showed the observatory. Episode 8 showed what looked like ruins of New Vegas. It also showed a billboard advertising Cryo Suites at the TOPS Hotel and Casino, which hints at a way Moldaver might have lasted a couple of hundred years. As for things for season two: Norm has not committed to getting in his dad's pod and exiting the story. He hasn't shown violent tendencies, so I don't think he would attack roomBud. There are other possibilities. I wonder if Max thinks Lucy abandoned him and went with her dad. Or if he thinks Hank forced her go with him back to Vault 33. Will Max lead the Brotherhood of Steel to the vaults he knows are still functioning. Those would be great prizes full of pre-war tech. He knows of at least 2 and maybe 4, if Lucy told him about the triad of vaults 31-32-33. I am looking forward to how the relationship between Coop and Lucy develops. He already seems to have changed from viewing her as a Vault-Tec minion to viewing her as a Vault-Tec victim. Will Lucy realize she grew up watching Cooper Howard movies with her dad? Is New Vegas Hank's destination, or just a waypoint to his final destination? They teased us with the skull of a deathclaw in the final scene. Will we get to see living deathclaws in season 2?
@@artxroyalty Not after the credits, but the scenes during the early credits. Sorry didn't mean to imply after the credits like Marvel likes to do. All of them gave some information, teasers and game fan service. But episodes 6 and 7 showed locations important for the next episode. The credits scene for episode 8 started with the billboard advertising Cryo Suites at the Tops hotel, then pulling back through a street looking like the aftermath of a battle (including a wrecked vertibird) and ending with the Welcome to New Vegas sign outside the main gate. That left a lot of game fans excited for what's next. Last I saw New Vegas, it was a thriving town, not a war ruin. But that was 15 years before the TV show takes place. Lots apparently happened in the meantime.
You should 100% play the games and upload on YT. I would 100% watch. 😊 Enjoyed your thoughts on this series and looking forward to seeing any future shows you react to. I'm still waiting for someone to react to Alias with Jennifer Garner 😭. It's so good! It would be great to see you react to some pilots and then choose what you want to watch from those xx
Been following (and enjoying) your reactions to Arcane and Fallout. As for suggestions: I can highly recommend the Anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. I'm not usually much for Animes but this one's really special and gets you thinking. I noticed a lot of other channels which had previously reacted to Arcane, reacting to this (and vice versa), so folks liking one typically seem to like the other as well.
Great reaction to a great show. Season 2 was greenlit almost immediately after this dropped. This show did more for the lore of the Fallout universe than any game has, and the games are packed with lore. I would recommend playing Fallout 4. It is still one of my favorite games 7 years after its release. This show may have spoiled the opening cinematics of that game, but there is still a lot to discover as that game takes place around the Boston area. I have not played Fallout New Vegas, but I know that game has more in-universe ties to the show.
Watching your reactions has been awesome, a solid sub, looking forward to watching season two with you!! I recommend checking out Dan Bull's SPECIAL Rap for some fallout goodness in song. 😊
Final episode let's go! Now I can talk about it without worrying about spoilers :D I really didn't want his wife to be the bad-guy, I felt so bad for him, but alas it was unavoidable 😔 Rose being the ghoul was so unexpected tho. Yes! I'm also very curious about Lucy's arc in season 2 more than any of them, because while I agree that she's gonna be less hesitant to do what's necessary per say, I wonder if they're actually going to go down the route of completely changing her moral compass. I feel like that's the natural progression, but I'm also curious if they're going to try to remedy the two. Idk which one would be more interesting thematically, but she's definitely my favorite so far. I'm also really looking forward to seeing a proper team-up between the 3 of them and yeah season 2 has been officially greenlit!
@@artxroyalty Omg yeah! I think we're gonna see Maximus struggle a lot internally, I don't think he would ever truly act as an antagonist to Lucy, but who knows.... it's gonna be very interesting to see unfold!
Great reactions! I played FO 1-4 & New Vegas. I'd recommend New Vegas for a few reasons. First, it's geographically in nearly the same area as the series, so you'll get lore reinforcement, see what was there before the series, and a hint at what's to come. Second, FO4 is great, but (IMHO) there are settlement building mechanics that can get in the way of enjoying Fallout as a newcomer. Finally, FO3 would be a fun start. It's the first FPSRPG in the series and set in Washington DC. But I have had problems running it on newer machines. Maybe others could guide you to fixes.
@artxroyalty part of the charm of the Fallout franchise is that they aren't required to answer every question. A lot of those answers get lost to time, so all you're left with are a few best guesses or theories.
I thought they did a great job sticking to the spirit of the games. **Game Spoilers Below** Fallout 1: I bust my ass looking for a "Water Chip" to save the Vault. I bring it back to them. They take it then tell me to get lost because I have changed. Fallout 3 (Before the DLC): I have to enter a chamber flooded with lethal doses of radiation to complete the mission. Fallout 4: I start out looking for my kidnapped son. I end up becoming a Land Baron and nuking my son. All the endings kinda suck. Because war....War never changes.
I got 1-2 for free on the Epic Games Store and they appear to run fine. Personally I've never played them and they obviously look more than a little aged, so you'd have to be alright with that. From what I've heard, they were very good and while the graphics and controls are old, the story would probably still be worth it.
A question I have not seen asked by anyone: Does Lucy carry Monty's child? They consummated the marriage...even though it broke up shortly thereafter. The act was still done. That could make an interesting plot line.
As far as the games go, New Vegas, and Fallout 4 are the way to go. I typically recommend playing 4 first, because while New Vegas is the best in the series so far, if you're not used to the gameplay style, 4 is a much easier way to step into the games for the first time. And I DO highly recommend Fallout 1 and 2, but they are VERY different, as they're pre-Bethesda, so the style and gameplay are entirely different (more point and click, less FPS/3PS)
Did you pick up that Barb's secretary was Betty? Coop calls her that right before Henry shows up. All of the ideas in the meeting have been vaults in the games. The code for the cold fusion was the release date of Fallout 1. The skull at the end is from one of the nastiest monsters in the game series. I will join in with others suggesting FO3 as a good way to start the franchise, though I've liked all of the 7 games I've played. The 8 games are 1, 2, Tactics, 3, New Vegas, 4, Shelter (mobile app), '76 (the one I haven't played) and London. Cheers!
Here's something I haven't seen anyone consider yet. Cooper's wife, Barb...did he already come across in the wasteland? Episode 2, in Filly...the shop keepers partner. She calls her Barv...similar to Barb. Is that Barb? Cooper's wife. I feel like it is because she had prosthetics on for such a minor role. She had speaking lines and they made sure she was noticed. It makes me think there's more to her...especially when they put all that make up on her for that minor role. "I'm tryna eat my beans!"
That’s an interesting take!! I feel Barb might be in that city that Hank pulled up on in that very last scene. Maybe she’s there with Janey, or they’re in hibernation chambers?? Idk, I’m excited to see what they give us…
@artxroyalty yea, too many possibilities. I can't wait until next season. You should watch The Peguin next. The season isn't finished yet but every episode has been phenomenal so far.
I'm surprised Fallout 4 is the one people are pointing to. It's the worst of the modern Fallout games with two exceptions. It has the best companions and it has a building system. Fallout New Vegas is the best, but if you don't want to play the older first two games, I'd just play them in order. Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4. Fallout 76 is good now as well.
It's recommended because it's more polished and have a more modern look. Settlement building is a great distraction if you're into that (I was), but it's not necessary as such. Other than the scripted ones that have some minimum build requirements to complete, a sheltered bed can be enough. With everything, it will likely feel a bit overwhelming, and the building system as such comes with some pains. FO4 exploration value is also the better one imo. I only recommend Fallout New Vegas to hardcore gamers or devoted role players who just want the better and deeper role playing experience. It looks absolutely hideous by today's standards, which may throw many off. Also I kinda disagree with the companions. New Vegas ones had far deeper stories connected to them, whereas for the most part, FO4 ones always felt kinda shallow to me. FO4 had Far Harbor as a damned good DLC. New Vegas DLCs were all top notch wrt "RPG storytelling".
Here is a show recommendation that I think you would highly enjoy It came out in 2023 last year and was probably the best show of the year and it's also a video game adaption of "The Last of Us".

Fallout Lore by the storyteller is great to catch up on the universe
Been following (and enjoying) your reactions to Arcane and Fallout.
As for suggestions: I can highly recommend the Anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. I'm not usually much for Animes but this one's really special and gets you thinking. I noticed a lot of other channels which had previously reacted to Arcane, reacting to this (and vice versa), so folks liking one typically seem to like the other as well.
Oooh thanks for tuning in and dropping some suggestions! I’ll have to look into it to see what it’s talking about!
Thank you! I’ve been on the fence with starting either Fallout 4 or New Vegas, those have been the most recommended!
OOH now that youve finished you gotta watch squircle's analysis vids 👀
@@schnee1 “Why Maximus Sucks at Everything” sold 😅
Operation: Paperclip was a helluva drug.
And that’s putting it lightly 😂
Battlestar Galactica.
Watching your reactions has been awesome, a solid sub, looking forward to watching season two with you!!
I recommend checking out Dan Bull's SPECIAL Rap for some fallout goodness in song. 😊
Thank you so much! Fallout was another great series where I initially thought I’d be lost since I hadn’t played the games. Can’t wait for season 2!
Final episode let's go! Now I can talk about it without worrying about spoilers :D
I really didn't want his wife to be the bad-guy, I felt so bad for him, but alas it was unavoidable 😔 Rose being the ghoul was so unexpected tho.
Lucy is going to be a different beast! I’m also wondering if Maximus is going to become a problem now…👀
@@artxroyalty Omg yeah!
@@D0CI87PC i need to look up some of the gameplay! I’m hoping the graphics still hold up!
@@artxroyalty I was compelled (😉) to do a playthrough after I watched the series. I thought the graphics were still good.
8:33 did they tho? This just means they intended to.
Fair enough 😅
Most people miss the Maximus/Macbeth reference - he who shall be knight hereafter….
It’s me…I’m most people 😅
😂 you think you're going to get answers. How adorable! 😂
Coming back to this now…I still didn’t get all my questions answered 😭
@artxroyalty part of the charm of the Fallout franchise is that they aren't required to answer every question. A lot of those answers get lost to time, so all you're left with are a few best guesses or theories.
I thought they did a great job sticking to the spirit of the games.
**Game Spoilers Below**
Fallout 1: I bust my ass looking for a "Water Chip" to save the Vault.
The wait for season to is going to be long
Looks like we’ll have to occupy ourselves with other great shows in the meantime
Max has no game plan. He goes with the flow.
Lmao I'm learning that
One last thing I forgot to mention.... It is possible that Maximus and Lucy already met as children when they were both in Shady Sands.
Oooooh that's a good point...
1-2 are very different and kinda hard to get running. 3, New Vegas and 4 are pretty good games. There might be 3 and NV remakes on the way.
I got 1-2 for free on the Epic Games Store and they appear to run fine. Personally I've never played them and they obviously look more than a little aged, so you'd have to be alright with that. From what I've heard, they were very good and while the graphics and controls are old, the story would probably still be worth it.
That's what I've been hearing...the people have spoken I suppose lol!
Amazon officially greenlit season 2 earlier this year, yeah.
Rumor has it hitting in (very) late 2025 or 2026.
Fingers crossed for 2025 😅🤞🏾
You know when I first watched this I missed that part where the guy said "Make America great" and I was cracking up when your eyes shifted! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂 caught me off guard!
@@artxroyalty as was I, I said how did I miss that before?
A question I have not seen asked by anyone: Does Lucy carry Monty's child?
They consummated the marriage...even though it broke up shortly thereafter.
The act was still done.
That could make an interesting plot line.
Oh I hope not 😅
If you havent seen Invincible you should check it out. I feel like you would really like it
As far as the games go, New Vegas, and Fallout 4 are the way to go.
Oooh those are the two ppl have been recommending the most. Looks like I’ll have to check those out!! Thanks!
@@artxroyalty Sure thing! And yeah, there's a reason there is such a big consensus for those two. You're gonna love them!
Cheers!
I did! It’s crazy how all of this tied into each other. What a rollercoaster!
You didn’t finish the credits
@@SmokinDroFrayser wait…there was a post credit!?
Good to know 😅 maybe I’ll watch a little gameplay, see which one appeals to me more
@@artxroyalty Fallout New Vegas is definitely the best one.
Fallout 4 is the perfect game for someone who's new to the franchise.
Here is a show recommendation that I think you would highly enjoy It came out in 2023 last year and was probably the best show of the year and it's also a video game adaption of "The Last of Us".
I LOVED THE LAST OF US!! Definitely doing s2 here in the channel!
@@artxroyalty Looking forward to it!
