Absolutely superb! Aren't these pieces of beautifully restored and maintained engineering a joy to watch so artistically captured by your skills ? Thank you so much, most enjoyable viewing.
Such a stunning sight seeing the trains passing at the Aberglaslyn pass, amazing video mate, love these lines, such beautiful scenery and even more beautiful engines.
great video you must of been dashing around like a mad man trying to get to next location. really liked seeing the darjeeling loco on a train looks very smart. thanks for sharing
Wow what a sight it must have been to see a couple of triple headers! If only this could happen all the time! At least the crews were nice enough to give a wave at the start :)
+EastLancashireDan61994 All of the staff are nice! Always waving! Thanks for watching! Yes we wish it happened more, there is a Snowdonian Limited running in June :)
This is Wales. But from Manchester/Manceinion it's 2 and a half to three hour drive or maybe a bit more by rail to Porthmadog. If you go there people speak to you in Welsh first so it is appreciated if one can learn some phrases.
9:50 isn’t that locomotive from Darjeeling Himalayan Railway ? I have never seen these locomotives with tender on DHR. I’m seeing this locomotive with tender for the first time. 15:29 that coach looks like the ones used on Strasburg Railroad in Pennsylvania
Nice video that is what I call a Narrow gauge railtour Tomorrow is the Great Britain Railtour to Plymouth keep your eyes out for Royal Scot and 44871 I'll be at Kensington Olympia station to film them going through
+Nick Young Hi Nick, DLG's fireman was controlling the crossing and got on just out of the shot - its the reason why they didn't shot off at great speed! Regards, Michael
+RailAdvent He wouldn't be controlling the crossing (it is initiated automatically by a treadle in the track between the points and Cwmorthin Bridge), he'd be holding over the train operated trailable points as the England loco tenders are deemed too light to push the blades across as the leading vehicle (the only such points on the FR are at Tanygrisiau and are heavier rail than those on the WHR). He would have the TOTP cabinet open with handle on the mechanism, hold the points in the reverse position and as soon as Palmerston's tender has passed would put the handle back in the cabinet, lock it up and climb onto DLG as it passed. :)
First or all were did B794(the DHR loco) get that tender from and the DHR loco is actually B794, oh annnnnnd were is B794's rerailing stick P.s nice vid
Thanks for your comment. We are glad you enjoyed the video. We aren't sure where the tender has come from. The DHR Loco runs on a private railway normally so is out of public sight until it comes on a visit. We also don't have any idea of where the rerailing stick is (sorry we aren't much help!) - if you click this link, does it help at all? www.festipedia.org.uk/wiki/Sharp_Stewart_0-4-0ST_No_19
Yep, this was on loan to the Ffestiniog Railway and they used it on 'The Snowdonian' and they also used it at their May Day Weekend (videos are also on our channel). Thanks for watching!
Kashi Kukku Replica of the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes's Jackson & Sharp Parlour Car No 9 "Rangeley", but with larger platform, slightly shorter overall length, full kitchen, dual brakes, and no spinning Pullman Parlour Chairs instead highback chairs that block the windows, hence the larger platform. Owned by the former CEO of Chiltern. The car looks beautiful, especially since the real car is now confined to a museum in Maine, and has been for 25 years.

Thank you very much Henry! Much appreciated. :)

Thank you very much Daniel. The Pass is stunning, especially in the sun. The FFWHR is a great line if you are nearby. Thanks for the comment :)

Sweet a duplex! Too bad I live in the Midwest United States and don't get to see much for steam. Things like this make me wish I lived in England.
Well we do have our downsides (e.g. rain ;) ) thanks for watching.

Nice addition of the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Parlor car. Wonder who owns it now?
I think the Statfold Barn Railway owns it

+TERRY BARTLETT Ah! Enjoy your day, I'm at college, so I'm looking forward to your video! Thanks for watching and kind comments!
What happened at Tanygrisiau? The train seems to leave without the DLGs fireman

so there is a Tan-y-bwlch, but the corris railway also has tan-y-coed, are those 2 places related, or close to each other?
Nope, Tanybwlch is in North Wales, whereas, Tanycoed is in Mid Wales, near Tywyn
ok thank you very much
Wonder if it would suit "His Grace"? 😋
I dont follow lol
@@RailAdventUK I legit forgot I even made that comment.
@@TweetsieRailroader Sorry, RUclips has changed the way comments appear and is now saying i have hundreds to reply to haha

Little Giant will be back in 2021.
Lets hope so!
Where can I buy one of those locomotives? I looked on ebay and amazon and found nothing.
The shop at Porthmadog Harbour Stations has some models on display, so id recommend checking there!
