  • Not changed, not coloured, just your acoustic guitar - louder.
    The new Sonnet line amplifies the natural response of your acoustic instrument capturing every nuance of its tone and your performance.
    Each model has two independent channels, microphone and instrument, with their own EQ and reverb level settings and a host of player-friendly features such as XLR and USB outputs. The addition of Bluetooth audio playback makes them the ideal solution for solo performers or duos.
    These amps are powerful, light and compact, and the built-in tilt-back stand projects the sound for any performance.
    Acoustic guitar virtuoso Jon Gomm was involved in the feature and listening tests throughout the design process. Jon comments, ‘Finally, an amp that can reproduce the full spectrum of sound of acoustic instruments.’ ‘It's my voice, just louder.’ ‘All I can hear is my sound.’ Having used many different acoustic amps throughout his career Jon said, ‘Every other amp changes me, squashes me, confines me, they just can't cope. I'd given up on acoustic amps, until I heard the Sonnet.’
    Natural Sound:
    Hear the natural tone of your acoustic instrument through the unique Natural 60 and Natural 120 speaker. The essence of a natural acoustic tone is delivered by the custom voiced Natural speaker. Hear the clarity and authenticity of your acoustic tone the way nature intended.
    Multi-input: microphone, instrument, Bluetooth, Line In | 4 simultaneous inputs:
    Instrument and vocal microphone inputs, MP3/Line In, and Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio playback. All 4 inputs can be used at once for ultimate versatility.

    Jon gomms original performance of passion flower is so epic that Jon gomm can't even replicate it.

    • @cazadorzxz
      @cazadorzxz 3 года назад +11

      I think that replicating the sound from the original video, when if i`m not mistaken all the other performances are live, or like in this case, a collaboration to show a new amp, will be imposible. Actually you can hear how the low tones, the guitar pedals, even the strings and the guitar (and obviosly the mix) are not the same, so i doubt that he cant replicate it, at least not without the same equipment and mix; feel more like there is just a bunch of different variables to get that astonishing sound form the original video

      Not trying to replicate oneself maybe a form of self respect? But your right, they miked some amps doused in reverb and delay. Prefer the older version to. All the best for jon, hope they pay you well.

    It's so weird how hard they nailed the sound/mix so perfectly in the original video. This is obviously still outstandingly beautiful, but theres just something about the warmth you hear in that first famous video. So glad I've rediscovered Jon, it's been years and I needed his music tonight.

      So true. There are some great recordings out there, this is one, but the original mix was perfect. Warm, full, the harmonics came through real strong.. voice was set perfect in the mix.

    Is this supposed to be an advert for the amp?! It sounds terrible compared to the original live recording that's on RUclips. It's muddy, drenched in WAY too much reverb, and with certain frequencies almost inaudible? The balance is awful. Wow, if this is the best the Sonnet 60 can do, count me out 👍

    For all the bragging in the description of these amps being some new coming for acoustic guitars, I wasn't very impressed by may of the low ranges. Especially when he is tapping some of the lower notes, they sound quite thin and weak (they weren't so bad when they were plucked). Perhaps this was intentional, but I much prefer the strong bass you hear in some of Jon's other videos. This song is beautiful and thoughtful, but at the end of the day most of this video is an ad, and it didn't do very well IMO. Jon Gomm did amazing of course tho. Couldn't find a better showman for this kind of performance in another 100 years.
