I paddle together with the motor, good for health and faster, like motor assist cycling.

I do the same, you can cover good ground and it's great fun as well !

I have the throttle between my legs, near by the sounder, it is better for your paddle hand.😎

Could you do a comparison between the bixpy and torqueedo?

Each system has it's strengths for sure, both are easy to set up on the kayak however the rudder mounted Bixpy system is the simplest and tidiest system I have yet to come across taking away the need to do any drilling of the deck and if using the Navigator rudder there is also no need for an anti kick up cord when using reverse which is a big plus as the less rigging required the better in my book when it comes to water activities (less to go wrong or cause a snag) - Taking price out of the equation and from my own experience of using both I think the Torqeedo with it's superior torque is hard to beat if your intention is to use your motor for touring to cover distance and battle wind and wave - on the other hand for slower trolling speeds used when angling the quieter Bixpy motor with it's remote throttle allowing for a clutter free deck space (important when fishing) would for me be the better system and if you're happy to do paddle assisted motoring the Bixpy can cover good ground as well - Both motors have their strengths - I hope this answers your question :-)

perfect. I've been heavily leaning toward the Bixpy. Honestly my only concern is that they have taken years to get this product out and it just makes me wonder about the stability of the organization. It also seems like it could be a little fragile... I'm curious to see how these Gen 1 Bixpy units hold up over the next 6 months.

No problem, the Bixpy is a nice unit alright, it seems to be good quality and well engineered but of course as you say time will be the best test for it as to how it holds up in the market place - personally I have found the company excellent to deal with so far, very helpful and keen for feedback which is all positive....

i use only the Motor like rudder, you change your direccion on a dime, for reverse driving I use a extra bungee to fix the Motor.

Yes, that's the best way to set up the motor if you want maximum steering sensitivity alright, if you want the option of paddling without the motor then it's also nice to leave the rudder set up - you sacrifice some maneuverability but it's sometimes nice to paddle just with the rudder as well - lot's of options :-)

Easily 8km/hr and would probably get higher in more ideal conditions :-)
