I Installed a transducer under my Tackle Pod and yes you are correct water will get inside and will fill so I went to Home Depot and bought a Tube of Boat Marine Adhesive and caulked then filled the bath tub to test it, Problem Solved
I hope the seat can be "independent" and much higher, maybe it`s not very safe at rought time but I just want to have a good time when it`s calm. I don`t understant why viking don`t have those "American style" kayak.
Where the paddle is stored, does it get in the way of the central rod holders. I'd bait fish from those flush mounted rod holders, and am worried the paddle will get in the way. Many thanks
Hi mate yes i do car top it and its a lot lighter than say the ocean kayak. The hardiest thing is just getting the balance, if you lift from the ground, but ive started to just slide it on from the back..Yes i live in stoke.
Thanks for your help, I thought I recognised the accent, I live in Hartshill. I have just ordered one off Manchester canoes, so roll on end of lockdown 😊
@@andywilliams1907 Ahh cool only a couple mile from me.. They are brill at Manchester group i get all my gear from them, wont go wrong with the viking mate, ive used a lot of diffrent kayaks and its the best ive used so far..
Yeah, I have had a trident 13, and currently own an old town predator 13 (great on Rudyard) and a pescador pro 10 for canals and short trips. But I'll be selling the old town now to make way for the profish.
andy williams Great list of kayaks if can load your predictor and your trident you will have no problems with the Viking yes it’s longer but a little lighter.
Hi mate, any idea what the other 2 brass inserts are for on the side of kayak just behind the seat? I've got the same kayak but I'm fucked if I know lol

Hi Chris..No mate had no problems, the only problem i had was the anchor system that's why i pinned it. Hope this helps..Justin
@@JustinWood It did. I bought one.
When you mention the weight, is that with or without the pod in the center? Viking site mentions the weight also but doesn't say with/without
Without the pod but the pod is not heavy though.
Does the tackle pod come with it or is that extra
Comes with this one the reload just not the 400 version
Lens Outdoors thanks. After much deliberation I’m going to go with the reload.
Do you car top this kayak? If so how easy is it. Also, are you from Stoke?
