i am asian and grew up in a household that didn’t hug much or say “i love you” so i understand the guys’ point of view of 3% physical touch, but my bf’s main love language is physical touch. it doesn’t mean that there has to be a cuddly session or pda 24/7.
he told me that a time he remembers is when he was cooking in the kitchen and I came to look at what he was doing and i simply put my hand on his back. i didn’t hug him or kiss him but he said he felt a wave of comfort and the “this is home” feeling….i just thought the kitchen was too small and i was trying to move him out the way 🤣

I literally LOL'd 😂 but it's true though! some guys are more sensitive to touch! even in little ways!

I was also not hugged a lot or told that they love me, but my main i physical touch and i hate telling people i love them, it freaks me out. it's really interesting how things turn out

@@adara4635 same here! our family doesn't say ''ily'' outloud, at all, tried it recently with my mom and we all died inside lmao. But for some reason every since I was a child I loved hugs, even though my family isn't the hugging type, but they made an exception for hugging me and not my sister who always hated it, so now I'm a physical touch lover who can't stand words like "ily" or compliments lmao. It's always interesting to see how within a family the prefrences are also so different

I didn't used to understand touch too, esp bc I didn't grow up with a snuggly family (we just didn't express ourselves that way)... but getting more honest with myself and understanding myself more, I realized that I love it a lot lol. Maybe bc I lacked it a lot growing up! Not necessarily in a sensual or romantic way, but I feel like I can express my comfortableness with someone, for example when I'm chatting with someone, I hold their arm or pat them on the back, and I love giving hugs too. Recently when congratulating friends or making bad jokes ill shake my friend's hand to show my sincerity. Sometimes I wish that I had someone to hug after work for 30 seconds so that I can recharge and reset my mind 😆 but my top is usually words if affirmation too 🥰

maybe is a culture thing, but here in Brazil it's super normal to show affection in public, small gestures like holding hands, hug each other or even kissing

Even with friends this could be helpful. I did the test with my bestie and it made us see each other clearly. She became more cautious with being touchy and clingy would ask me if it’s okay to touch. Instead of her thinking that I see her weird for being overly touchy she now understands it’s not my language. I do enjoy little touches but her style is puppy excited attacks lol

I grew up in a household where love is expressed through acts of service and not really words of affirmation or physical touch. Like my parents will go to the end of worlds for me but dont really express their love openly and i think im the same. Honestly i never thought they dont love me bc they truly do. I wonder what my love language is lol will take the test soon

I am very surprised Harry and Peniel didn't score touch very high. Usually guys are more physical in love language, BUT a guy having words of affirmation as their love language is also not super surprising. I've totally observed this a lot more bc usually it's the girls who need words of affirmation, but I've noticed some guys do too. but also what peniel said about being a celebrity and PDA isn't as much of a want...kind of makes sense though it is sad haha

Learning someone Love Language isn't always the easiest but it's good to have an understanding

I love learning about love languages! It's so interesting! I think for myself, I definitely need words of affirmation...sometimes quality time too (but not really bc I'm an introvert and like my own time haha) but I also noticed growing into adulthood, I really love touch (hugs especially) bc there's just something comforting and reassuring about it. When I was a kid/teen, growing up, a lot of my friends were super touchy and would surprise me with hugs. My family wasn't super affectionate that way, maybe once in awhile and so I wasn't used to it growing up and would feel weird and tense lol. Now, as an adult navigating life, (maybe it's the hardships you face) but hugs mean a lot from the people I am close to. haha

I'm like a cat or a puppy when it comes to pda. I love when a loved one rubs my back/arms and plays with my hair. when i was a child, the easiest to put me to sleep was to caress my face and touch my hair/head. it was so relaxing lol
