- Take a look behind-the-scenes to see how Sonos created its wireless subwoofer. The Sonos SUB is a stunningly designed wireless subwoofer that takes the whole Sonos Wireless HiFi System one seismic step closer to the full body experience music was meant to be.
I recently bought 5.1 system and wanted to know how the sub works. This thing is loud, trust me the vibration canceling technology does not risk the bass. It's astonishing how the subwoofer gets the lows.

I love the Sonos sub I have 2 in my home along with a ton of other Sonos speakers. They're awesome

My sub has stopped working, the mains lead got very hot and when I unplugged it got a electronic shock of the cable.

the problem with beauty is that it's in the eye of the beholder. i happen to like the sonos sub 3 design and it works with my daycore. but i can see that others may not. the traditional design of a cube is so ingrained into our minds that it becomes invisible and as such works with all styles. risky move i say but one that may payoff for sonos.
May pay off? This video is 10 years old and the sub is a huge success
It works for Sonos because it's a closed system and its customers don't have a choice of subwoofers-yet it was a missing component.

Lower frequencies are omnidirectional, so it doesn't matter where you mount it in the room... At least not usually :)
My Sono sub does not want to pair anymore with my Play Bar and is only 1 year old
Sonos you need to design a slightly smaller and cheaper sub now.
There is one in the works. There was a "leak" in the app that shows a mini sub.

Yes you can.
There is no need. One is very powerful, but we tried with two. Very groundbreaking sound. Did it with the playbar + 2x Play 5.

Daniel Fl. Dual subs is always better than one no matter what because you get a flatter sound. It also removes in-room peaks and nulls.

Cancel the vibration? They will also cancel the sound waves that way so you do not get double output at all.
It is true. I have sol this product. It's the only subwoofer that actually cancels vibrations. Can you get stronger subs, yes. But this is very unique. Go out to a store and listen to it. I'm impressed even after 5 years.
Not logical. The subs face each other and have the same phase, so they push/pull air with double strength.
they face each other so that their movement is in opposite directions, but their output is combined.

It really is impressive how much it cancels out vibration, it doesn’t seem logical but go listen to it in a store or something

My Sonos SUB is dead im outside of warranty by 9 months. High quality! Not. All it can be used for is a door stop I’m very disappointed.
Yes I am disappointed with this sub to it way to overpriced you can buy a better sound bar and sub for the same price and I am very disappointed with the sonos roam it Is nor very loud and it is almost £200 and I have use jbl and they are way better the jbl flip 4 and 5 is way better than the sonos roam and the sonos sound bars do not sound like they should for the price

For 600 bucks I would rather get a hsu or Svs subwoofer that plays a lot lower than this rip off sub. While it sounds good for 600 it’s not worth it
It's not worth it to you and that's OK. However, the Sonos reproduce a good amount of bass for the size and the built in wireless and DSP gives you far more placement flexibility than HSU or SVS. Sonos is for folks that want simplicity and not necessarily the complications of an audiophile system.
@@chewsir totally agree with you bro i use to have a klipsh 10 inch subwoofer together with the bose acustimass 6 and this sub really really sounds deep and amazing im not telling that the klipsch sub is bad but it has distorsion on high volume and sound not that deep as the sonos sub the sonos sub will not breaks ur glass😂😂but you can feel it in your chest on high volume it doesnt have any distorsion at all i hope this will last for years happy holidays to all
Not worth it to you. Everyone’s space is configured differently. It works best for the some spaces … it’s not a “rip off”
