Kujo's biggest mistake was not taking Ren's 50/50 offer, Kujo was moaning about doing shit jobs and finding it hard to find time for his music. Ren offered the olive branch that was his chance for his music career to take off. As Em said: "Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment Would you capture it or just let it slip?" Kujo let it slip.
I absolutely agree. It would have been a win-win … and likely a lot more earnings potential than what he was hoping to get from this dispute. But I bet his lawyer told him not to. The lawyer only gets paid based on what they can get out of Ren from Sick Boi, not an unrelated project. It’s all a money game 💰
Unfortunately I don't think you've visited his IG page. There is a lot of hate being spewed and some of it is honestly disgusting. It taints the community and it taints Ren's image.

@@helenjarvis7755 Oh, I know, I've been following Ren for a long time now, I didn't mean to say he's responsible for that behaviour, just that the community the OP mentioned, while great for the most part (and I am a proud member of it and am neck deep in it), has a lot of members that have been anything but gracious on his page. This denegrates the image of said community. I just can't for the life of me comprehend how those people think Ren would ever condone that behaviour. But the truth is that even though Ren can't be held accountable for it, people looking from the outside, that might not be a part of this community, could very well be put off an artist based on what they're seeing its fanbase do. This is something we see in fandoms of major artists as well. It's just a bad look all around.
All the same, he won’t be able to keep this situation out of the eyes of DJs and other musicians. Pulling this kind of thing is sealing his own fate. Once artists know that someone is stealing beats and then trying to profit off of it they get black listed pretty fast.
@@somuchpepperyes fair enough bad comments don't help A lot of fans follow from a distance and are only half informed Or flat out trolls and not really fans
Imagine stealing a sample and selling it within your own beat and then calling Ren dishonest and a liar. Kujo should count himself lucky that he's not being sued for stealing a sample
I mean it really all should go back to this shouldn't it. And what "contract" did Ren supposedly breach anyway? Didn't he purchase a license for unlimited use (no more than 1 video, however)? Were there contracts drawn up where all parties involved with the licensing of some beat get a monetary percentage of any master works created using said beats? Who knows...
I HOPE Ren buys the sample from the Bulgarian Choir... and uses it on Sick Boi pt 1.5 !!!! Edit: Better yet... get a license for the Bulgarian Choir sample kujo stole... use it in the new Sick Boi... then go after Kujo to Take Down his sick boi beat with the stolen sample!!!
I think the thing everyone is missing.. is that Kujo will get all his owed royalties, back dated from release date.. and he will continue to receive a share of the royalties going forward BUT Ren has pulled the song from ALL streaming platforms.. thus there will be limited to no way to make any further royalties on that song going forward… once Ren upload the new version, with no input from Kujo, Kujo will not be liable to receive anything from that song… so after saying no to the best deal he might have EVER gotten (the 50% split on a new song) he now is also not going to earn future revenue on the old song.. And if his lawyer advised him to turn that offer down.. then he should immediately get rid of that lawyer and sue them for loss of future earnings…. Just saying..
Kujo is not owed any Royalties on Ren's song - Ren paid for the beat for a 1 off price for unlimited usage. Kujo is owed the Publishing fee by the Publishers, which is entirely separate to Ren
He should have gotten a new lawyer just for not acknowledging that the contract says that he can't sell a song w/ samples that haven't been cleared. How is that part even being debated?
I’ve looked at almost everything I can find about Ren back to 2014, including articles he has written. There’s a consistency that shows me his character, thoughtfulness, and integrity throughout. It hurts to watch this happen.

While I'd love to watch the complete vid, I've seen a few already going over Ren's video. Big props for caring about the situation and covering it thoroughly
It is really long, but it explains the technical bits about the music industry beautifully. It makes it even more clear how absolutely stupid and wrong this whole thing has been.
Kujo’s lawyer seemed to be representing BeatStars interests, not Kujo’s interests. It’s likely why Kujo was instructed not to speak in the meeting and why he turned down the exceedingly generous offer from Ren to create a new song with a 50/50 split. The lawyers don’t get anything out of that deal. But because they didn’t negotiate in good faith, Ren taking a nuclear course of action means no future earnings. Brilliant. I don’t think they saw that coming. But I think it’s for the best. Imagine how many views they lost by keeping the video blocked during negotiations! The whole situation was so poorly managed. This reaction was great! Very thorough and I appreciated your personal insights. I agree that Ren tried to resolved this situation amicably SO many times. The mistake Kujo made was not going directly to Ren right from the beginning. Ren has always been open and transparent, so him taking this situation public is not surprising. And he provided the receipts! It will hopefully help other artists / producers in the future. I’m excited for the #KujoBeatDown track! And it’s brilliant to do an anniversary re-release of a brand new version of Sick Boi! The original CDs will become collectors items 💿
Honestly I think the new version of Sick Boi will be better and end up being the preferred version cause it doesn’t involve Kujo. I had a quick listen to some of the beat on Kujo’s channel and personally I think it’s really lacking. To me some of the things that made Sick Boi so fire (aside from the lyrics of course) were added by Ren like the grunting and the fast guitar strumming. And then of course the sample. If you take that away, the beat doesn’t seem all that special anymore. I’m not saying it’s bad or that Kujo can’t produce anything good, but I think Ren can do better. To me at least it sounds like he turned the beat from good (and a lot of that was due to the sample) into fire. So if you imagine keeping the parts Ren added and potentially actually licensing the choir sample, it’s already more than halfway there imo. But we shall see I guess. In the meantime we get Kujo Beat Down and I have no doubt whatsoever that it’s going to be fire 🔥
What I don't understand is in one of the messages that Ren posted, Kujo states his lawyer is actually from Beatstars. Why are they representing him when he uploaded a beat with a stolen sample on it to their platform when that is not accepted at Beatstars. Kujo broke their rules, but they are now representing him through their lawyers.
Legal council might be something Beatstars just automatically offer its beat makers, or it might just be something kujobeats just said to intimidate Ren.
@cathywethington5913 yet he broke their contract laws by submitting a beat with a stolen sample in it so I don't understand why they would be willing to defend that.
They might be contractually obligated to until it's proven stolen... Then they will turn around and sue Kujo for their liabilities to recover any losses. Kujo thinks he is gonna get a big check and but it will be a reality check and he'll be destroyed 😂
The fact that Kujo complains about having to work a dead end job but turns down that deal with REN to make a new song is insanity! I’m so glad I watched this because I watched rens video and I paused and read EVERYTHING and I’m just a fan. I had no idea this much stuff goes into making and distributing a song so kinda got the gist of what was going on but have a lot more clarity with your explanation so thanks. I know it turned into a very long video but every minute was worth a watch
In germany we would call Ren "Ehrenmann". (eng. close to: man of honor) Im impressed, how long Ren stays nice and calm, offers produktiv solution after solution and Kujo not even have the spine, talking to Ren directly, i.r.l. face to face? I love to see, how strong Rens mindset and principles got, over a quite long period of his lifetime suffering, illnis, therapy and healing......from such damaged, almost broken From the bottom of my heart, i can feel rens solid, constructiv personality helping him a lot dealing with general proplems and solfing them even on an interpersonel level. Such a nice human being and how ironic , off all the artists, producers what ever coud buy this beatsample, is Ren, to make a song about greed how this effects people in, of course diffrent circumstances but realy close to what happen here between Kujo and Ren..... Is this only me , or Kujo did listen to Rens song and remember that later, cause at first he realy like his music, like he said at first, maybe litle brokeymokey, there where this people in this how making tha money. Aaaaaand he foud: "Like in Sickboy, but on an more........ in a much shittier, very personal level, way." So Ren brainwashed Kujo, without knowing or planing..... Just kidding! But me and some of my friends, laughing our asses of, imagine this abbout kujos very own rabbithole of Rens music. Maybe more like a ratmaze...... However..... Much love to all supporters of Ren and all brothers and sisters in spirit, follow his journey🖤
Ren might be my favorite current artist. Not just for his skill with music, which is great, but also for his character and behaviour as a person. He tries hard to be good and do the right things. Can't wait to hear this tune next week. Should be a banger.
@@Gorgana68totally classic narcissist sociopath. The reason he was told to sit still and shut up by his lawyer (like a child), is because the lawyer (also working for beatstars) will have requested all information, full comms disclosure that Kujo had with Ren. That will include his gf's bs post about a fabricated contract section. The lawyer will then have seen the absolute shitstorm and figured out Kujo was an "untrustworthy and unreliable witness" in the dock. Lawyer would then have done and said "lawyery stuff" in front of Kujo with the conference call with Ren. This then impresses the narcissist because he's obviously stupid, while buying lawyer some time to piece it all together on the spot. It wouldn't surprise me if Kujo gets all his beats back catalogue taken down and banned from Beatstars. This is as massively damaging to them as it is Ren. Kujo may find he's facing charges against him for copyfraud aswell as breach of contract. They may even go through his beats and see which have stolen samples. That may lead to an individual number of beats breach of contract charges. If Kujobeats has 500 beats on Beatstars and 400 of them have stolen uncleared samples in them - that's 400 breach of contract charges and 400 charges of copyfraud. With each charge potentially carrying an individual compensation amount set by the court. Then you've got slander, future loss of earnings, damage to reputation, fraud, extortion, threats of violence by a personally connected person (gf).... That's just on Ren's side. Then you've got the Beatstars side. If they decide to pursue damages and potential loss of earnings, damage to reputation....? Ouch! Not only has Whojobeats opened up a can of worms but it was also a can of Whoopass... And he was staring straight at it as he took the lid off. This isn't going to go well for Kujobeats, it's going to go sideways, quickly.
I didn't know anything about this situation so I watched your reaction and the full video, Anthony. I've heard of Ren but I didn't really know much about him, but watching him in this video he comes across as a really lovely, genuine, honest guy, trying to deal with a situation that should never have happened. He's been through so much health-wise, so kudos to him. Thanks for the really interesting breakdown and explanations in this video, Anthony.
Get to know Ren through his music, he is a class act, in so many ways. Us RENegades will defend him to the death. He is an enigma. To be protected. I'm 54, haven't seen an artist this unique in donkeys years. To be independant is the goal for artists, it also spells freedom.
I am so happy to see the reaction community come together and have Rens back like this. It's kind of emotional watching everyone rally around him. So many people from so many different backgrounds and from literally all over the globe. He tries to do so much good and make a positive impact on the world, it sucks to see him upset and frustrated and stressed. I hope some good can come out of all this. I am so pumped for Thursday though, that track is going to be 🔥
Kujo refusing to make a new song with Ren tells me everything I need to know about him as a person, as an artist, and as a businessman. And I'm not impressed by what it says. Really great to hear your thoughts on all this. Thank you for putting so much time into doing it, it's really interesting so far. You're always good at being as neutral as possible (like with the hater interview) but also calling out bad behaviour and inconsistency.
Exactly this! An artist with 3.3K followers turning down a 50/50 collab with an artist with 1.5M? Artists pay for this and Ren offered it over a STOLEN beat to still try and lift him up. Deplorable.
I don't even know anything about publishing music, and this is making me frustrated and anxious! But your face when Kujo turned down the deal cracked me up 🤣
Thank you for adding your commentary to this. I love Ren, the artist. But, I couldn't have more respect for him as person after seeing his handling of the situation. AND, I'm absolutely loving that he is taking musical revenge!
Im thinking that somebody be seeing Rens kindness as a weakness. Which some find out the hard way that kindness is not always a weakness. Just sometimes the kindness could be your only way out and if you challange it you see that the person that is being kind is actaully the opposite of weak.
Hope this even gives more steam, he's in my top 5 favorite rapper but my favorite artist of all time. Hope is the name I know him by and hope is what I have for more people to find this amazing young man. Bless you Ren and thank you AR for putting the time in.
WE RIDE AT DAWN!!!!!! Thursday is going to be epic!!!! Love y’all love Ren and loving our beautiful community that loves and respects real genuine artist/ people! 💛🌻🎶🐷
Ren is a VERY respectful being, even little nobody me has been able to speak to Ren directly when I had an issue w/an order. He could have ignored me or had someone else respond to me, but he & Connor both communicated directly w/me, so Kujo could have sorted it out immediately when the song dropped, he instead decided to try to turn the net against Ren, & that ain't happenin'!!
Thank you for sharing!!! Agree!!! This Kujo person feels like a psychological predator/ severe narcissist,SAD for our brother/ Ren!!!😮 Much love to you Ren!!!🫶🫶🫶💛💜💚🫂🫂🫂☮️🌹
This is just like the Parable of the Drowning Man, where the man prays for God to save him. He turns down multiple offers from people in boats trying to save him by telling them no thank you, God is going to save me. When he gets to heaven, he asks God why he didn't save him, and God says, I sent you all those boats to save you and you said no. 🤦♀
I think you may be surprised about the diss track. Yes, it's different from the King Dotta situation, but Ren is not different. Even frustrated and angry, he is Ren. I believe it will be epic AND uplifting. I know, I know, I'm a freaking Pollyanna, and I may eat those words. But I don't think so.
I really think Ren has handled this very professionally and has been way more patient and respectful than I’d ever be!! Like you I’d of told him off. ✌🏻
You have to read the rest of the contract paragraph that you showed at 1:35:45. The producer states there are no samples but additionally all liabilities transfer to the licensee. This has got to be why they haven't backed off. Great reaction, loved hearing your take on it. Can't wait for September 5th!!
Lawyers can probably argue either way with how the contract is written, which in itself is problematic. From what I can gather, and I am no lawyer: Its on the producer to clearly state if there are samples in the track and if so they have to note if the samples were approved and cleared properly. In this case it is unclear if the samples were noted originally and whether or not they were noted if it was approved to use. That part never really was clearly explained or shown. If it was noted clearly originally, even if the sample was NOT approved, per the contract then the liability and cost of getting it approved would then fall to the licensee. So everything kinda depends on what the original selling contract and information was on the track and if it was noted that there was a sample and if it was approved for use or not. My, very unprofessional, guess is that the people who own the Bulgarian sample are the ones looking for the 3k and 25% master split money for the use of it. They are probably going after Kujo / Beatstars as they are the point of origin who originally sold the unapproved / unlicensed sample. So in turn, Beatstars lawyer is backing Kujo to go get the money from Ren using that last clause in the contract as their justification to do so. So they in turn can pay off their oopsie with who owns the Bulgarian sample.
What I conclude of the last paragraph (also not a lawyer) is that the licensee has to pay only if the sample is approved, which it was not. The licensee also is liable if they know about the use of said (not approved) sample (“Knowledge by Licensee”). Ren didn’t know. However contracts like this shouldn’t be open to interpretation, they should be clear as day. Unfortunately fairness goes out the window in legal battles.
Was looking for this comment. When i read that, I did wonder what the specifics are regarding who knew what from the start and what was approved or not, because it's still not clear who is ultimately responsible based on that excerpt.
Thanks for your thorough reaction to this input. Kujo totally missed the boat on this one! Sucks to see Ren having to go through this but he is handling it in an amazing way, true to his character. Can’t wait for Kujo Beat Down 💜💜
I swear, the more times I hear the story the less I understand how it all went from Kujo stealing a sample and the owners going “oi that’s ours!” to Kujo and his attorney demanding money from Ren as if he was the thief. It’s like there’s a huge gap and I suspect it’s between Kujo’s ears 👀 Now I am just very impatiently waiting for Kujo Beat Down 🔥
now we all seen the beatstars terms and conditions contract and seen the receipt for the unlimited licence then 100% nailed on NOT RENS PROBLEM! He was far too nice about this, like you AR i would not have been as accomodating as ren was (but thats because he is just a nice guy). Great video dude, as a fellow musician who has probably tried to navigate this sort of thing as well, it confirms my (uneducated) view of the whole situation, and im sure ren would appreciate the support (and confirmation in his own mind) of the situation. And wow you stunned me by tracknaming other tracks that have used the bulgarian choir sample, i checked them both out, really cool for you to remember those! It will be interesting as AI improves whether it can replace people (you said beatstars doesnt check anything anyway) and scan beats/samples automatically to highlight potential copyright issues so artists are at least aware!
@RealRedBullVodkaGod ...Lol...Hope you never get divorced, because you'll find out the hard way !...Something tells me you might just be a lawyer. What's the old joke, "What do you call 1000 lawyers on the bottom of the ocean" ...."A good start" !
@RealRedBullVodkaGod ...We're not talking about Tyranny here are we though. We are talking about every day disputes, most of which can be sorted out amicably if people would only come together sensibly and talk through situations, they could be sorted without the ridiculous costs involved with lawyers that can ruin lives.
Ren bought that "beat" because of the sample. That sample makes the beat. I wouldn't be surprised if Ren has cleared the sample with the creators and adding a new beat to it.
When REN did all the beginning parts. He was not huge. He was indie and small. He grew as SickBoi album came out. He got number 1 charts. The beginning of this was all Ren being honest and doing the right thing. Shows how honest he is. This is why Ren has the following he does. We all know he a good guy. He mans up to mistakes. Bully stole a Bulgarian beat. Which actually goes against that contract. Karma going to deal with the bullies. Can not wait for Ren song. I really hope you react to that as well.
Thank you for taking the time to go through this. Ren mentioned you in his explanation so I was interested in your take. I think a lot of people who didn’t fully understand the situation can learn a lot from your thorough examination of the issue. 💜
Beatstars needs to ban leasing of beats that contain uncleared samples because the beatmakers don't have rights to the beat they are leasing themselves so it makes every beat lease thst contains an uncleared sample a straight scam
That was really, really helpful with your added explanations about ID, licenses etc - really appreciate you taking so much time to cover this. But the real icing on the cake wsx you wetting yourself with glee at the prospect of Ren taking off the gloves & throwing a battle rap - to someone who can't even rap back😂🤣
it's nuts. i compared it to a sculptor buying an armature from someone, sculpting over it, molding it, casting it, painting it, selling it, then the armature maker wanting a cut when it was never in the original deal.
I find it interesting that KUJO was being represented by a lawyer that works for Beatstars. I can understand Beatstars providing a lawyer to chase down the share of the publishing that hadn’t been paid, but what’s the lawyer’s incentive to get so greedy, I wonder. Is he just soaking up hourly fees from Beatstars, or is he somehow entitled to a share of what he wins for KUJO? It definitely would be interesting to hear from Beatstars’ CEO regarding what he thinks about how this was handled. It seems like the lawyers are the only ones who came out ahead in all this.
Really appreciate the thoughtful analysis. Your reactions are great imo bc they are thoughtful, you don’t always say it’s amazing when you don’t think it is just bc you like the artist. And for that reason I trust your take on this so much.
Thank you for covering this, AR. Well done, too. I have a better understanding now. Loved your face when you heard REN’s creative offer to Kujo! I may not have ever been in the business, but any body in their right mind would have taken Ren up on that offer - in a flash!
@@carodeloIf I had to guess, his ambulance chaser of a lawyer talked him out of it. Because the lawyer would only get profit if they settled on Sick Boi for a large amount. The more they could squeeze out of Ren for Sick Boi, the more the attorney makes. A new collab would benefit Kujo and leave his attorney in the dirt. So the attorney saw dollar signs and likely was an earworm, telling Kujo why a collab would be a bad deal, convincing him that Ren would probably screw him over, and his pride and greed got the best of him and he let the lawyer dictate things. I bet neither of them ever anticipated that Ren would let the song go.
@@Kxngwells Oh, for sure, his pride and ego had a strong influence. His accusing Ren of succumbing to his pride was pure projection. But this kid seems to be all about getting his bag, and I'm sure he considered the idea for that alone, but his lawyer would have talked him out of it, and his pride, greed, and short-sightedness won in the end. The kid doesn't seem too bright. He still somehow thinks Ren has something to do with publishing fees, and he obviously didn't even understand his own Beatstars contract. Bro can't even lie effectively. His lies are so easily disprovable that it's embarrassing. So I have a feeling this was a deadly sin trifecta of greed (from him AND the attorney), pride and envy.
@RealRedBullVodkaGod What Ren paid for the beat or made off of the finished product is is irrelevant. Even after finding out that he had been sold a beat with an uncleared sample, even after Kujo tried to get more out of it than was in the original agreement, Ren tried to sort it out by offering Kujo to do a new collaboration with him and split it 50/50, down the middle. Kujo was complaining about being broke, so Ren offered a solution so that the lawyers wouldn't get to eat into their profit and Kujo would have come out way better for it. Kujo declined. That was a silly, nonsensical move, to say the least. That's what the original comment is referring to.
I´m I reading it wrong? The contract also states, that "if non cleared samples are used, the liability for infringement or violation of the rights of any third party arising from the use of any such sample shall shift from Producer (Kujo) to Licensee (Ren)". This is probably what Kujo is milking. Doesn´t make him less of an asshole, but he´s got it on paper... Anyway, Ren did brilliant in taking it down... So Kujo wont get shit in the future. This makes my blood boil! But also very proud of our boi, for sticking to his principles! LFG!

@Olga-os8sb I totally sympathize with Ren and love his art, but please leave Azahriah out of this problem. AR's attitude towards Ren is slightly different from the way he treated Azahriah. We don't know the details regarding Ren's team, but if I had to guess - there's a possibility they didn't bother him with it as Ren had done nothing wrong and as he says, he was in Canada and would have known about this trip for months. Why bother him with that stuff, he's got enough on his plate - is potentially their thought process. The Copyright claim on the video doesn't make much sense as it's not a real copyright claim, they did it purely on a contract dispute, so I guess his team never expected it. Turning down the opportunity to make a track, is this fishy part to me. Kujo didn't licence a sample from the Bulgarian Choir and tried to sell it, complains his music is going nowhere and thus has to work deadend jobs, but still turns down the opportunity of work in favour of what he thinks is a quick payout and some fame. The fact he kept claims he couldn't get in contact with Ren or his lawyer but already had previously messaged him... I think shows he's not being totally honest. I won't write him off as I don't know him and maybe there's other facts we don't know. But he comes across as a liar and a cheat.
I’ve been watching reactions to this video from people in the industry who have a knowledge I don’t regarding this kind of situation. Very enlightening. I’m so mad this is happening to him. He works so freaking hard and is always uplifting people around him. I feel like even forgetting how they took down such an unbelievable piece of art, they attacked Ren’s character and he is the last person who’d deserve that. All that being said, I’m VERY excited about all the music drop coming up though!
This response is EPIC & demonstrates how honesty & transparency should be the go to. Cloak & dagger tactics are for those with nefarious intentions. I think it's clear who is in the wrong here. Kujo has killed his name/brand.
It's the Lawyer!! The only reasonable ex[plantation for tKUJO not taking that 50/50 deal is because there was nothing in it for the Lawyer, He is using KUJO whom I suspect, is not too bright. Do his Lawyer and his girlfriend know each other? I'll bet that no matter how much money that lawyer gets from Ren,, KUJO isn't getting any of it.

The funniest part of all of this is, because of his feelings, Kujo has taken away him being able to listen to and enjoy Rens music. Thats the real tragedy. 😂
Kujo's biggest mistake was not taking Ren's 50/50 offer, Kujo was moaning about doing shit jobs and finding it hard to find time for his music. Ren offered the olive branch that was his chance for his music career to take off.

@@somuchpepperyes fair enough bad comments don't help
A lot of fans follow from a distance and are only half informed
Or flat out trolls and not really fans
Imagine stealing a sample and selling it within your own beat and then calling Ren dishonest and a liar. Kujo should count himself lucky that he's not being sued for stealing a sample
I mean it really all should go back to this shouldn't it. And what "contract" did Ren supposedly breach anyway? Didn't he purchase a license for unlimited use (no more than 1 video, however)? Were there contracts drawn up where all parties involved with the licensing of some beat get a monetary percentage of any master works created using said beats? Who knows...
Its all part of this old money game 🤘
I HOPE Ren buys the sample from the Bulgarian Choir... and uses it on Sick Boi pt 1.5 !!!!
Edit: Better yet... get a license for the Bulgarian Choir sample kujo stole... use it in the new Sick Boi... then go after Kujo to Take Down his sick boi beat with the stolen sample!!!
THIS!!!!!!
I have a feeling he’s done this as I’ve heard a snippet 🎶
oh if only! that would be brilliant 😂
How fire would it be if they said, hey we both got decieved, let's remix Sick Boy together and sang on it
@@sinfulpixie73 Ren offered that to Kujo and offered him a 50/50 split and dude said no!!! Crazy
Exactly 😈😈😈
Yeah I don't think he's a very smart guy.
Kujo is not owed any Royalties on Ren's song - Ren paid for the beat for a 1 off price for unlimited usage. Kujo is owed the Publishing fee by the Publishers, which is entirely separate to Ren
@@Veeliscious exactly!!!
He should have gotten a new lawyer just for not acknowledging that the contract says that he can't sell a song w/ samples that haven't been cleared. How is that part even being debated?
Ren is dealing with the situation in the best way possible. Love it.
Kujo has to deal with a cuddly beast with huge teeth and claws... Choose how you want to play with him and pay the consequences🤙
I’ve looked at almost everything I can find about Ren back to 2014, including articles he has written. There’s a consistency that shows me his character, thoughtfulness, and integrity throughout. It hurts to watch this happen.

Goosebumps man, spot on
While I'd love to watch the complete vid, I've seen a few already going over Ren's video. Big props for caring about the situation and covering it thoroughly
I understand, it's really long
It is really long, but it explains the technical bits about the music industry beautifully.
(eng. close to: man of honor)
Im impressed, how long Ren stays nice and calm, offers produktiv solution after solution
and Kujo not even have the spine, talking to Ren directly, i.r.l. face to face?
I love to see, how strong Rens mindset and principles got, over a quite long period of his lifetime

From the bottom of my heart, i can feel rens solid, constructiv personality helping him a lot dealing with general proplems and solfing

Ren might be my favorite current artist. Not just for his skill with music, which is great, but also for his character and behaviour as a person. He tries hard to be good and do the right things. Can't wait to hear this tune next week. Should be a banger.
Kujo transitions from bully to victim seamlessly, I bet Ren is not the first he has done this too. Thanks for your reaction❤
He is acting like a classic narcissist! Saying things and denying! Can’t do anything wrong and everyone else gets the blame
Get to know Ren through his music, he is a class act, in so many ways. Us RENegades will defend him to the death. He is an enigma. To be protected. I'm 54, haven't seen an artist this unique in donkeys years. To be independant is the goal for artists, it also spells freedom.
😂 that moment of silence and big sniff of derision when ren said he turned down his offer 😂😂
I 100% agree with what a lot of people are saying. When he reworks Sick Boi, he should do it as a collab with an actual Hungarian choir.
OK, but it is actually a Bulgarian choir.
Kujo could not take the offer because he has no talent. The man steals beats bro.
Kujo stole the sample but he made the beat. Just to clarify.

Huh? Have you heard the beat of Sick Boi? It makes no sense to say the producer of that beat has no talent.

From what I can gather, and I am no lawyer:
Its on the producer to clearly state if there are samples in the track and if so they have to note if the samples were approved and cleared properly.
Can’t wait for Kujo Beat Down 💜💜
I hope that Ren can move past this and not end up in a worse situation. Luckily he is loved by his fans and reactors and WE ALL HAVE HIS BACK.
I swear, the more times I hear the story the less I understand how it all went from Kujo stealing a sample and the owners going “oi that’s ours!” to Kujo and his attorney demanding money from Ren as if he was the thief. It’s like there’s a huge gap and I suspect it’s between Kujo’s ears 👀
Now I am just very impatiently waiting for Kujo Beat Down 🔥
now we all seen the beatstars terms and conditions contract and seen the receipt for the unlimited licence then 100% nailed on NOT RENS PROBLEM!
Never involve lawyers when you can sort things out amicably. It's in lawyers best interests to plant seeds, draw things out and make more money.
@RealRedBullVodkaGod ...Lol...Hope you never get divorced, because you'll find out the hard way !...Something tells me you might just be a lawyer.

Beatstars needs to ban leasing of beats that contain uncleared samples because the beatmakers don't have rights to the beat they are leasing themselves so it makes every beat lease thst contains an uncleared sample a straight scam

I will DEFINITELY be streaming “Kujo Beatdown” when it releases. Let’s go!
it's nuts. i compared it to a sculptor buying an armature from someone, sculpting over it, molding it, casting it, painting it, selling it, then the armature maker wanting a cut when it was never in the original deal.
Such a throughly comprehensive reaction. Respect Anthony Ray. 👏👏
Thank you for covering this, AR. Well done, too. I have a better understanding now. Loved your face when you heard REN’s creative offer to Kujo! I may not have ever been in the business, but any body in their right mind would have taken Ren up on that offer - in a flash!
Ren: "Let's create a project together and make lots of money."
Kujo: "No thanks, I'd rather be broke and hated and destroy my career!
yeah mind boggling isnt it? Like dude why would you refuse a collab like that? Unbelievable!
@@justicedelayed it also could have been a ego issue
Thanks!
Im so glad I found you via BP
I love the realist attitude ❤ thanks for clarifying the points
I´m I reading it wrong? The contract also states, that "if non cleared samples are used, the liability for infringement or violation of the rights of any third party arising from the use of any such sample shall shift from Producer (Kujo) to Licensee (Ren)". This is probably what Kujo is milking. Doesn´t make him less of an asshole, but he´s got it on paper... Anyway, Ren did brilliant in taking it down... So Kujo wont get shit in the future. that sniff 😂😂 when u saw he refused the colab offer ..glad I find you through Ren ..look forward to watching your stuff xx
The pause on the "if youre petty pause" was fkn immediate 😂😂😂 didnt enev finish the sentence 😂😂😂. Me too
Interesting to note others have used the same sample. Thanks
Thanks Anthony!

Thanks for breaking this down. Good job. Love the twinkle in Ren's eye.
Best thing is it comes out on my birthday 🎂 I owe Ren so much as I have had almost identical experiences and finding him has brought me new breath!
Bitter Sweet Symphony and Richard Ashcroft keeps coming to mind with all this!!!
Good to see you again Anthony Ray - thanks for your analysis - cheers from the outback 🦘🦘

Watched this entire thing after watching Ren's initial release last night. Really nice job of explaining this all in greater detail given your background in the industry.
Oh my god, the moment when #AR started clapping and repeating 'let's fucking go...!' 🤣
The RenArma Train is about to toot f’kin toot!!!
The funniest part of all of this is, because of his feelings, Kujo has taken away him being able to listen to and enjoy Rens music. Thats the real tragedy. 😂
Ren is such an amazing dude 🥰
The Sick Boi gonna teach the sick puppy a lesson!!! Lol
5/9 Cannot get here fast enough! Lol
