At the world indoors next year I can definitely see a new pb, I'm guessing 6.42. I don't think he can improve a whole lot on 9.82 in general, as Eugene is still a very fast track despite the headwind. With good conditions and a perfect run, he might be hitting 9.80 flat in the 2019 world championships, but I don't see him beating out DeGrasse, who I really expect to be hitting high 9.7s and 19.6-5s by the 2019 Worlds. I do believe he'll do better than bromell though
Athletic Productionz it will be interesting to see bromell vs coleman because they both have the same strenghts.. crazy start and crazy alcceleration.. just need to work on their speed endurance
I think high 9.7 for degrasse is possible under good conditions, if he gets the start right on a fast track with something like +1.5 wind he should be right in the 9.78s or somewhere. He performs when it counts
TheoOJamaloO1 coleman has more potential imo, because he doesnt necessarily have the same level of technique bromell has on the start, but he has the power to get a great accel. If he gets the technique right he could be an even better started than he already is, which is frightening. Coleman has a body a lot more like bracy
No is nothing compared to other current runners. He is the best starter however with a consistent speed but very average acceleration compared world class finishers.
Sub 10-Zin well not anymore asafa got old.. and bromell we'll see when he gets back.. but justin gatlin had a crazy start too two years ago.. now he focuses more on his finish
2:28 when was Christian Coleman a defending champion? In 2016 he lost to Nathaniel in the SEC Championships both 100/200 and in the NCAA he lost to Jarrion Lawson in both the 100m and the 200m?
I think that footage was from the indoors. Without going back and looking at his race history I can't help you off the top of my head. Although I am confident it will be in the 60m or 200m indoor in either SEC or NCAA.
Focus on your advantage. Blake has quick legs and bolt long strides. If youre tall focus on strides and finish. And if smaller than fast legs and good starts.
No don't focus on quick legs or stride length.Focus on technique. When you get the technique right, your legs will move fast naturally and strides will be longer.
EglValley the technique is pumping your arm backwards. Even if de grasse arm is straight. It still pumps backward. His arm might be straightening out to make up for an imbalance somewhere.
ogt 2k he is still gone mid-season missing all of the prior indoor season and the outdoor national championships with no announcements for him to appear in any upcoming races. Worrying...
If he could finish just as strong as he starts he could easily be in that 9.7 9.6 category. 60m point he's done gets out way ahead of the pack then starts to lose it.
I'll explain to you nicely, it's not that they want let off. But fatigue kicks in, it's a running technique. You start hopping around that distance , if you try running any faster you slow yourself down. That's a somewhat basic explanation
Ronnie Baker has emerged this season as a top dog. He starts as well as Coleman, and finishes much better. He'll def hit the 9.8 mark this season. Some talent the US are producing out. Bromell, Baker, Coleman all up in line after gatlin. Hell of a relay team too.
@@xidiamond6851 bolt has proved himself over and over. In fact bolt was tested more harsher and frequently than any other sprinter. Bolt was band from eating certain foods. Great acceleration but poor top speed. He’s strong to get off the block but slows down later. While Lyles is slow off the block but quick near the finish. Still nothing close to Bolt or Blake who ran exceptionally fast times.
Usain Bolt at 21 already ran a 9.72 100m dash, then a 9.69 100m dash at Beijing (which would’ve been lower had he not slowed down significantly the last 30m), and a 19.31 200m dash. Chris Coleman ain’t shit.
Every athlete has his/her own progression rate. Coleman was running 11.80 for his 100m and 23.6 for his 200m in his sophomore year. Usain Bolt ran a world junior record when he was 15. next year Coleman's 100 was 11.15 and his senior year he blew up running a 10.29 for his 100m in high school. That's a crazy trajectory to consider. He is more of a short sprint runner than the longer sprints. Usain Bolt never ran 100m until he was in his 20's and his first time was 10.03. You can't just compare athetes based on their age and what times they ran because of different coaching styles or considering when they actually got into the sport. If you aren't as good as these athletes then you shouldn't call them out saying "they ain't shit!" and stuff. Bolt retired at the age of 30 which is a young age to retire considering other elite sprinters so its just about when they peak and about their progression cycles.
What do you guys think he will produce at the next major championship?
