Using a drill driver and screwing a drywall screw into them will work the smoothest. Driving a nail with a hammer works well to. One interesting fact: a friend drives a loader at the local landfill and cuts discarded batteries all the time. He says they are never a problem but amusing once he sees the white smoke.
I have an insane amount of RC’s and LiPo’s to match. I just received (today) a Sports Cub S for the neighbors to fly and the first 1S I charged burst but I had time to flip a cup over it. Lit my rug on fire. It can just happen even when your safe. Just always watch them while charging. You’ll smell it pretty quick.
@@RCMANIAC-YT i know without balance charge or doing over charge they can blust but can lipo batteries get blust when i store them in storage voltage (3.8-3.85) in safe place some moths or some days without using?
this was comparably tame, because it was flat, old batteries. i've seen a fully charged high drain battery go off after hitting a steel H-beam at like 60m/s (200km/h) . once the lithium ignites, shit gets proper scary!
@@RCMANIAC-YT yeah it's easier and faster. I get that. I still enjoy my TMAXX WITH A O.S .21 NITRO WITH A 2 SPEED TRANS. love the revs and the shifting. It goes over 40mph for sure. No exploding batteries. I dont feel safe having those lipo bombs stored in my basement lol
Yea I thing it would be fun to have a nitro some day, it would be nice to have some noise lol, I'm fairly careless with my lipos and I've never had an issue with em so I can't say they aren't dangerous their not bad. There's still just something nice about having a nitro...
@@RCMANIAC-YT Nitro was all we had if we wanted to go fast back in the day. So i still stick with old faithful. The Tmaxx is still fast by today's standards
I like how your testing procedures involve hitting them with hammers while wearing sandals. 🤣
Haha! That’s the best way to test anything
“A rc guys nightmare when seeing smoke in your rc”
You’re literally wearing flip flops while doing this

Haha. Lipo bags are nice. Never actually had a problem with a lipo before... *knocks on wood*

Lipo batteries are completely safe IF you take the PROPER precautions. Awesome video though!!
Totally agree, thanks!

Lipo lipo lipo lipo lipo!
Hammer hammer hammer hammer hammer!
Now we know how globe warming happens xD
I wonder if carbon welding mat would help contain the fire? The bag can handle the explosion just not the heat. Carbon matt can withstand map gas.
I'm surprised your still here with natural selection and all
What about the angry parent? 😂
Try this at home if you want… no dont try this at home period 😅
2:11 someone lost their shoes
Real smart...................
Love the vid

if you ever get lost in the woods and need fire. . go put a hole in your phone and it will start a fire.
Exactly 🤣
Ummmm... You know the fumes from that smoke is hazardous, don't you?
Yes, but before it catches fire it has a pleasant solvent smell.
Li ion or li polimor safe?
Guys shouldn’t be playing with those my house burnt down because a lipo randomly exploded
I've heard stories about that... sorry man that sucks
WHY'RE YA WEARIN SANDALS YA BIG SILLY

They’re not safe. We almost lost our home yesterday.
I'm sorry that really sucks 😟 if handled properly they can be fairly safe though
Can you smash a Samsung Galaxy note 7
Jesus creepers and fire,so not a good idea bro Lol
Haha lol I think it's safe enough

Some were yes a few of them were partly charged but were damaged batteries
