I'd like to add: consistency is much more important than difficulty in contests. Don't attempt tricks that you hit less than 80% of the time. They are simply not worth it in the current judging system.

Rexly It pretty much needs to be responsive, but in general, using a 1a yoyo for 4a is silly and makes very little sense.
Hello yotricks, i just got a shutter, and tje bearing wont work. Ive cleaned it, lubed it properly, and now its responsive! I dont know what else to do, please help
If the Shutter is new you should contact the store where you got it and see if they can help you out.

Yoyo Person you can’t go wrong with any of these but I vote shutter.

Does the houdini mount count as a different variation other then double or nothing or is it the same?
I think most judges would consider it the same, but it all depends on how you get into it and how you use it, not so much on the mount itself.

Are you guys getting rid of colors for your yoyos i have noticed there are a few missing?
Like what? When a color sells out and they are no longer made, we do remove them from our store.
The replay pro used to have a fire color and the pack that comes with 2 flights and a flee one of the flights had a green and blue marble like color. I am just sad to see them go and was curious if they would come back.
If YoYoFactory makes more like that we will bring them back for sure.

The store is an aftermarket brand that put the yoyo on resale, and sadly from the site they are selling off of(amazon) there is no way to contact them
It sounds like you will probably need to get a new bearing then.

Personally, I think your bearing is fine. They always become responsive when you over-lubricate them. The MOST you should be putting in there is a tiny drop. More than that will actually cause the bearing to lose energy faster due to fluid turbulence and make the yoyo responsive. Hope this helps, I made the same mistake when starting out too.

You would have to ask the judges about that. I have not watched his routine all that carefully, but perhaps they were all variations that required different skills to complete.
